THE PATRICIAN TOTALITARIANS

Western populations live within the all-encompassing remit of state-governed totalitarian overseers.

Expressed thoughts are monitored for compliance with acceptable norms as determined & enforced by these overseers.

Increasingly on Twitter, Facebook and all other major social media sites these overseers are gaining ever greater command.

The goal is to achieve the kind of thought control exhibited by those who run Wikipedia.

Within Wikipedia only statements their overseers stamp as fact and which correspond to the predominant regime change agenda of western states are permitted. Any anti-war sentiments are expunged and those communicating them smeared with no right of reply.

Western elites deem compliance with their thought-control efforts to be crucial. The effort to exclude all significant voices garnering a reasonable following is regarded as a major task requiring constant effort.

What are the viewpoints that underpin such draconian and speech-stifling actions?

This question is extremely difficult to answer but can be broken down into several categories with attendant possible answers.

The three main categories are, ‘The Believers’, ‘The Cynics’, ‘The Cold Warriors’ and ‘The Greedy Opportunists’.

THE BELIEVERS

In this first category we have those who actually implicitly believe in what they are doing and that its is vital they do it for the good of the whole world. They believe in the concept of the West upholding all the best standards regarding openness, various freedoms, democracy, law and governance.

Their belief bubble is impermeable. They have grown within this environment of mutually reinforced group-thought their entire lives. They know no one holding alternate views to theirs and they would not wish to know such persons. They consider anyone holding views not compatible with theirs to be puppets of despots and unspeakably evil bots that seek to undermine everything they hold dear.

THE CYNICS

The cynics know there is more than one side to the geopolitical issues that obsess them. They are aware of the iniquities the West has perpetrated in past times. yet they will wholeheartedly support a completely one sided narrative with its one-sided agenda and rhetoric. For instance, they will know the history of U.S. involvement in overthrowing presidents and governments by the USA in Latin America yet they will still support to the hilt the effort to gain regime change in Venezuela.

THE COLD WARRIORS

The Cold Warriors are locked tight inside the mentality that was mandatory during the entire existence of the USSR. Most of them of course were not alive during the entire time it existed but have become imbued with this fixed view regarding Russia and China and those aligned to some degree in not bowing in supplication to the wishes of the USA and other western states. It is unlikely any of them seriously consider alternative views to their own as even vaguely sustainable.

THE GREEDY OPPORTUNISTS

The Greedy Opportunists are merely interested in how they can benefit from war and the threat of war. They are money-minded individuals who see the vast riches to be gained by traveling on the gravy train of state. War is extremely good for some businesses. Media outlets thrive in times of war or threat of war. The drama excites interest and the notion something powerful is being done. The fear generates obedience and a desire for more information. Of course mainstream media in the West never assuages this fear but remorselessly only adds to it. Then there are the most major benefactors of war, the industries of the military industrial complex and its many symbiotically-related corporate interests. As a group the greedy opportunists have great power. They sponsor the most elite politicians with endless finance. Their lobbyists whisper endlessly into the ears of these political elites. The words never promote peace and peaceful reconciliation and agreement but only endless war.

These four in combination have agreed an acceptable reality that they feel it is imperative to enforce “for the good of all”. Why would they allow alternative views that they consider aid their enemies and serve to undermine the security and stability only they can provide?

Therefore the increasing censorship. Therefore the smearing of anti-war activists or any who seek to point out the faults and failings and downright atrocities that the West has within it and has perpetrated. The elites in the categories above hold as sacrosanct that western influence is wholly beneficial and that every intent is pure. Therefore any opposing view is on its face unhelpful and downright treasonous and to be stopped in its tracks most, if not all of the time.

These are the patrician totalitarians. They seek the continuing predominance of the West and its continued use of long-held abilities to overlook, react to, judge and punish the activities of individuals and nations they find abhorrent.

Abhorrent too, to them, are individuals within their own nations who attempt a more nuanced or indeed truth-seeking mode of thinking on geopolitical matters. To them these are agents of the enemy (whoever the chosen enemy maybe, whether Russia, China, Venezuela, Iran, Cuba or others. They wish to give them no quarter and this is why we see censorship of such individuals spreading across social media.

These categories of men and women, some sincere in their beliefs, some simply fixed within them, some who just see advantage in them are the ones generating the current effort to create western societies where efforts are constantly made to control minds and generate consent for their stances.

They want a de facto prison planet where only one belief system prevails...  for the good of all you understand? The bars on your prison will be virtual, not actual. The fears that will keep you inside your cell will be inserted in your mind by the censorship that’s now ongoing and the knowledge you will be observed and regarded as an enemy of the state.

This is the world the patrician totalitarians of the West are daily taking us toward.
