UKRAINE: ATROCITY PORN, SERIAL LIES & WESTERN PROPAGANDA

Whether the majority of the western world knows it or not the Ukraine war has been characterised by arguably the greatest number of lies ever conveyed as fact in any previous war. These lies have come in serial fashion from the Ukrainian regime and conveyed as fact via western mass media news outlets.

The first and most innocuous of these lies was the least harmful in its effects, serving only to bolster Ukrainian morale in the early days of the war. This was the fantasy portrayed as fact of a modern day version of Germany’s first world war hero Baron Manfred von Richthofen who was a German pilot eventually credited with 80 air combat victories. The fictitious Ukrainian version was given the moniker, ‘The Ghost of Kiev’ and was credited before his exposure as pure fantasy with shooting down 40 Russian aircraft.

Such stories have featured in many wars and, at their more innocuous level as above serve to bolster morale, both in the ranks and among the civilian population. However, there is a wider use for such tall tales where the goals are stretched far wider into the weaponizing of words to a degree where real impact is achieved on the other side.

In the USA the CIA has significant resources dedicated to creating believable lies to achieve such results. This can extend beyond simply having lies seeded in national newspapers and mainstream media news shows. Counterfeiting various items is also seen as an important element in the armoury of what are known as Psychological Operation teams (PsyOps for short.) These are also complemented by the Black Operations teams (BlackOps). Any kind of deceit that can lower enemy morale, heighten allied morale, degrade enemy influence or enhance allied influence that can be made believable will be used.

The techniques alluded to above have been used many times, stretching back many years, even to medieval times when for instance the lie that the Saracens were killing Christian babies and drinking their blood was used to recruit troops for the Crusades to “liberate” Jerusalem. More recently, during the Iraq war there were several instances, the most well known of them being the ‘Kuwaiti babies torn from incubators by Iraqi troops’ fabrication and the Jessica Lynch story which conjured up a fictitious daring rescue of said Jessica from the clutches of the Iraqis.

Coming up to present time we have had the most number of these “useful lies’ related in the shortest time frame ever over the last few months in the war that has raged in Ukraine. Each and every one of them including the latest that has featured in almost every mainstream news outlet over the last 24 hours were reported as if they were cut and dried obvious with no possible need for scepticism or investigation.

Note: In reading of the atrocities below please keep in mind that in all but one of the events below they took place in eastern Ukraine within the Donbass region and in all cases the casualties were Russian-speakers that the Russian campaign sought to free from what was strongly perceived to be oppressive and at times murderous Ukrainian subjugation.

In addition it should be kept in mind that the most radical members among the Ukrainian forces taking part in the conflict consider all Russian-speaking Ukrainians to be man, woman and child sub-humans, traitors to Ukraine, candidates for violent elimination or for ethnic cleansing from Ukraine.

1. The Mariupol Theatre

On 16 March 2022, the Donetsk Regional Drama Theatre in Mariupol, Ukraine was bombed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It was used as an air raid shelter during the siege of Mariupol, sheltering about 1,000 civilians, of whom about 600 were killed. (Wikipedia)

Though it is claimed that this atrocity was investigated no independent investigation was carried out to my knowledge.

‘A closer look reveals that local residents in Mariupol had warned three days before the March 16 incident that the theater would be the site of a false flag attack launched by the openly neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, which controlled the building and the territory around it.

Civilians that escaped the city through humanitarian corridors have testified that they were held by Azov as human shields in area, and that Azov fighters detonated parts of the theater as they retreated. Despite claims of a massive Russian airstrike that reduced the building to ashes, all civilians appear to have escaped with their lives.’

‘While the Russian military operation in Ukraine has triggered a humanitarian crisis in Mariupol, it is clear that Russia gained nothing by targeting the theater, and virtually guaranteed itself another public relations blow by targeting a building filled with civilians–including ethnic Russians.

Azov, on the other hand, stood to benefit from a dramatic and grisly attack blamed on Russia. In full retreat all around Mariupol and facing the possibility of brutal treatment at the hands of a Russian military hellbent on “de-Nazification,” its fighters’ only hope seemed to lie in triggering direct NATO intervention.’

2. The Bucha Atrocity

The details of exactly what happened in the Kiev suburb of Bucha in late March-early April remain unclear. However, Russia was given the blame without question after the atrocity in which it is estimated around 1,000 civilians were summarily executed. It is known however that many wore white armbands and Russian military ration boxes were found in the vicinity of many victims.

I believe the truth of the matter is that after the Russian military left Bucha the Ukrainian forces who entered after them went door to door to locate those who had ‘collaborated’ with the Russian forces (took military rations for them and so forth) and quite possibly as in medieval witch hunts took the word of Ukrainian locals concerning who to apprehend and shoot.

I am aware of no motivation for the Russian forces to perpetrate these acts of inhuman violence against a population it was clearly supplying military rations to as an act of goodwill.

3. Missile attack on Kramatorsk Railway Station.

On the 8th of April 2022 at least one missile attack killed some 60 people who were gathered in the vicinity of Kramatorsk railway station with a view to leaving the city due to their fear of being embroiled in the fighting.

As with the Mariupol Theatre atrocity the word of Ukrainian activists and regime officialdom was accepted at face value. Once again it was almost endlessly repeated that ‘Russia did it’ though no one could offer a motive on the Russian side and the motive of Ukrainian radicals to do so was not seen as worthy of mention.

4. Maternity hospital, school and civilian home attacks.

It is known from video and still image evidence and also from the accounts of civilians that Ukrainian troops have been using civilian infrastructure as bases and fighting positions. In the case of the maternity hospital it is known that it had lain empty and unused for a lengthy period. In regard to schools, video is online showing both Ukrainian troops and weaponry within them. And on the question of using civilians as human shields video and still image evidence has revealed Ukrainian troops amidst civilian housing estates and there are images of notices placed on home and apartment doors that Ukrainian troops have the right to occupy them at a moment’s notice.

5. Kremenchuk Shopping Mall Atrocity

Ukrainian president Zelensky has said that 1,000 people were in the Kremenchuk shopping mall when it was set aflame by some unknown means on the 27th of June. Western mainstream media talk of between 10 and 18 victims however. Russia of course has received the blame once again across all western mainstream news outlets. As in all the cases above this is said merely due to the fact that Ukrainian sources say so. No evidence is supplied and no investigation called for. It is said however that the Google Maps website reveals that the mall has been closed for the past four months.

Update after UN Security Council debate:

‘Russia does not target civilians in Ukraine and did not strike the shopping center in Kremenchug, Moscow’s envoy to the UN told the Security Council on Tuesday. Ambassador Dmitry Polyanskiy said that the mall caught fire due to an explosion of Western-supplied weapons and ammunition, stored at the nearby factory and intended for the shelling of civilians in Donbass, making it a legitimate military target.’

‘“In reality, there was no strike on the mall,” Polyanskiy told the council, as Russia targeted a storage facility at the Kredmash factory next door. The weapons and ammunition stored there were bound for the front, where Ukrainian artillery was bombarding the civilians of Donbass as it had for years, to no objection from the UN, he added. “The Russian strike stopped that.”’

Again, in my firm view the hyperbole and exaggeration by Zelensky and the western mass media is yet another cynical disinformation device to increase the resolve of western nations to further bolster Ukraine’s war effort when there is evidence of it flagging. Of course there is also another explanation if the mall has been closed for four months now, that it has been used to store some of the weaponry and ammunition from the West or as a safe barracks for Ukrainian troops where their normal barracks are too readily spotted by drone for attack.

Are western audiences being swayed by the uniform blame game against Russia for all of the instances above where civilian populations have been either put at severe risk or have been massacred in large numbers. For me the events spoken of above exemplify the depth of cynical manipulation that has infested western wars for many years now but which have reached a fever-pitch level of total cynicism in the ongoing Ukraine war where the manipulation of human misery has reached its absolute nadir.

As was the case in both Iraq and Syria all western institutions, not merely its mass media, have been turned into war mode-pervaded organs of western state propaganda with the useful lies of activists instantly transformed to unquestioned and unquestionable fact in an instant. No scepticism applied, no investigation called for, simply a bald stating of the “facts” as provided by one side painting the other as evil incarnate.
Thus Russia, its president and the Russian forces (acknowledged even by western experts as having been careful NOT to cause civilian casualties or damage vital infrastructure) can be demonised by the entire elite western world acting as one.

THE WHEELS ARE RAPIDLY COMING OFF THE TOTTERING WESTERN WAGON

Yet the wagon masters whip the horses to an ever greater speed.

How many metaphors apply in this present circumstance where everything possible is going wrong that can go wrong across the western world?

There are quite a number apart from the one I used in the heading above.

There is of course the one about Nero fiddling while Rome burns.

More appropriately perhaps there’s the one about adjusting the chairs on the sinking Titanic.. to which we could add, perhaps more closely aligning with the present situation, a captain who sees the iceberg emerging from the gloom and shouts the command, “Full steam ahead!”

This final metaphor I’d say of the three, most closely portrays the crisis now unfolding across western states. But the degree of catastrophe now unfolding before us appears certain to transcend the capacity of mere words to encompass its effects.

And the worst of it is that those who are causing this ongoing disaster are determined to keep doing what they’re doing, without let or hindrance, ever-escalating their actions, completely uncaring apparently of what ultimately transpires to harm their populations.

Indeed, the leadership of the West appear to be gluttons for punishment. Every counterproductive measure followed by more Russian gains in Ukraine alongside an ever-declining economic outlook in the West is followed in turn by even more counterproductive measures. This is a vicious cycle leading to one inevitable end result, a western world bereft of its previous power and in hopeless disarray regarding its aim to become universal dictator in a unipolar world.

This while most of the world looks on aghast unwilling to help the collective west as it grasps for ever-thinner straws while it drowns in an economic and political morass of its own making.

The continual prodding of the Russian bear since at least 2007 and Vladimir Putin’s Munich speech is now having its inevitable result. This hapless quest, to foment a colour revolution in Moscow through endlessly ramping up pressure via Ukraine has resulted in an absolute humiliating debacle of enormous proportions for the entire western world. Previously its leaders were able to wield huge manipulative power over most nations. This ability has now quite obviously been lost as the global south as a whole refuses to any longer obey its strictures.

India is in open revolt against a western leadership that finally pushed its regime change program one stage too far. It and most others who were previously cowed by western power now recognise its oncoming demise, weakened by its own actions, hung on its own petard. They have no wish to slow that process and every incentive to speed it along.

Without the dictatorship of the West hanging constantly over their heads the nations of the world who have previously been treated as hapless minions in a western fiefdom can look forward to a multipolar world where they are treated as equals and with respect. The unipolar world that the western elites were intent on creating where they had total oversight and control held no benefits whatsoever for most nations who prided themselves on their independence as sovereign nations. Quite the opposite.

For the nations above the present downward course of the West can only be welcomed. This as the nations closest to their own hearts who are offering relationships of mutual respect and economic cooperation, Russia and China, offer a far brighter future prospect.

So there we have it.

The fast dying beast of the West hits out at “enemies” only perceived so due to its own mindless delusions… all the while only hurting itself and its now exceedingly tenuous prospects of survival.

And so we have yet one more apt metaphor regarding the present disastrous and wholly self-created disaster we see unfolding across the entire western world.

UKRAINE: BOTH WESTERN & UKRAINIAN LEADERSHIPS READY THEIR MUD FOR SLINGING

The truth cannot be tolerated, therefore comforting delusion must take its place. In tandem with selective delusion many excuses will have been long-readied alongside a generous supply of responsibility-obscuring mud for ‘those over there’.

The entire panoply of western leadership are continuing to surround themselves in mirages of misplaced breast-beating over Ukraine rather than facing anything as onerous as facts.

Those facts are of course incredibly hard to face considering the assumption of western leaders that they are hugely righteous, amounting to the greatest collective global power in existence to whom the concept of defeat is entirely unknown. And that defeat therefore is entirely unthinkable.

Meanwhile, Ukraine goes from one defeat to another, talking all the while of an eventual victory. Its leaders too are blind to the stark reality facing them. The reality of imminent defeat.

Therefore, happily for them (for the time being) all is wished away by means of one total fantasy or another.

Unfortunately for them reality has a nasty habit of barging headlong into even the most beloved of fantasies sooner or later. And, if you look closely you will now see those fantasies beginning to leak at the seams, this being evidenced by signs of an inevitable blame game starting.

The first example concerns Joe Biden, who for no evident reason, recently brought up the fact that Zelensky had initially been unwilling to accept the fact that Russia was about to initiate a campaign in Ukraine. It was a purely gratuitous criticism about a situation more than three months earlier that had no current context to explain it, except an indication from Biden (and perhaps a warning to Zelensky) that if things carried on as they appeared wont to do mud-slinging would not be one-sided in the event of an eventual debacle.

Then there was the article in the New York Times which bemoaned the fact that the western powers knew much more about Russia’s military tactics and activities than about those of Ukraine, giving the distinct (and false) impression that they were to some degree in the dark due to Ukraine not providing adequate information. I predict we will hear more of this kind of talk in due course.

On the Ukrainian side we can also see the mud being gathered ready for slinging.

Neither Zelensky nor any of those in the front line of Ukraine’s leadership are going to capitulate. They are going to act in defiant fashion, forever calling for more assistance by way of heavy weaponry, never for a moment suggesting any desire to come to any agreement with Russia, always ready to fight to the last man. However, the western world is rapidly diminishing in its ability or willingness to supply what the Ukrainian leadership demands. Zelensky and his people cannot say any different, to capitulate for them means almost certain death, or at least perpetual ignominy. A much safer strategy is to keep breast-beating, keep posturing heroically, keep insisting on eventual victory and most important of all, keep demanding more weaponry from the West.

This latter point is vital as it provides the mud to sling later when the protective spin for them will be that they fought like devils for Ukraine but were let down by those promised so much but then failed to deliver.

There is no way Zelensky and co. can agree to talks with Russia now. This route was taken only a few weeks into Russia’s campaign. It was even bearing some fruit. Ukraine agreed to some important (though not enough) crucial aspects that provided some hope that continued talks might bring a meaningful breakthrough. It was the western leaders who apparently convinced Zelensky to break off these talks and row back on the progress made. Chief of those who convinced Zelensky of this was seemingly Boris Johnson but undoubtedly Joe Biden had a hand in it also. It seems Zelensky was told that if he abandoned talks with Russia he would be delivered overwhelming firepower with which to defeat Russia.

This defeat of Russia is now extremely obvious by its absence. Yet still both sides make a pretense of confidence on an ‘if only’ basis. If only the West provided the enormous number of weapons required and if only Ukraine provided the troops to operate them.

It is becoming ever more clear however that both of these ‘if only’ factors are also going to be obvious by their absence. The logistics of providing the arms, ammunition and training necessary by the West make the first part of the task unattainable and the decimation of Ukrainian troops via tactical incompetence by Ukraine make the second part unattainable also. Besides, Russia has the manufacturing base to supply and resupply both men and materiel on such an unlimited basis to defeat Ukraine no matter what is done now.

So we will no doubt see this theatre of the absurd continue whereby both the western powers and the Zelensky regime talk pie in the sky while that sky increasing falls down upon them. Neither appear willing to face reality. Too much is at stake for them personally if they do. Meanwhile Ukrainian troops die in their droves. The politicians are doing their level best to save their own necks while that abominable suffering drags ever on. No talks. No concessions. More deaths. More territory taken. But the heroic status of Zelensky retained till the end with a finger pointing at the deceivers and foot-draggers of the West who let his country down. In the USA and across the western world we will hear a different refrain however, one that talks of Ukrainian officials providing “inaccurate information”, officials who talked up victories that had no reality but that conjured up in their own minds. So it will go, I predict.

THE ‘ALL-POWERFUL WEST’ HAS BEEN REVEALED AS A PAPER TIGER

The western response to Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine has thrown into glaring light the question of just how powerful the combined western world truly is.

This has been exposed to the entire world in two distinct and revealing ways.

Firstly, Russia’s operation itself exposed the fact that Russia was no longer in a position to be cowed or pressured into accepting the dictates of the acknowledged leader of the collective west, the USA. Russia was told to accept the fact that NATO was to be on its doorstep and had no right to any say in the matter. These are almost the exact words of Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of NATO after Russia’s final request that NATO forces should be withdrawn in late 2021. Washington responded with a more nuanced reply to Russia but essentially reinforced the status quo whereby Russia was to be regarded as a minor irritant where the vastly more important western ambitions were concerned.

Numerous dire warnings concerning what would be Russia’s fate if she dared assert any meaningful force in her sphere of influence were made. Indeed, the general agreement across the West was that Russia had no right to any sphere of influence and should simply acquiesce to whatever was to be done in proximity to her borders.

With Russia’s special military operation of the 24th of February we saw that Russia totally contradicted the overall belief-structure concerning her that the western leadership clearly considered to be without question, that they had virtually all the power involved where its interests were concerned and that Russia MUST obey (or be obliterated).

We see now that this is not at all how things have played out. Russia called the West’s bluff and won the resultant sanctions-war “game”. Western leaders huffed and puffed but instead of blowing the Russian house down in fact ended up strengthening it. Not only that, it ended up exposing their own weakness and to their great shock and chagrin, weakening their own economies.

The process described above has only just begun and it appears certain that the present disastrous effects on the western world and potentially other regions look destined to create lasting effects on the very foundations of what appeared previously to be successful economies that provided the underpinning for political bases of global power.

The second revelation which has followed Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine has been the response of nations such as India. Where India has been assumed, along with others, to be a staunch ally of the USA and could have been expected to support its response to Russia’s campaign, this has not been the case. India’s response has been to refuse to follow the U.S. line regarding Russia but to instead draw ever closer to Russia in economic terms at the very least and by all accounts politically also.

The weakness of the western position is being steadily revealed by the way many nations appear to be taking this opportunity to show that they are no longer willing to remain quiet or appear to be in agreement with western ambitions that have in recent history only been detrimental to world stability. The western interventions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria have been almost unmitigated disasters and this fact has not gone unrecognised. The unwillingness to follow the USA and its western allies now by those in the global south and elsewhere makes this plain. China and Russia, advocating a policy of making agreements, investment and toleration of political diversity in terms of governance have become much more attractive than the chaos that has tended to follow in the wake of western foreign policies.

Most of the world is telling the USA and its allies that they are no longer afraid of their threats and are much less inclined to accept their bribes either. China and to a lesser degree Russia offer far more attractive and risk-free opportunities regarding economic development without the strings-attached, backed by threat options, previously offered by the West, a West now becoming far less powerful in economic terms.

As the West diminishes in economic terms, financial clout and in terms of military threat while Eurasian economic interconnectedness and economic cooperation increases we can see plainly in which direction the future lies. The nations now daring to look east rather than west have quite obviously seen which way the wind is blowing. A multipolar world is on its way and is coming into ever-greater focus. The era of western power is waning and the leaders of western powers are looking less like the threatening ogres of times past that all nations needed to take account of and obey and more like paper tigers that the stronger winds from the east increasingly threaten to blow away.

THE WEST’S RAPIDLY INCREASING PROBLEMS WITH RUSSIA

The western political elite have a series of problems with Russia that unless resolved will disfigure the geopolitical landscape for generations.

The primary problem these elites have is that the Russian leadership is unwilling to acquiesce to the notion that any one nation or grouping of nations should have global dominance. This was spelled out with utmost clarity by the president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, in his address to assembled western elite figures in 2007.

Exacerbated by the events of 9/11 but already for many decades a primary U.S. goal attaining full global dominance brooked no opposition and the determination of its elites was to weaken, eliminate and replace all recalcitrant powers not in compliance with U.S. and western requirements.

There are many diverse justifications for U.S. and western interference in the affairs of those nations targeted for weakening, elimination and replacement. First and foremost is the concept of democracy.

In the USA and across the western world the democratic system is lauded as unarguably the best method of providing populations with a say in how they are governed. In reality this is restricted to certain classes of individuals, in the USA a primary requirement is extensive financial backing and elsewhere in the West the candidates for office are similarly restricted to a relatively small pool who are relatively of elite status within their societies. Nevertheless, this is considered by western leaders to correspond well to so-called democratic principles.

In various nations around the world the democratic system does not prevail and many of these nevertheless are allies of the USA and other western nations. Examples of these are Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar. These nations have their own social, religious and cultural reasons for not moving toward democracy.

Russia however does hold elections corresponding to the rules of democracy albeit western elites question the fairness to all parties within them. However, Russia has only relatively recently moved to a democratic system, never before in its history having had one. In addition to the evolving of processes toward greater democracy in Russia the particular aspects of how financial power has grown in the hands of non-governmental sources such as the Russian oligarchy and Russian mafia.

It can be argued that to open the Russian Federation to the same degree as western societies in regard to democratic systems would have, until relatively recently, presented a real risk of it falling into the unscrupulous hands of either the oligarchy or the mafia. This was clearly a risk as Russia emerged from the era of the Soviet Union in chaotic circumstances where the most wealthy and powerful sought influence.

In my opinion, due to some nations who are thoroughly undemocratic such as those mentioned above and who remain close allies of the West, and Russia being at the very least partially democratic, the perceived lack of democracy in Russia is not the true reason for it being targeted by the West. It is my considered opinion that it is rather the fact of the Russian leadership not agreeing to domination and control by the western powers that lies at the heart of western aims regarding it.

Both Russia and China are clear targets for U.S. and western foreign policy ambitions in their combined desire to establish permanent hegemony for themselves as the rightful heirs to a system of a global patrician guardianship. Added to Russia and China are a number of other nations also targeted for regime change by the collective west. Iran, Syria, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and others receive sustained attempts to weaken them with a view to eliminating and replacing their current leadership.

Now, with Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine the tables have begun to be turned on the USA and its allies. At the onset it was presumed that the western allies could use the opportunity presented to attain the already existing goals as enumerated above, to weaken Russia, to eliminate its leadership and replace it. The opposite effect is being seen however with existing political leaders in the West now looking decidedly vulnerable to overthrow and replacement. Rising prices as a result of sanctions placed on the Russian Federation have instigated a significant blowback phenomenon which shows no sign of abating. This does not correspond at all with the long-held ambitions of western leaders in regard to establishing their dominance by the means described above, i.e. through weakening, eliminating and replacing the leadership of rival nations.

Ironically Russia is emerging ever stronger due to the sanctions designed to make it weaker. This process appears still to have a long way to run as the western powers appear opposed to any change in their policies toward Russia vis a vis Ukraine. Current trends are therefore likely to continue and grow ever more powerful in their effects, especially as Russia’s allies such as China are working to a common and ever more successful purpose and with the additional support of powerful nations such as India, to turn the tide on the abuse of power they perceive as being perpetrated by the West in decades and even centuries past.

Russia then, and all who think in much the same way as the Russian leadership now present a huge range of problems to a western world rapidly diminishing as the world’s supreme power base.

WE ARE EXPERIENCING THE MORAL, ECONOMIC & ETHICAL DEATH KNELL OF THE WEST

Jeffrey Epstein is only one of the great many figures within the western world who had wealth and influence who have shown themselves to be totally corrupted souls engaged in evil activities which have blighted so many lives. There are so many cases which have come to light in recent times across the West where such people have risen to prominence in the western system of casino capitalism and aggressive competition.
In the USA the #MeToo scandal with Harvey Weinstein at its centre clearly revealed that the western world had an immense problem connected with elite power and its abuse. The #BlackLivesMatter movement also showed an institutional racism had survived there. Countless financial scandals down the decades also reinforced the view that there was something rotten at the core of western capitalism.
In Britain the paedophile scandals surrounding some of the most famous people and previously well-respected figures reflected a similar decay of general moral and ethical standards.
These are only the most outward and publicised signs and examples of a decay that has been a long-standing feature of western lifestyles and their systemic roots.

The malaise goes much deeper and has a long history. This plague of inner and outer decay has grown for decades and has been emerging ever more obviously in recent years. The elements where moral and ethical decay can be seen most clearly vary across a platform of vices in the West from pornography to hard drug use to corporate criminality to mind-bending cults to hard core crime, to increasing gun use and violence to an ever-increasing nihilism of youth. A decay in value systems from community to petty crime, tax avoidance and the fostering of a shallow pseudo-celebrity form of elitist fascism, has permeated western cultures more and more in recent years, leaving these shallow “open minds” prey to massive government conditioning.

Western societies have been hollowed out in regard to integrity, basic common sense and any widespread trace of intellectual ability allowing scrutiny of the pernicious policies of their governments. This has become a relative rarity outside the realm of purely selfish gratification. This has resulted in a majority who are so drowned in the sleazy milieu of personal ambition and indulgence that they are now almost incapable of rational thought. This is the majority who can now be guided like sheep to the slaughter in support of whatever criminal acts their state functionaries demand they acquiesce to.
These are the regime change wars based on lies cynically channelled by western states through a corrupted and wholly complicit western mainstream media. These scarcely camouflaged racist wars would have been inconceivable to the public of western states if not for a conditioned blindness that has been carefully fostered in the majority by their state institutions.

From 2007 and a certain speech in Munich we have seen all of the factors above used in the most complete act of cynical conditioning that outdoes anything attempted before, a far more pervasive and universal level of barely hidden propaganda that has underpinned the conditioning of shallow western minds by its focus on one man, Vladimir Putin.

This culmination of a general shallowness of mind and the increasingly degraded and distracted nature of western minds where the ability to perceive reality has been dimmed and the general perception of reality conditioned, has been put to effective use by western states. This process, actively pursued since 2007 has left a western public as reactive as Pavlov’s Dogs.
The general fogged mindset with all its attendant seducing physical material wants and desires mixed in with increasing phobias and sickness-inducing habits and vulnerabilities has made western populations an excellent target for Machiavellian techniques of control and manipulation. This is now being used to guide support for an extremist Ukrainian regime where modern day Nazis hold de facto power against a Russia seeking to unseat them.

George Orwell foresaw all of this long years before of course. He foresaw the bleating western “sheep” in virtually complete docility moving inexorably toward the very efficient, state-operated, abattoir of the mind.
Thankfully most nations worldwide have natural cultural antibodies to this process, cultures founded on resource-poor conditions where excess is uncommon and where minds must remain sharp, alert and focused to ensure mutual survival and where long-maintained traditions and levels of cultural integrity would risk the perils of anarchic chaos and terminal levels of poverty if abandoned. They are well aware of the risks they’d run if they took the western road to rampant excess, waste, gleeful irresponsibility, nihilism, a sexual free-for-all, rabid, dog-eat-dog competition, all part and parcel of a low-integrity, sexual and corporate downward spiral to moral and ethical decay.
The nations standing against the collective western world at this moment, especially those of Russia and China, are those who dare to defend themselves against a western world that has always to some degree evidenced its immorality and unethical foundations but is now in terminal moral and ethical decline. They stand increasingly united, stronger than ever before and more determined than ever before not to be taken down by the fast-disintegrating West or to be taken down by it.

No… the West will alone descend the toilet bowl of history, as all previous empires of unsaveable decadence have done before it. There is clearly no saving it, especially now as it has become universally imbued with the state-created lies that blind it to the reality of the situation in Ukraine and the oncoming multipolar world in which its obvious and ever-worsening degradation has no decent place.

UKRAINE: DO YOU CARE ABOUT COMMITTING ATROCITIES WHEN YOU SEE YOUR TARGET AS A SUBHUMAN RUSSIAN TRAITOR?

For eight years, from the Spring of 2014 to the present day, Monday June 13, Ukrainian forces have fired military projectiles of one kind or another into the villages, towns and cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine.

These mortar shells and missiles were fired at random hitting whatever stood in their path, often high-rise residential buildings, occasionally hospitals or schools and if neither of these family homes, urban streets or centres. They killed or maimed thousands over the last eight years.

Unless you have been paying close attention over these years you will be unaware of any of this. All that you will tend to remember over those years from your news broadcasts and newspaper articles is that somehow or other Russia is causing problems for Ukraine.

As an observer of all this from the start I looked for any reflection of what was being done to the inhabitants of these regions within western press and media and found virtually nothing. It was neither politically, career-securing nor socially advisable to report what was being done. To do so would initiate comeback of one sort or another from superiors or from some exterior government-related source.

Most of the time it is likely that massive self-censorship was in operation. Journalists and commentators knew which stories were acceptable and which were not, which views could be aired and which not, what might get you praise and a promotion and which a stalled career or a speedy exit from your place of employment.

Perhaps today where the Ukrainians who have been pummelling Donetsk and Lugansk regions which they have held under siege for eight years hit a maternity hospital in the Vishnevsky district of Donetsk. Reportedly the Ukrainians are using shells from a massive French self-propelled howitzer (CAESAR) with a calibre of 155mm.

Will today be different with western mainstream newsrooms featuring the blurred bodies of the mother and child killed? I doubt it. The ‘war mode’ mentality right across both the political and media elites in the West is all-pervasive… and to be straightforward about it, has been so for the past eight years. Why should anything change now?

Therefore the shelling of the civilian population of Donetsk by the same Ukrainian forces that have done so with the implicit support of western states will without doubt continue.

Perhaps you are asking, along with the obvious question of why none of the shelling of these civilians was reported over the last eight years, how could Ukrainians come to callously target civilians like this?

The answer lies in the fact that Ukraine is two nations in one. The largely Ukrainian-speaking West looks westward and many of those there also look toward the Nazi-supporting legacy of Ukrainian nationalists. The largely Russian-speaking East looks eastward and most of them recall their liberation by the Soviet Red Army with pride.

To the most rabid of the modern Ukrainian nationalists Russian speakers are traitors to Ukraine, sub-humans who ought to be eliminated from the borders of Ukraine and by one means or another. They seek only one language to be spoken in Ukraine regardless of how many generations the Russian-speaking population have existed in Ukraine.

To those infected with Nazi-legacy beliefs those in the East whom they refer to as ‘Moskals’ (Russians) have no right to be there. They dream of a time when they have been either killed or removed. They deem them, as the Nazis did, as subhumans only worthy of death.

This is the evil root of the events of today and the unconscionable support given that evil by the western powers, it political and media elites who share in the guilt by their crimes of omission and commission in fuelling these atrocities and failing to report them.

UKRAINE: DO YOU CARE ABOUT COMMITTING ATROCITIES WHEN YOU SEE YOUR TARGET AS A SUBHUMAN RUSSIAN TRAITOR?

UKRAINE & RUSSIA: WESTERN MEDIA TALKING HEADS & THEIR TOTAL IRRELEVANCY

If headless chickens could cluck I imagine they would sound very much like western media commentators today on the subjects of Russia and Ukraine and would have just as much influence on Farmer Ivan who runs the farm. I.e. None.

The chattering classes of the western world are in full-throated high gear with no end of hot air to expend on these subjects. All to no avail. Russia pays no mind to them whatsoever and it is becoming increasingly clear that they are exhibiting the very thing Shakespeare wrote about in his play, ‘Macbeth’.

‘Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
signifying nothing.’

Yet the twenty-four hour news cycle must be filled and Ukraine is without question the big issue. Therefore the hot air must be expended and hours of vacuous talk must fill the airwaves. Each minute element of disinformation and spin must be spun further with endless convoluted views expressed, always and ever avoiding historical facts and reporting of reality.

The most vital factor across all western mainstream networks is the constant use of pejorative terms in reference to Russia and a constant flow also of sympathy and support for Ukraine. Facts are of little assistance, it’s the interpretation of them or the use of invented “facts” that comprise the entirety of the enterprise.

Incredible volumes of hot air drift this way and that, some shot out with chest-thumping vigour, others inserted into the collective atmosphere with a snide knife-like semi-intellectualism. Chomsky’s riposte to Andrew Marr of the BBC comes glaringly into view, that those you see and hear so much on your television are there because their views and world view fit. Even those very nice-looking, clearly very intelligent historians… hand-picked because they are a ‘safe pair of hands’ or ‘frontal lobes’ to sit before the camera and add to the general delusion being displayed on both Russia and Ukraine.

It’s a case of ‘All The News That Fits’ of course and in corporate media with well-heeled, conservative owners or with state media with other owners keen to see the “right” narratives broadcast or printed, it becomes very clear what fits… and what doesn’t.

In our modern times talking heads rule. The previous era of highly visible celebrity has bequeathed its influence to these nodding dogs who sit in our TV windscreens. Their influence comes through that visibility that grants them status in a world blinded by the visual. Blinded to almost all else. What appears on television MUST be true, mustn’t it?

Headline surfers abound. A quick fix of “news” tonight provides all the opinions necessary for tomorrow. To read too much text is tiring in this age and it is thought boring, tedious or pointless. How much better to stare goggle-eyed at the box of opinions in your living room or laptop screen and imbibe what’s ‘really going on’ with ease. In a world of stress why would you need an additional portion by looking deeper?

And so it goes. Endless chattering on the woeful this, the terrible that and always the poor Ukraine and the awful Russians. Round and round in an interminable circle of group-thought and belief-bubble agreement that the delusional construct they have created is the only reality. And in one sense they are right, it is the only reality they will ever see. No truth can penetrate such a closed circle.

And they can chatter about it all day and night long. While Russia demonstrates a new hard reality quite outside of their ken and understanding. And, when enough of the above occurs… the chattering will suddenly stop. To be immediately followed of course by renewed chattering about... ‘the NEXT big thing’.

UKRAINE: HARD FACTS ON THE GROUND HAVE TRUMPED MEDIA/POLITICAL SPIN

Since Russia set herself free of the constraints put upon her by the western powers she became free to assert her rights protecting her national interests within her local sphere of influence.

The virtual stranglehold that western power has had over the world in general has been vastly loosened in recent years. China was first to effect this to any major extent. Now Russia has followed suit.

Other nations are increasingly obdurate against western influence due to waning western power to harm them. Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Syria for example. Others still, who until recently could be considered strong or relatively secure western/U.S. allies or at least friendly/neutral toward these are now wary of commitment or are increasingly negative. Saudi Arabia, Turkey and India are a few examples.

The western powers sought to exercise their accustomed ability to shape global events in response to Russia’s seemingly reckless invasion of Ukraine on February 24th. In light of the until then apparently still powerful ability of the West to respond it did indeed appear reckless. The expectation was (and the threat had already been made) that the western powers would wreak havoc in the Russian economy through the mother of all sanctions policies. However, Russia had clearly prepared the ground carefully as we now see.

The situation we now find ourselves in is quite extraordinary. In just a few short months what was supposed to be a devastating series of attacks that was meant to render Russia a bankrupt supplicant crawling to the West for mercy has resulted in an outcome that has turned the tables completely on the West. It is the western world that reels in agony with successive boomerang blows from a supremely counteractive sanctions policy on Russia.

Meanwhile, as the West rather than Russia succumbs to economic and financial turmoil Russia’s campaign in Ukraine is very close to achieving most of its goals. Concurrently the Russian economy is beginning to prosper, its currency has hardened in extraordinary fashion, it has a new, robust payments mechanism replacing SWIFT, prices are stabilizing and reducing, Russian entrepreneurs are filling the corporate slots abandoned by western enterprises and new trading partners are being found at what must be an alarming rate for western onlookers.

While all this was going on we had what appeared to be the unstoppable rise of Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy, backed by the assistance of the entire panoply of western power alongside that of every western mainstream media outlet and a vast array of ad hoc social support organisations created from outrage, sympathy and anger with over fifty public relations companies adding to and coordinating the charge, was on a roll.

Money and weaponry flowed in what appeared to be an endless waterfall into Ukraine. There appeared to be no limit to the help that was to be extended. The sky was the limit. Politicians agreed that Ukraine should receive all it needed with few voices urging any caution or accountability in this respect. The many spin machines in operation were working overtime. That of the Ukrainian regime itself was no exception. Whatever stories were required were produced, one following the other to keep the weapon and cash jamboree running at top speed.
Purported atrocities by Russia came one after another, or better said, created for western public consumption. News from the front was adjusted, turned through 180 degrees to produce headlines that gave the right impression and spun the required tale. The Ukrainian fighters were lionized, portrayed as shining heroes bravely combating evil (meanwhile ignoring their torturing of Russian POWs and their use of schools, hospitals and Ukrainian homes as their bases).

The spin all turned in one direction only, that which was positive for Ukraine, negative for Russia and that which generated a constant flow of weaponry and money into Ukraine. This was all grist to the western military complex mill also. Weapons stocks being rapidly depleted in the USA and across NATO allies would have to be replaced, new and very profitable contracts signed and the downward graph of profits seen after U.S. military withdrawals in the Middle east reversed.

This circle of advantageous events for both Ukraine and those who profited from the assistance given appeared likely to run successfully until what was talked about as Ukraine’s victory. That is until the last week or so when the triumphant jamboree bubble began to rapidly deflate. Ukraine, as opposed to triumphantly beating Russia with every passing day in chest-thumping splendour was suddenly and very shockingly perceived in reality to be losing heavily and at a level that could no longer be denied.

In recent days we have had an article by the New York Times, undoubtedly informed by some in elite political and military circles that indicates the Ukrainian spin machine was even turned upon them. The article indicates that the top brass of the West were also manipulated along with western population as a whole. It seems, according to the article, that Ukraine had supplied the West’s elites with what was deemed useful rather than that which was truthful. The arch manipulators had been skillfully manipulated.

Now that what appears to have been a campaign of wholesale deception on at least two levels, to the western elites and thence to the western populace, the backlash cannot help now but be underway. I predict a souring of the relationship with Zelenskyy and with the Ukrainian regime project in general. This in addition to a softening of attitudes toward Russia to obviate further devastating consequences across western economies.

This all in a matter of two short months. We truly live in extraordinary times.

And arguably the primary moral of this tale?
