Lies are the anti-matter of honesty. They can be believed with a good conscience. Every religion survives to this day because of them. Each army fights to uphold them. Politicians know nothing else. And the general public hardly appears to care.
George Orwell was obsessed by them and wrote books on the subject. Psychologists try to define them in terms of group-thought. Most mainstream media thrives because of them. Fiction and film can’t exist without them.
And... when it comes right down to it, what can you know the full truth about? Name one thing then really consider whether you know the totally objective and in-depth truth about that thing.
We deal in fragments of things we consider real enough. Real enough for our purposes, to get by on, to get along with, and use in one way or another. Fantasy can be fun. Illusions can offset illness. Delusions can at times delight the mind.
And of course we have all experienced it at one time or another... ignorance is bliss.
Knowing too much can be a pain in the ass. How many really heavy people who know a great deal do you truly enjoy being with for more than a few hours every six months or so? And how many fun-loving airheads do you find to be good company on a Saturday night? Of course there are the many in between who don’t strain your brain cells too much, just enough to keep life interesting, and no more.
Let the scientists strain their brains figuring out the nuts and bolts of existence. Let the great philosophers each conjure their fancy theories out of thin air. Let students everywhere learn all that stuff that they’ll never use or think of ever again.
We live anti-truth, we bathe in it day and night, it assaults our eyes via our TV, phone and laptop screens and we call it ‘normality’. Many of us headline surf through life taking our views from the easiest, most convenient source. Why get het up trying to know the details? We’re too busy to get involved, aren’t we?
The comfort zone of many exists within a short spectrum of partial truths and the vast majority are happy there content they are going through no trauma currently, no major relationship, work or psychological problems. Why fix what isn’t broken? Let sleeping dogs lie.
So, when your nation tells you that the Russians are interfering in almost every area you know little to nothing about you tend to believe them. What do YOU know? Aren’t these people the ones you ALWAYS get your information from? So, they should know about all this, shouldn’t they?
In the normal course of things you might expect to find out it wasn’t quite as a bad as it first seemed, or that you would be told what the actual evidence was that these scary warnings were based upon. But when one story follows another without any real detail your normal acceptance mechanisms kick in as you have no resistance to this flow of data, you have no skepticism as you were never really interested in questioning at all. Just give me the latest, that’s all I have time or interest to take in.
The powers-that-be of the political and media worlds above repeat the “data” again and again until it becomes a hypnotic command, a mesmeric mantra that sinks deep and on the surface is only left a nameless fear and though that something MUST BE DONE... about the Russians.
Or whoever your elites want you to hate or fear today.
It’s all part of the soup of propaganda all western populations swim in today.
It’s not about fake news alone nor the frequency of CIA-engendered, elite-channeled false flags. It’s not just this or that cleverly composed meme or narrative.
It’s about the continuum of sheep-like docility arriving daily via our wrap-around bread and circuses milieu of mind-deadening anti-truth indelibly and constantly shaping our world.
