This war on reality began decades ago, however the political sides switch depending on who is in power and who has been defeated. The narratives chosen on all sides reflect the needs of the parties involved, never the need of the public to know. As in every war, truth is the first casualty.
Currently the Democratic Party is fighting a war of words to establish the lie that the Russian state was instrumental in Donald Trump becoming 45th president of the United States.
The fact that a political novice and generally despised con-artist and showman crook beat the liberal totem Hillary Clinton cannot be allowed to stand as an unvarnished fact.
This reality required extreme modification by the Democrats. They initiated a campaign to establish that Hillary Clinton was not in fact beaten fair and square in the political game in which she is a seasoned veteran. That campaign is ongoing. Its name is Russiagate.
The current war has many precedents in the regular PR campaigns which adorn, embellish, obscure and manipulate the realities of each American war. The general public, since the end of the Vietnam war at least, cannot under any circumstances be allowed to perceive the realities of any war directly via normal journalistic channels. This was an ongoing disaster for U.S. elites during the Vietnam war. readers and viewers were getting a reasonably accurate view of the war with very unpleasant pressures generated on those who wished to conduct it unseen, whatever the consequences in terms of lives lost.
The subsequent wars against Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria were handled very differently and in the interim between Vietnam and Afghanistan mainstream media was delivered wholesale into the hands of corporations with interests firmly aligned with the U.S. state.
In Afghanistan and Iraq journalists were embedded with the U.S. military and given daily briefings on the progress of these wars. No longer would individual journalists be allowed to form their own opinions, or at least not convey them directly to the general public. Journalists became reporters who became commentators and virtual stenographers to their military “advisers”.
The feeding of commentators by phone and briefings became a cheap way to supply their corporate-owned TV stations and newspapers with enough content to ensure viewers and readers believed they had the right context with which to view “reality”.
The war on reality became an all-pervasive reality of its own. The USA, with six corporations owning almost 100% of major communication channels has brought into being a veritable propaganda soup there. The USA is awash with consistent narratives that constantly reinforce a strictly controlled limit to the spectrum of what its state & media insist is real.
It is not only in the context of America’s regime change wars of choice that the PR campaigns of elite forces within the USA engage the public in a web of misinformation. The campaigns stretch much further than this.
As stated at the start of this text, there is now a campaign of some four years in duration to mold U.S. opinion to the view that the liberal totem Hillary Clinton was beaten by the Russian state, not by an orange-faced con-artist and uncouth lout without political credentials. This ties in with the surprising fact that The Democrats have taken over from The Republicans as the party of war.
Currently Joe Biden is reflecting the same agenda toward Russia as previously embraced by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. An extremely similar agenda to that of George W. Bush and long before him, Ronald Reagan, that of evil minds seeking to destroy America, evil empires plotting incessantly for America’s demise.
Clinton needed a fig leaf, as did the Democratic National Committee.
Under no circumstances could the reality of Clinton’s defeat in 2016 be allowed to stand naked to inspection. A convincing cover story as fig-leaf was desperately needed to stave off the reality of her defeat at the filthy hands of Trump.
The fig-leaf, though ragged at the edges and bearing many holes through which the ugly reality might be perceived is still more or less in place and every effort is being made by the liberal elite of America to use every bit of metaphorical adhesive tape to keep it there.
The devotion to Rusiagate is arguably the very last seal locking in place a permanent barrier on the general population of the United States in regard to them perceiving a reality right in front of them. That they should look directly became anathema to the liberal elite of the USA. All was devoted to them winning the political war and then the geopolitical wars they intend upon gaining power. The general population, instead of being the primary factor whose well being was the point of political life, became a potential threat to the ability of a terminally arrogant political elite to maintain control over them in order to wage war as they saw fit.
These are the concurrent wars against reality that are ongoing and will continue re-energized and emboldened if the Democrats succeed in their current war against Donald J. Trump using Russia as their primary weapon.
These are the wars of blinkered populations across the West, the imperatives assumed by the most powerful, the elite prerogative decided upon 'for the good of all’, the campaign of beneficent propaganda via a compliant mass media, the patrician demand to retain power against the rising eastern marauders, the convenient, believable lies that justify injustice, the notion of exceptional judgement and the application of punishment.
These are the ignoble characteristics of an empire in decline. An empire under economic siege by nations unburdened by notions of exceptionality. These are the symptoms of a western elite who have become desperate and like a terminally injured animal strike out against the wholly imaginary enemies they see all around them.
And seek to endlessly wage their war on reality to defeat their own self-created delusions.
