THE SUFFOCATING EMBRACE OF AMERICA’S EMPIRE

The USA has assumed the rule of Global Imperator where all subjects must bow when commanded no matter how far from her shores they may reside.

If you are in Ukraine you are subjects. Venezuelans too. Tibetans, watch your step. Brazilians, get ready to dance to the USA’s tune.

The USA demands the allegiance of all whether they be on land, air, sea or space. With no exceptions.

Its elites demand to rule the roost and yes, they feel they have every right to count their eggs before they’re hatched. They think nothing can or should stand in their way. No nation can consider itself safe from U.S. attention and they are quite right in this respect as they know they are minutely observed from space right down to the last centimeter and listened to right down to the last syllable.

With military bases circling the planet with its personnel ready at a moment’s notice to kill whoever they are commanded to and destroy any city no one should be in any doubt about how far America’s 'killer cops’ extend out from its borders. The command structure down from its elites is ready within a nanosecond to be activated 24/7 365 days per year. The CIA with its tens of thousands of well-heeled staffers has every cyber program operating on the same basis along with their colleagues in the NSA.

The world is their domain and they are sure they can do with it as they please.

You might think an ally of the USA like Germany would be granted a little freedom from surveillance but you will surely recall how Angela Merkel discovered that she too was being monitored by the NSA. You may recall also how it was discovered the USA was listening in to the phone calls of every important nation at the UN in the days before the vote on the attack upon and invasion of Iraq.

The curiosity of the USA extends well beyond being idle. Information is power and when you wish to have power over everyone you need lots of it. Big Data is key to being able to manipulate and control us all. The USA wants to monitor every last one of us if it possibly can. Those ‘birds’ up in space are mind magpies with insatiable appetites. Along with the myriad bytes of information you provide online there are many others forming the bigger picture from your credit cards and any other connection to western government agencies. How does it feel to have so much more than Andy Warhol’s prophesy of having only fifteen minutes?

No one else is supposed to be operating in similar style on the USA’s watch. Anyone else doing so will have fingers pointed at them in accusation. Only the USA has the purity of intent required to be allowed the privilege of metaphorically stripping you naked and parading you up and down to its tune. The USA wants to be the ultimate global pimp, universal owner and tyrant, the ultimate authority that says what you can and cannot do. In recompense its prison planet inmates will be allowed a few bread and circus style entertainments to keep them occupied.

Are you a Chinese naval patrol sailing in the South China Sea? Have you asked permission from the USA to be there?

Are you a Russian military commander supervising military exercises in the Republic of Karelia? Do be sure to check in with Washington to see if it has given the go ahead.

Perhaps you are a governmental official in Venezuela and have a program being trialed to provide reduced cost foods to some of the poorest in areas far from Caracas. Perhaps check in with the CIA to see if you have all the necessary authorities?

Our planet is getting smaller by the day. The spy craft launches go on apace. What do you think the primary job of the Space Corps will be? They would be much more accurately termed the Spy Corps.

Just how much freedom and democracy do you think can exist on a prison planet?

The goal is to know every last detail of everything and everyone out there. The paranoid push for total knowing is driven by a power-junkie’s need for ultimate control of his fix. The rabid desire to reach that ultimate goal cannot possibly be assuaged except by some exterior force pushing it back into something approaching sanity.

With trends as they are this cannot be any other than the unstoppable rise of China. A multipolar balance of power will tame the voyeurs who want to peek into every crevice of our lives due to the insanely driven desire to feel “safe” after 9/11. The USA won’t have its prison planet. It will have to find some way to accommodate its terror of sharing power and sovereignty with others.

Thankfully there will be no prison planet. ‘Socialism with Chinese characteristics’ will bring China to economic success and diplomatic influence across Europe neutralizing U.S. influence there and in time everywhere its malign influence is felt. We will, from this point on and just in time, mercifully be spared the suffocating embrace of America's empire.
