After Trump was defeated but well before Biden was due to take office I tried to read the runes of what a Biden presidency would look like.
I predicted that he and his people would seek to unite all U.S. allies like never before, at least never since the height of the Cold War and that he would attempt to create a totally united front, spearheaded primarily against Russia and China.
I expected that they would begin to use the motif of ‘The Free World’ once again with all those not aligned with the USA and its allies being described as being opposed to this “free world”. So far the rehash of that well known motif in these terms has not occurred, though the narrative and agenda it was designed to convey certainly has.
I predicted back then that there would be what I call an ‘Ice Cold War’, differentiated from the ‘Cold War’ by a lack of real dialogue or diplomacy and characterized purely by assertions of wrongdoing and demands for change with no compromise position even offered. Demands requiring complete submission to what would be framed as the perennially and unquestionably correct values of the West.
Currently Russia is being treated to a combined assault from innumerable directions within the western orbit, each assault designed to create as many pressures, fissures and fractures within Russian society as possible while firming up the dedication to the task of all the various attack dogs involved.
China is also experiencing something of the same on various fronts, however it is Russia that is the primary target at the moment with more focus on it and resources used against it than at any past moment. The number and power of the attacks have been planned carefully for maxi,um effect and its absolutely not an accident that they are occurring at this time. The timing of this unified campaign has without the shadow of a doubt been the subject of myriad debates and innumerable meetings in Washington and at CIA, Langley.
All the most powerful attacks at the disposal of western military, political and media powers are being applied to meet at a nexus point of destructive potential with the aim of creating social and political upheaval in Russia.
This combined allied attack above is designed to motivate all concerned to heap ever more pressure on Russia to unnerve its leadership, inject confusion and disarray into its population and to make all react, and overreact if possible. Then, when off balance to use such reactions or overreactions as fuel for further attacks.
The ultimate goal is a level of chaos and instability that makes possible the undermining of the Russia state at the topmost level of governance. This will then open the nation to a revolutionary overthrow from below, or at the very least destroy many vital elements within its structure and create a useful instability.
At such a point the potential for other tactical advances would greatly increase. The Ukrainian army, closely guided by NATO and US special forces could then make an attack on the pro-Russian defense forces in the Donbass. The timing of this would be timed to coincide with the requisite level of internal chaos within the topmost levels of the Russian command structure. Once they were fully engaged in crisis management with the desired degree of chaos ongoing and internal destabilization at as many levels as possible within Russia they would be vulnerable to the next stages of the attack.
The intent of Biden and his team from the start was clearly to create an ultra-powerful spearhead of the USA and its allies with which to cut through Russian defenses and deliver a devastating culture bomb within it.
Earlier, pre-pandemic regime change timetables were superseded whereby Russia then China were more gradually brought to ever-greater weakness wherever possible and complete breakdown of governance if possible. This was being progressed before the pandemic intervened but at a much slower pace. Now the urgency is far, far greater. The West has been immensely weakened by the pandemic whereas China has largely overcome it and is poised to soar economically. With greater economic power comes an increase in influence along with it. The elites of the West can on no account allow this to occur... or at least they will do everything in their power to stop it.
This is why we have such an obvious war going on at the moment. Not that it started in recent days, weeks or months... this war has been underway since at least 2007 in my estimation.
It’s the Ice Cold War, a fight to the death by the West to retain its global dominance.
This is a war where diplomacy will play no significant part and is in fact seen as having an unwelcome slowing effect, holding back the moment the devastation planned for Russia and China can take place.
We are now in a distinctly no holds barred phase, the gloves are off and all options on the table. No one should harbor any hope or optimism that diplomacy will soften any stance and avert the forces now at play. This is an existential battle for the West’s retention of power with the old guard willing to use every possible weapon at its disposal without any consideration regarding moral or ethical values or the risk to life and limb.
It’s the Ice Cold War... and it’s getting ever colder.
