In Afghanistan, we can see some underlying realities reasserting themselves. Western liberal elites, considering themselves altogether superior, and burdened with the self-assumed responsibility to convert the world to their sensibilities, are learning a painful lesson.
Similarly, in Russia and China, the aggressive intent to convert others to western liberal notions of what is right and proper is being challenged.
Even within the European Union the demands of the most liberal national elites dictated by Brussels and Bonn are being rejected by nations such as Hungary and Poland who are asserting their right to have their own voices heard in their own lands. The right to have the tenets and aspirations of your own countrymen and women is being asserted and a rejection of values promulgated and enforced by alien elites are being rejected. Britain exiting the much-loathed and highly overbearing elites of Brussels and Bonn also provides an example of the exercise of national will.
The liberal elites of the West, in their dictatorial manner are clearly determined to have their own way globally and are willing to wage de facto war against those who resist.
However, as we can see most dramatically in Afghanistan and to a significant degree elsewhere, the push back against this exceptionalist dictatorship is growing.
The western liberal powers had totally unrealistic views on how they would be greeted when they attacked Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya. In the case of Iraq there was talk of their troops being greeted by cheering crowds gracing their helmets with pretty flowers. What actually followed was a protracted war against them which eventually led to the rise of permanent forces across the Middle East in opposition to them.
Western liberal elites are so imbued with their own self-awarded sense of being right and having the right and indeed duty to interfere in some misguided and wholly delusional notion that they will bring other nations to heel and then bring them using as much aggression as possible to obey their strictures on how to behave. These elites have a notion of their own perfection which stems almost solely from their own positions of long-held privilege and little else. In general, they have little truly in-depth knowledge of the cultures within the nations they chose to intervene in. Subsequently, over time, either long or short, they only create resistance and that resistance grows to outright revolt. The revolt continually seeks to re-establish sovereign independence, the defence of cultural norms, traditional beliefs and previously well-established policies of governance.
Within the EU the population of most nations, especially those toward the east, long to have their own independent voices back in support of their own national interests and cultures. Interference from Brussels and Bonn is being increasingly seen as unwelcome and as a homogenising force to be resisted.
China and Russia have rejected much of the ‘western liberal values’ meme generated by those who have made a nasty habit of using such issues as regime change weaponry. Human rights have been weaponized. Sexuality has been weaponized. Trade sanctions, already used as a weapon in the past, has been ramped up and expanded using financial terrorism as seen in reference to both Venezuela and Cuba in recent years.
All these efforts by the western liberal elite are doomed to eventual failure.
The issues involved and the threats contained in these western wars seeking global domination are those closest to the hearts of national populations. Those western powers will use enticements to the greedy and the selfishly ambitious, as well as using hidden inducements to the criminal fraternity in each target land. However, inevitably in nations with sufficient national pride there comes a time when a tide of resistance arrives to reject them. In those nations where this does not occur they remain mere fiefdoms for the West, willing to do their bidding and to support the criminality and terrorism they inflict upon others.
Those nations who stand up to the West asserting their national sovereignty and their right to run their countries free of outside influence can once again stand proud as an independent people. Those who submit can never truly feel free ever again.
China and Russia are quite clearly determined to remain free nations with sovereign independence who steadfastly protect their right to look after their own affairs solely in the interest of their own populations. In this day and age when western liberal elites are acting as global dictators, determined to force all others to do their will, this is the vital stance all nations must now take if they truly respect themselves and their national integrity.
