THE CONVOLUTED MACHINATIONS OF THE WEST IN THE FACE OF TOTAL DEFEAT IN UKRAINE

The harsh reality is that the elites of the western world are being comprehensively defeated by Russia on all counts. This over a Ukraine that hardly anyone gave a damn about until recently, that is of no true strategic value to the West except as a means to plague Russia, and that rather than serve this purpose is now acting as a net loss to the entire collective West.

The economic war that the western powers acted to unleash on Russia has not only been effectively countered by Russia it has blown back in western faces to such a degree that the very foundations of western societies are set to be severely shaken.

The collective west in effect has committed collective economic suicide over a nation that was of peripheral, if any value to it.

That this deserves a major dose of humiliation for the elites who devised this debacle must surely be clear. But of course we know from past experience that every tactic devised since the time of Machiavelli and before will be used to minimise any such humiliation. Face-saving narratives will be devised, agreed and sent out in multiple memo form to all and sundry within the matrix of western political and media elites.

One such narrative has been expressed in recent days by the German political hierarchy via the Der Spiegel newspaper. This narrative wishes us to believe that the German government’s reason for not providing certain items of weaponry to Ukraine is that it might have too much success with it.This fantastical narrative envisions Ukraine defeating the Russian forces in the Donbass and marching into Russia using the provided Germans weapons.

Other such spurious narratives will without doubt be devised to explain away the imminent defeat of Ukraine and disassociate western political elites from that defeat. Naturally Russia will be verbally attacked with even greater venom and even less justification than before. This is likely to be the verbal dust storm designed to blind western populations to the fact that their own leaders have brought them to this abject failure.

Macron, as well as Scholz of Germany has been busy on this front. He apparently fears a Russian humiliation if things go on as they are… whereas Russia is in do danger whatsoever of suffering any humiliation at all. As Alex Christophorou and Alexander Mercouris of The Duran have said, this is pure projection. It is the western leadership, including Macron that are the prime candidates for humiliation in this situation.

Macron and Merkel threw away the influence they had regarding the Minsk Agreements where Kiev promised to walk the path of peace and reconciliation. Macron and Merkel failed utterly to put the necessary pressure on Ukraine to live up to and honour its commitments signed up to in Minsk and ratified at the United Nations. Not once did they attempt to apply the pressure desperately needed in this respect. Ukraine was allowed to continue on its path to war leaving Russia with no choice but to intervene.

Now a reckoning for the West looms. But they will squirm like hotplate roasted worms to avoid that reckoning.
