Ukraine must surely qualify not only as the world’s most corrupt nation but also its most dangerous.

Many would point to other countries who are more likely to start trouble for the human community on this planet, those such as Iran, but I am here to argue otherwise.

Modern Iran however, has some salient points in common with Ukraine in the matter of their birth. The most modern versions of both nations were born in violence, insurrection and revolution.

Violence, fear and grotesque levels of threat permeate the upper echelons of the Ukrainian power-structure since its fracturing in 2014. With the ultra-violent insurrection which took place over the winter months of 2013-14 and the destruction of its democratic norms a savage chaos permeated all areas of Ukrainian society where the most ambitious laid their plans for taking power.

Those with wealth in Ukraine saw their chance to establish their own personal security while fearing the ability of their peers to grab it first and disadvantage them. Each one of them began financing the most violent cadres that has successfully brought down the democratically elected president and government through acts of mass violence in 2014. Thus arose the so-called ‘volunteer battalions’ the most infamous of which is ‘AZOV’. Without the vast financing available to the super-rich oligarchs of Ukraine they could never have risen to their present status.

AZOV and those like them wield immense power through their unbridled willingness to use the most extreme forms of violence against anyone they consider stands in their way. This is irrespective of whether at any particular time they are conceived of as friend or foe. If the combined leadership of the European Union or members of the administration of the United States think of them as ‘on their side’, they could not be more wrong.

AZOV and those like them have no side other than that of those who believe like them that all power should reside within Ukraine and that any individual or entity seeks to or appears to minimise the power of Ukrainian nationalism then that individual entity deserves no better than death, and not necessarily a speedy one.

This is the genie that was unleashed on the world after the Maidan insurrection, one clothed in black, bearing a gun, wearing emblems of the SS and usually sporting a swastika tattoo. And as with the mythical genies of the past this one will do everything possible to resist being put back in the bottle. Just as al Qaeda or ISIS members go willingly to their deaths for their ‘cause’ so the rabid fanatics of AZOV and their ilk are minded within a fierce devotion to their cause to do likewise.

The above statement is true however, only in battle. As was seen at the denouement of the confrontation with AZOV & Co in Mariupol where such forces existed in the “catacombs” of the Azovstal Steel Works, in other situations where they are not given the opportunity to fight, they will, eventually, surrender. Only of course to be eventually targeted by others of their kind, or just possibly by the regular Ukrainian army. Like the fanatics of the Japanese army during the second world war, surrender brings dishonour.

The Nazi “ideals” are at times eschewed in favour of the Nordic mythologies surrounding the Vikings. This is another violent underpinning for such people and subsequently their reading matter and favoured tattoos other than ‘Mein Kampf’ and swastikas have been Nordic myths and symbolic runes. These are the men who travelled to eastern Ukraine when the regular troops of the Ukrainian army proved squeamish when ordered to kill their fellow Ukrainians. The AZOV men and their militia friends were only too willing to oblige.

It is no accident or result of flawed GPS coordinates that residential tower blocks, hospitals, polyclinics, schools and other multi-storied buildings were hit by incessant mortar shells during the years 2014 and 2015. For the AZOV mentality- imbued recruits fresh from the Maidan doing their utmost to kill or injure lightly-armed young policemen, those they were targeting were ALL Russians. You must understand the depth of the simplistic thinking involved. These were men of western Ukraine, brought up to deliver the well known Sieg Heil salute, brought up with the belief that the Nazis had offered freedom from the yoke of Stalin’s Soviet Union. They had swallowed this entire bookended reality where nuance was completely driven out by the absolute of ultra-nationalism.

For them therefore the people of the Donbass, the region of eastern Ukraine that had risen up immediately after their own rising and who spoke Russia, who had inter-married for generations with Russians just across their border and who therefore had been “infested” with the alien, Russian gene, WERE Russians. Every last one of them. Every unborn baby, every child, every teenager, father, mother or grandfather. All, for them, had no right to be in THEIR Ukraine, they were an infestation deserving only to die. They were RUSSIANS.

Didn’t they chant together in their tens of thousands in Lviv while brandishing their torches “Russians on Knives!”? Weren’t these ‘Moskals’ as they called them the lowest sucking subhumans possible, traitors and abominations? Naturally it is very difficult for the average westerner to conceive of such a savage and unmitigated hate that these black-clad, swastika-bearing, demons of ultra-nationalism bore always and unswervingly in their hearts. Do you perhaps understand a little better now why the pro-Russian, Russian-speaking majority in eastern Ukraine rose as they did to save themselves after the events on Kiev’s Maidan?

For you such people as those imbued with such sadistic longings to kill, not the infidel, as is the case with ISIS fanatics, but in this case ‘Russians’. Any Russians… Ukrainian Russians, though that term would be anathema to these people such is the absolute hatred with which they perceive them. That an estimated 15,000 died in the years between 2014 and now should no longer surprise you considering that these militants were empowered through providing them with every weapon available.

As I have said above, the Ukrainian army at the time of the largely peaceful uprising by the Russian-speaking majority in 2014 was weak, underfunded and virtually untrained for decades. They lacked the skills or the will to kill effectively. The first president of the new regime therefore stiffened that army with the highly motivated young men who had honed their skills using every form of weapon available to them on the Maidan. And they proved highly effective at killing civilians. When the Donbass began forming a self-defence force things changed radically.

The self-defence forces of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics assisted by help from Russian advisers and volunteers from across the border eventually roundly defeated the Ukrainian forces and from 2015 onward maintained some semblance of peace for the residents there, intermittently broken by mortar, missile and sniper fire by the Ukrainian forces including the militants surrounding them. This relative stalemate requiring constant vigilance was maintained from then until now. Even now however those same Ukrainian forces fire multiple shells and mines into the civilian heart of Donetsk City. The mentality of hate has remained unchanged all these eight years long.

The Minsk Agreements were meant to bring peace and reconciliation but in fact were only a ruse by successive Ukrainian regimes to buy time with which to re-arm, massively enlarge and professionally train their troops. And to build the most in-depth series of defensive lines including the most extensive trench systems seen since world war one. Also to re-equip and be provided with the most high-tech weapons available from NATO, to drill with NATO and to be trained in all ways including tactics by NATO with Ukraine becoming a de facto NATO state.

Watch any interview with AZOV troops you can find and if they are asked why they chose AZOV rather than the regular Ukrainian army you will hear a variety of answers. One of those is that they have a chance to be far more radical, another is that they cannot be ordered to obey people they do not respect or trust. Only the chosen few are worthy. Those within the exclusive Nazi-riddled mentality, with the Viking spirit and desire to kill all Russians, Moskals included, and above all the holy dedication to Ukraine and only Ukraine, a Ukraine above all others.

These are the men (and women) who believe it is their mission and duty to expunge all that does not conform to their precepts of the truly Ukrainian, a white race of remorseless warriors dedicated to wiping out all else and all that might obstruct their rise to what they consider to be their destiny, to save and rule with the iron fist of Ukrainian ultra-nationalism. These men in composite are the vengeful and ultra-violent beast that was born on Maidan and who make Ukraine the most dangerous nation on the planet.

A DARK CURTAIN FALLS ACROSS THE WESTERN WORLD

A speculative attempt to describe the near future of Europe, Britain and USA that is now fast emerging.

And so it was that the more the Russian military succeeded in its campaign across Ukraine the greater was the pressure to extend the war mode that had informed both political and media elites to the general public of all nations within the collective West.

This process had already been well advanced during the years after 9/11 and came to the fore especially during the Trump years. These were the years of ‘cancel culture’ and of naming those who did not take the official western line on Russia as ‘Putin’s Puppets’. Fear was stoked from one end of the USA to the other claiming that a powerful but hidden Russian influence posed an enormous danger to the normal running of the USA, including that of its electoral systems.

While a new McCarthyism was awash across the USA something very similar was being attempted in the USA’s closest ally, Britain. It seemed that as in America with Trump’s face selling magazines and all the profits attendant on that phenomenon, so in the United Kingdom the face that sold magazines through their covers and newspapers through their headlines, was that of Vladimir Putin. Anyone who dared talk of these money-making and fear-spreading tactics in anything but glowing appreciation but instead cast doubts upon their propriety found themselves a social pariah.

In those families where such “black sheep” refused to remain silent but argued for a fairer hearing of the Russian case or who cast doubt on what became known as ‘Russiagate’ experienced a near permanent split in their relationships. Those who depended upon their positions at work quickly became aware of the need to remain silent on such topics. Self-censorship became the norm for most of the people who retained an open mind on these matters.

What had occurred was that the two principal and most powerful elites across the western world, the political and media elites had united in a joined-at-the-hip allegiance to one single and unchangeable narrative on both Putin and Russian influence. This was extended before too long to include China also but with Russia’s intervention regarding Ukraine on the 24th of February this year the preponderance of the West’s focus returned with a vengeance to Putin and Russia.

The phenomenon above has a name. It is called ‘War Mode’. Though a war has not been declared against Russia a war is indeed being waged against it. In a war, or within the confines of ‘War Mode’ nothing positive is allowed to be said about the enemy. Such behaviour is regarded as traitorous. In wartime it is subject to extreme penalties such as incarceration in specially created camps. The difference between a declared was and ‘war mode’ in this respect is perilously little and this is why, as Russia took ever more land from Ukraine the difference in mentality and action disappeared completely.

It was when the Russian military broke through the main defences of the Ukrainian military opposite Donetsk City and in both the Kherson region and that of Izyum that we saw the effect of the ‘war mode’ mentality deepen across the West. With the fall of Odessa only a week later in mid-September it appeared the final straw had been laid upon the veritable camel’s back. First the British government, led by Elizabeth Truss and then the Biden administration began to pass the draconian laws that they insisted were necessary.

The security of the nation was at stake was the common sentence heard on both sides of the Atlantic and therefore the measures being taken though much regretted had proven unavoidable in the circumstances. The European powers were reluctant to follow suit but after consultations behind closed doors they complied less than a week later with admonitions that these measures would be purely temporary.

Temporary however, they were not. And the effects were immediate.

Unknown to any but a few a comprehensive database had been created of all so-called “subversive voices spreading misinformation” Talk of misinformation, disinformation and fake news had been a common enough topic across the political and media elites for some time, but now the determination to close down all sources of unacceptable opinion became all-pervasive. One by one and sometimes in groups of up to a dozen at a time website began to disappear from the internet. ‘The Duran’ channel was one of the first, and though there was massive speculation and outrage at first regarding the unknown whereabouts of the primary figures associated with the site at first, as those who spoke out were also apprehended soon silence began to be all that prevailed.

The atmosphere of self-censorship that had been seen increasing from 2016 onward now took on similar characteristics as the ‘normalisation’ process which had post-dated the Prague Spring in Czechoslovakia. Those who chose to voice their protest at what was going on or who continued to spread “unorthodox views” criticising western state “truths” concerning the now mortal enemy, Russia were simply ‘disappeared’. The remaining population continued life much as before even expressing great approval that the ‘troublemakers’, ‘traitors’ and ‘Russian Agents’ had been suitably punished for their malignant delusions regarding the evils of the Russian monsters who had made such a heinous and unprovoked attack upon the innocent population of Ukraine.

Several hard-hitting publicity campaigns had reinforced this majority prejudice against the so-called ‘Russian Supporters’ to heights unseen since the second world war ended though only historians were able to comment on this, the populations of the West being in the majority too young to make sense of these remarks. Several historians too were subsequently no longer to be found, or at least to be heard from again in the public sphere.

A special police force was required, complete with an army of analysts in their back office. The database of ‘subversive personalities’ was being added to significantly on a daily basis as the ‘Russian Spy Hotline’ was deluged with calls by “friends”, parents and neighbours reporting on those they suspected of holding ‘order contravening’ or ‘security risk’ views. The original camps set up in remote locations were doubled in size, then tripled, quadrupled and so on. Entire cities of the non-conformists were constructed where ‘political reorientation’ and ‘in-depth deprogramming’ took place.

Various suggestions were made for a more secure environment going forward. One of the most popular was for microscopic chips to be implanted in the soft brain tissue of every fetus so that adequate monitoring and potential preemptive punishment for forbidden thoughts could be effected. This was considered far too extreme when it was first broached in the British parliament in late 2024… but by 2026 it had become a common, if hidden practice.

Much has become hidden now as I write this on 2030. We live in a time where great care must be taken in all things. Each adult that wishes to maintain a life without attracting trouble, one where an income can be earned and a family raised must exercise extreme control over things said, associations maintained and even places visited (certain locations have been named as ‘potential insurgent hotspots’). We watch each other like hawks, unable to know whether those around us are beneficiaries of the ‘State Medal for Heroism’, those who have named beyond 1,000 criminals and traitors who have wished the downfall of the state. You may think that is a high number to reach. Not at all. The current figure for the United Kingdom is currently 17,586 and rises by up to a dozen each day.

No one talks freely about the disappeared anymore. Whispered rumours in safe places among friends do take place. We wonder constantly where John Pilger, George Galloway, Max Blumenthal, Aaron Maté, Alex Christoforou and Alexander Mercouris and many others may be, and even if they are still alive. But even this is becoming more and more dangerous as by satellite and roving surveillance units held by the ‘SMh’ (State Medal for Heroism) holders are becoming ever more sensitive as devices to hear even the most whispered speech.

Those of us who have survived the database searches live in fear. We exist in a darkness surrounded by the blithely ignorant who continue to indulge themselves with mindless passion in the new, state-sponsored ‘bread and circuses’ entertainments. We are naturally sick at heart and can barely endure the permanent falseness that pervades everything now with not a trace of any of the relief we felt hearing some of the down-to-earth reality as transmitted daily by The Duran and others. We now live within a vacuum chamber of darkness, one from which there appears no possible escape… save one.

THE 'MEAT GRINDER' HORROR & BLOODBATH INCREASINGLY TAKING PLACE IN UKRAINE

Though I am 100% in support of the end goals that Russia seeks to accomplish in Ukraine, there is something deeply immoral about any enterprise where mass death is brought about. Especially so in the context of the present cold-blooded 'meat grinder' process being employed. Of course this process has been demanded by the circumstances found by Russia due to the defence in depth system created by Ukraine with its NATO allies along the border of the Donbass and the iniquity of Ukrainian military bombardment of the Russian-speaking civilian population within it.

However, if we consistently visualise ALL those dying as evil, modern day Nazis we can get over such feelings. But, as we increasingly realise that with the most highly-trained Ukrainian troops having been eliminated, the reality is that ordinary Ukrainian citizens, family men, fathers, sons, brothers and husbands, who never volunteered for this but were pressed into service, forcibly conscripted, are those being killed, then an increasing sympathy must surely prevail.

The hell being experienced by hapless reservists given the choice of being shot by their own side or slaughtered by the Russians must surely garner some sympathy in those of us urging Russia on. Pummelled by incessant missile attacks, surely petrified and shell shocked, expecting death at any second in the most awful of conditions with only a tiny hole along a trench for protection or if lucky some larger dugout, unable to sleep, long having lost all hope... these men, the unwilling conscripts, must surely be pitied.

Not the modern day Nazis of course, those whose mentality has been reduced to the most sadistic and hate-fuelled condition… never those. But for those who never wanted to travel to the Donbass to kill anyone, who only ever wanted to live their lives with their families, yes most certainly I absolutely do feel for them and would suggest that we all should.

Of course Putin and the Russians in general never wanted this mass slaughter/bloodbath. The guilt for ALL of this lies with Zelensky and those pulling his strings in the USA, UK and EU. But still, I can't help but feel a deep compassion for those decent Slavs dying now in their droves knowing that the next few weeks and months cannot help but see the number of dead, wounded and traumatised increase.

The USA and UK in particular embody the most cynical of all motivations pretending as they do to care so deeply for Ukrainians but effecting a policy whereby no attempt to establish peace is pursued but instead urging ever more useless resistance resulting in the current daily bloodbath.

Those who rejoice on either side at the deaths of others are in grave danger of losing what remains of their humanity. So it is that I would urge those who wish fervently to see their side win think sometimes of the very real tragedy that is inevitably taking place even while urging a final end that meets their desires for some form of ultimate justice.

War is hell, a form of legalised murder and our knowledge of what went on in previous wars, in world war one especially, should inform and confirm our views on that. The trench warfare taking place in eastern Ukraine now where incessant bombardment is used to ‘soften up’ resistance may well be the only way forward for Russia in the circumstances but I would urge that we all keep in mind the human tragedies involved with over 200 fatalities occurring each and every day and likely to increase from this point onward.

For those who wished to avoid the war, some of whom we have seen on film being chased down their street by recruiters, for those who were given the choice of being shot on the spot or go to the front and for those who are being shot for leaving their positions and not continuing to go through the absolute hell of the trenches I feel huge sympathy is warranted. To most Russians these men are brothers, considered as the same folk, as Russians in essence, the same Slavic genetic family whose ancestors, the Rus they have in common.

The present situation is deeply tragic. We who observe from a distance may not always find it so, as we are so removed from the horror. We only hear the cold daily statistics and are generally heartened or saddened depending on who gained or lost that day and on which side. But as human beings we should never experience any positive emotions past a certain limit, always tempered by the knowledge of the gross human suffering involved.

We may well look to a future expression of justice for all which can serve to justify the present carnage for us, but there always remains the risk that even while we seek an end where good prevails, that we are sullied and made callous by the process. At each moment I would recommend a constant and abiding attempt to find and retain within us those elements of universal compassion and sympathy that are vital to retaining our humanity within the context of this war, a war that never should have been but for the deeply cynical global ambitions of the West.

THE 'MEAT GRINDER' HORROR & BLOODBATH INCREASINGLY TAKING PLACE IN UKRAINE

THERE'S A GREAT HISTORICAL IRONY AT WORK. BY THE WAY…WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT UKRAINE?

European leaders (and no doubt the president of the USA soon) have a message for any citizen willing to hear:

“YOU ARE GOING TO SUFFER LIKE YOU’VE NEVER SUFFERED BEFORE. OUR WESTERN ECONOMIES ARE GOING TO BE HIT HARD AND WILL NOT RECOVER FOR A DECADE, IF EVEN THEN. BUT WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO CONFRONT RUSSIA OVER UKRAINE.”

You may well have asked yourself the question that heads this commentary.

What is it that makes Ukraine so special?

The answer is simple. At its root this situation is not about Ukraine at all.

It is instead about the hard-driven ambition of the USA and its allies to destroy the rise of rivals who have the capability of progressively minimising the power over our planet that the USA considers is its by right.

Ukraine is about not letting Russia get in the way of a decision made at the highest levels of the American political system. That decision requires that all nations not obedient to the USA and its allies must be MADE obedient. This includes not only Ukraine of course but all the diverse regime change targets the collective West has listed for undermining or complete destruction. You know the list without me telling you, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Venezuela plus, eventually the two big ones, Russia and China.

Consider the plan as laid out in extremely cogent detail by Professor John J. Mearsheimer, to transform every nation on the planet into the USA or as close as may be. To spread liberal democracies worldwide and in his words create liberal hegemony, western values everywhere in a system that adheres to a ‘rules-based system’ monitored by the U.S. elites. This of course will be a system that lies ABOVE the ethos of the United Nations, a system whereby the USA and its allies will have the right to strike down at anyone and anywhere that shows any sign of disobedience.

In this prison planet to come (if the USA, UK and their puppets) there will be no tolerance for contrary opinions to those handed down by their supervisors, these, as we can see now, will be branded as dangerous ‘misinformation’ and ‘propaganda’. Those who dare to mouth such opinions will most certainly have certain icons added to their names in the database to be constructed for all such subversives. Will it be a case of three strikes and out… or will the very first strike be enough in this ‘Cowed New World’ to be?

As to Ukraine, Ukraine fell foul of the earlier plan targeted on Russia. Russia was to be squeezed from all possible sides until it cracked and an uprising from both above and below created an opportunity to replace its president, its government and its system of governance along with putting down any support structures including both individuals and entities that required elimination. Just as the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact nations were rendered weak, by inner discord and outer pressure so was Russia to fall.

But a highly surprising turn of events occurred that stymied the plan for the undermining of Russia. It had been thought that the coup which took place in Ukraine in 2014 would assist in the plan against Russia, undermining it and engendering yet more stresses within its social fabric and political structures. Neither Washington nor Brussels predicted the rise of Russian-speaking eastern Ukraine in demand of the return of the democratic rights that had been wrenched from them by the insurrection-engendered coup.

The Ukrainian army, sent to violently quell unrest in eastern Ukraine found themselves roundly defeated and the new Kiev regime sued for peace to buy time to re-arm, build and re-train its military forces. However, concurrently Russia was readying herself for that future time when the unavoidable confrontation between itself and Ukraine once again exploded into violence. The activities taking place in Ukraine involving NATO and its military were totally obvious to Russia. Sooner or later things would come to a head.

It seems that the policies Russia was putting into practice over the same period, 2014-2022 were not as clear to the West however. Putin was making Russia as invulnerable to the economic attack that was as equally inevitable as war with Ukraine. Steadily he identified every vulnerability to western attack and closed each such opening to attack as he could find. While doing this Russia and China could see in the interim exactly what danger they had been in, especially since 9/11.

9/11 put rocket boosters under the USA’s driving need to achieve full spectrum dominance over the entire globe. Nothing less that overarching hegemony with total surveillance capability would do, along with the absolute right to act against those it considered may pose a threat… even those who simply talked in some rather offhand way counter to U.S. interests… no potential threat, no matter how minor, was to be overlooked. To overlook ANYTHING was to put the USA at some level of risk… and NO level of risk whatsoever was tolerable.

Russia then had built herself an economic and geopolitical shield. In addition Putin had made damn sure the Russian military was made as professional as it could be and that it had superior weaponry for the situations that were bound to come. In the early months of this year, with Zelensky talking of regaining nuclear status, with successive waves of highly trained Ukrainian troops and hi-tech weaponry arriving at the contact line in the east, with a massive rise of missile attacks by the Ukrainians on the Russian-speaking Donbass it was clear that both sides had reached the point of no return. War became inevitable.

The western elites had massively miscalculated. And they have miscalculated time and time again since, seemingly unaware of just how many moves ahead Putin, the master tactician, had calculated. The technical solutions to replacing western banking systems, credit card systems, foreign investment and business interests and international payment systems were all put into place one after another. Then workarounds were found for just about all else that the collective West sought to use as a weapon. These latter ended up with the biter bit, the hubris of the western powers initially blinded them to the trap they subsequently fell into.

Each day that passes now we see Europe fall ever deeper into a morass of its own making and Russia has hardly even fired the largest of its potential guns yet. Russia could have switched off ALL gas to Europe and the USA as it saw the West declare economic war against it. Even now, six months later it has still not done so. But that day appears not to be very far off now… though it has to be said, the enormous rise in gas prices is doing the job required and still supplying Russia with the enormous income to carry out its future plans.

The actions of the West now are not primarily about Ukraine, In normal circumstances no politician in the West would give a good goddamn about Ukraine and its population. This is about the delusion that still exists within the hearts and what’s left of the minds of western political elites, that even with the unipolar moment all but disappeared from sight and a rising reality in the name of a multipolar world appearing, they can still fight for an impossible prison planet run by them that they believe is their only hope of staying safe.

None of what is happening now via the insanity of Biden’s gifts of billions to Ukraine and the rabid obsession of Britain is about Ukraine at all. It is about the fast disappearing goal of attaining complete domination of this world. These dinosaurs of an earlier era, these power junkies fast losing their fix are tearing their hair out at the thought of their decision on the ABSOLUTE NECESSITY of eliminating every entity contrary to their requirements, is slipping inexorably from their ability to achieve it. This is driving them completely mad, willing to destroy the entire world rather than give up on what they consider to be an absolutely existential goal.

You see it now don’t you. This is at its core nothing whatsoever to do with Ukraine and those promoting ever more war in that benighted land will prod every last Ukrainian to fight until wiped out. Just in the vain hope of weakening a Russia that is in fact getting stronger all the time. This while the entire western world suffers the very fate its elites desired for Russia. This is truly one of the great, if not the greatest irony of history, one that will certainly not go unremarked by future historians.

In case anyone reading this is too young to be aware of the fact, both Russia and China strongly opposed the USA, UK and their co-conspirators attacking and invading Iraq. But as we know they went ahead anyway. Later, after at least 100,000 had died we learned that the basis of both the attack and invasion were at least flawed if not faked.

However, as the nations who attacked and invaded Iraq essentially run the United Nations and every single news source you may ever have encountered across the mainstream, Iraq was done at almost no cost to the criminals who were determined to do the deed. Oh, there were slight tremors, but no earthquake as they surely would have been if it had been China or Russia instead of them.

Due to the leaders of all western powers considering that they are superior to all others and that it is essentially impossible therefore for them to do wrong or be disciplined by any kind of action against them the whole thing basically disappeared. The very idea of the leaders who instigated the crime against humanity that was the second Iraq war should be punished in any way, or that their populations who had largely supported them should, was simply out of the question.

The collective West is then essentially immune to the norms of international law. They can do what they like to whom they like whenever they like with virtually total impunity. And when they do they expect zero change in the status they hold or the way other nations relate to them. They demand utmost respect at all times, no matter how many laws they break or people they slaughter based on fabricated realities.

It’s a neat trick if you can get away with it, isn’t it?

And they have gotten away with it for a very long time now. This is because they have run most things for so long and have the means to do great harm, in one way or another, to anyone who gets uppity and attempts to stop them. They are in the arm-twisting business and have had the leverage required through myriad means to hit those who face up to them in any way, and hit them hard. You may have noticed however, that this ability is distinctly on the wane.

The days when the planning of global blackmail, potent threats and mass slaughter was all in a day’s work for the western elites until relatively recently. They abused the situation they found themselves to the max while it persisted. All nations not kow-towing to their power found themselves treated to the equivalent of international bullying. The tough guys on the block meant business and they had the arsenal of weapons to back up their loud-mouthed belligerence. But as we can see now, two particular residents of the global neighbourhood have been making regular attendance at the gym.

The two well-muscled newcomers to the streets around the locality have started flexing those muscles. And unsurprisingly, the others in that locale who were intimidated by the snarling threats of the resident bullies have begun moving to positions backing the new guys. This has resulted in two changes. The first change was reflected in the two bullies gathering their cronies around them. They were able to do this as the gang had been tight-knit for so long now that this unity had become a habit and two because the two primary bullies could still do severe damage to the others in the gang, especially the gang leader.

This is where we move from this metaphorical situation to the present global reality. The USA (the gang leader) and its henchman (the UK) are in the process of maximising the strength of the gang as a whole. Germany, France, Italy, Poland and others have been organised for a number of years in an attempt to bring down the newbie powers, Russia and China. The first target being Russia. The West Gang (as we’ll call them) used very well known tactics employed by bullies everywhere.

You know how this goes. You may have experienced it yourself or observed it close at hand. Or perhaps you have seen it on your tV or at the movies. The technique hardly varies. You just keep prodding. Keep the pressure up. Fire insults at the target. Trip up the target whenever possible. Spread gossip all around and ensure their side of the story is never told. And last of all, avoid the target having any chance to respond. Pressure and more pressure, prodding, tripping up and insults… drive the target to doing something that will “justify” you kicking that target when its down and never let up, not for a moment. Then, when the target finally responds you point at it as the obvious “guilty party”.

So it has been with Russia. Heaven forfend that it should have border security. Deny it any rights in that respect. Get right up close and stare malevolently in its face. Dare it to do something. Deny every attempt it makes to find a peaceful compromise position, betray its every confidence and laugh in its face as it twists and turns to find a way out from the trap being set for it. Organise events that show the country in the worst possible light. Slander its leaders from dawn to dusk on a daily basis through every political and media source possible. Drive the nation into a corner and apply all the pressure you can organise to get the explosion you need to drive a geopolitical dagger right in its back.

Meanwhile a facade of sanctity, of enormous and impenetrable defence around yourselves. Do all you can to convince western populations that you are the innocent and injured party in all this, a white knight only intent on doing good and saving the world from evil. Do you see how this works? It works devilishly well, wouldn’t you say? You have become that villain with the lovely smile that people used to hiss at, as the movies. Only now you have created all the scripts that people at “the movies” see playing out on their screens and you have them right where you want them… believing in you.

The movie audience in question has been given a shot of amnesia. Iraq and the rest hardly seem real somehow. There is no lingering shock. It’s all conveniently forgotten within the comfortable propaganda soup in all 57 flavours that is the oh so materialist West today. Entertainment and comfort foods have taken the place of insight and brain nutrients for most now. And for the most part they sway to your instructions like fantasy sheep at a farmyard rock concert.

Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria… vague, misty, half-memories of something uninteresting compared to which fast food joint will be next to be frequented, what blood and guts action movie to watch tonight, and later… what news anchor to stare mesmerised at as he or she tells you how evil Russia is. Isn’t that the way of it?

And of course they talk about RUSSIAN propaganda and misinformation. Himmler and Goebbels had it right, if you’re going to tell a lie, make it a BIG one, and accuse your enemy of what you are doing yourself.

Just as the Ukrainian regime does every day that dawns.

There's a lot of posturing going on but is there really much point to it, does it lead anywhere significant? I’m partly talking here about the YouTube videos that are giving a wholly false impression of how things are going in Ukraine. The plain truth of the matter is that Russia is sooner or later going to achieve ALL its goals… and then some.

If like me you are sometimes irked by the amount of blatantly false narratives being distributed, especially on YouTube, then my advice ultimately is not to worry in the slightest about it. Yes, it does cause anger to arise at what are quite obviously either the result of extreme prejudice or blatant propaganda manufactured in western intelligence agencies to some degree or other.

This, taken as a whole, could easily be described as The Fake News War.

Just as Hitler and his closest associated were treated to a wartime version of manufactured false realities so today we have the plethora of newspaper articles, TV news output and ostensibly personal video all intended to give the erroneous picture of Ukrainian victories and Russian defeats.

But does any of this affect what goes on, on the battlefield itself or the tactics deployed by the Russians (they may well affect these in regard to the Ukrainian regime, but of that more later). Regarding the Russian high command all such verbiage is utterly transparent.

Theatrics, PR campaigns, events designed for western public consumption and all the mass manipulation of western politicians and their cronies within mass media are completely irrelevant. They have their plan with its stages, they have the series of events within their campaign designed to surround strategic targets and the methods required to make the incremental gains needed to achieve their targets. All else, all the spluttering venom, all the faux speculation, manipulative designs of western elites and the self-absorbed, self-seeking, self-important obsessions of the west-centric world can be of no possible interest or have any possible effect upon them.

Russia has got this and the Russian political and military elites prepared long and hard to make sure of it and all the fake news possible that all the various information-mongers of the West spew out across the largely, miraculously naive populations of the western world won’t make one iota of difference to the final result.

THE UKRAINE THEATRE OF WAR AS CURRENTLY PLAYED ON BROADWAY IS A MIX OF FARCE & BLACK COMEDY

The audience watching the playacting of its media regarding what’s going on in Ukraine is perplexed. They hear that Ukraine is winning hands down, that Russia is dismayed with dissension in the ranks, collapsing morale in its army and a commander in chief racking his brain for some way out of a mess that’s only getting worse.

This is what they’ve been promised and if this audience don’t get what was promised there’ll be trouble.

This audience has been hearing about this play and its central devil of a character for decades now and they expect the same happy ending they are used to. They expect to see it acted out up there on that stage. This is how it’s meant to be down here on God’s little planet. Isn’t it? He’s up there watching and will surely make those evil Russkies turn round with their tails curled between their legs and beat a retreat into the backwoods.

What other outcome could there possibly be?

Surely this is the script being followed here. The usual happy ending. No?

“Well no.”

What??!!

“Sorry, this is the author of the play here. I need to tell you a few little lies so you suspend any disbelief you might have. Besides, we would be seen as traitors if we told you the bare facts. You surely don’t want a play like those Scandinavians put on depicting depressing gloomy reality? Do You?”

This is met by something between a quizzical confusion, a scowl and a sigh of relief across the audience.

“You want fantasy, don’t you?”

“That’s what keeps you happily entertained, isn’t it?”

“You wouldn’t come to a play that makes you miserable, would you? Not if you’re a middle-American theatre-goer without pretensions to being an intellectual, I’m right, aren’t I?”

“Just be happy with what we’re telling you… because believe me the raw facts are not gonna make you happy.”

There’s a rustling of discontent as the play continues with saintly Ukrainians winning in every scene. Somehow certain disquieting noises off stage are spoiling the show. There’s whispering going on here and there that’s not part of the script as certain elements demonstrate their intent on disturbing the audience’s enjoyment.

Why, the audience begins to ask itself, are we not hearing of Ukraine taking back specific towns… or cities? All we’re hearing is opinion, and hearsay. And where are the backdrops showing the images of massive Russian casualties we were promised?

We paid good tax dollars for all the guns and missiles that were sent, billions of dollars worth. We want to see what was promised. Where’s the collapse of the rouble scene and the demise of the entire Russian economy we were told to expect that would make us clap out hands in joy to see?

And how come WE the ones suffering instead of them???!

What kind of fake publicity have you guys been spreading to get us to pay our hard earned dollars for this here shambolic production?

And who are these people in the wings, in the balconies and at the back of the hall calling out about the Russians winning for f**k sake???

You keep frog-marching them out… but they keep getting back in!

IS ZELENSKY BEING FED THE SAME B.S. “INFORMING” WESTERN MAINSTREAM MEDIA?

In recent days Erdogan of Turkey has provided an insight into Zelensky’s current mindset. Apparently Zelensky told Erdogan in a private conversation that he feels the people around him are misleading him.

This should not surprise anyone as since 2014 when the coup by insurrection to remove the democratically-elected president and government of Ukraine it has essentially become against the law to say certain things.

As with the situation which prevailed in the USA after the election of Trump in 2016 it progressively became a crime to say anything concerning Russia that was in the least positive. Those who did and who were prominent figures in any way would certainly come in for huge criticism, were in general ostracised and if their critics had their way, cancelled.

The process described above has been far more widespread in western Ukraine and via state policies and changes in the law far deeper with ever more draconian punishments applied. Radio and TV stations have even been closed down and the leader of the main opposition party jailed for the crime of being less disparaging of Russia than was deemed necessary by the state.

As in the USA these processes have resulted in a general silence regarding anything approaching Russia that is not wholly negative and since the beginning of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine this has become massively reinforced. In addition of course it has become the norm to big up Zelensky, Ukraine in general and Ukrainian military success. Even when the Russian military made major gains such as capturing cities any mention of this has been grudging and heavily embroidered to suit the favoured narratives which big up the Ukrainian side.

One can only imagine the effect of this in Kiev/Kyiv where to speak in ANY way that is positive toward Russia can get you violently attacked if not killed outright. Think of the Russophobia which exists in the United States and then multiply that by your factor of choice. Do you think for a moment that officials around Zelensky tell him the bare facts? Do you think any military official close to the Ukrainian high command is going to risk demotion or worse by doing so?

The fable of the emperor who has no clothes has been appropriate for a great many situations in Ukraine since 2014. But the paucity of any figures willing to put their necks on the line like the unwitting actions of the innocent boy in the fable must certainly be close to zero and more likely than not to be at zero.

This is nothing new of course. For years the U.S. war in Afghanistan was reported to be going along just fine, or if not just fine at least the Taliban were being contained, Kabul was doing well, democracy was being delivered along with freedom for the Afghan people. The scandal of telling your superiors what they most wanted to hear and them delivering it up the line in similar fashion to their own superiors who informed the various departments of government and the president himself, is well known.

Add to all this the condition known as ‘war mode’ where the enemy MUST always be portrayed in the worst light while your side is ‘brave’, ‘fearless’ and always, somehow “winning” even when almost all the facts reflect the opposite. The “good guys” ALWAYS win, don’t they? We know this from the countless products of Hollywood and its imitators across the world. Only sometimes the “good guys” may be the bad guys (think of those Nazi belt buckles emblazoned with ‘Gott Mit Uns’ on them).

The collective West in the figures of the most prominent political figures imbue the notion of exemplary correctness, the self-awarded or deity-granted correctness of conduct on all possible issues, policies and actions. These political elites of the West consider that they and everything about their views and their societies are exemplary, superior and exceptional. And of course that those who oppose them in any way are not and are therefore enemies of all that is good, right and proper.

Zelensky and those around him also have so much invested in these concepts that the thought of defeat or even the mention of defeat and with it the mention of any Russian gains against them is anathema.

So is it any wonder that Zelensky talks of people around him not telling him the truth and indeed misleading him? Hasn’t he himself been the author of this milieu of manufactured “reality” with almost his every statement? What else could he possibly expect?

For the populations of the western world all this has had an additional knock-in effect. Western mass media also assumed a strong ‘war mode’ stance in regard to events in Ukraine and as with the case of Syria where the pro-government side could not have any news relayed, so in regard to Ukraine only the news of Ukrainian officials and activists could be relayed and nothing from the ‘other side’.

That there remains a sizeable number of people within the civilian populations of the West that consider their mainstream news outlets as truthful on what is going on in Ukraine is quite amazing. In recent memory, the examples of mainstream deceit have been many and it is not even necessary to name them. So the notion that the newspapers and TV news channels are delivering the objective facts on Ukraine is quite astounding to conceive of. Where have these people been for the last almost two decades?

Believing bullshit, whether that comes about through naivety, some misguided notion of patriotism or sheer hatred-induced wishful thinking, in essence comes down to this, it equates to encouraging blindness. And I would posit with some confidence now that Zelensky has been in a state of virtual blindness since those days when Boris Johnson and Joe Biden convinced him to call a halt to all peace negotiations with Russia.

However, the truth is now becoming undeniable. No matter how many times a day others brainwash you with positive thinking and “facts” regarding surefire Ukraine victory and Russian defeat, a little some of actuality begins to permeate the belief bubble you exist within if you are as deeply deluded as Zelensky. The blandishments about how well Ukraine is doing will no doubt continue without limit. But even a bullshit-permeated individual such as Zelensky appears to be will, I am sure, notice some tell-tale signs in expressions, unconscious ticks and certain undisguisable eye movements that all is not quite as it seems to be with things going as seriously wrong as they are now.

Zelensky may be just starting to wake up to all this. How long before most of Europe and the USA do also?

IS ZELENSKY BEING FED THE SAME B.S. "INFORMING" WESTERN MAINSTREAM MEDIA?

WILL RUSSIA DECLARE WAR ON UKRAINE? (UPDATED)

You may recall that several months ago Russia issued a stern warning to Kiev that if it persisted in targeting locations within Russia it would begin targeting control and decision-making centres within Ukraine. It has not done so until now as the Russian leadership has not declared war on Ukraine, contrary to what is perhaps the opinion of most regarding Russia’s actions since February 24th. The Russian leadership certainly does not categorise its actions in Ukraine as constituting a war. This is why it designated the campaign in Ukraine as a special military operation.

This is not merely sophistry. As most insightful observers will confirm, Russia has not been conducting a full blown war against Ukraine despite the lurid tales that western mass media has regaled readers and viewers with since Russia’s campaign began. The Russian military has taken care to limit civilian casualties and significantly has not till now targeted vital infrastructure. If the U.S. approach in the Iraq war is compared with the situation in Ukraine the difference between the approaches can easily be seen.

Russia regards the Russian-speaking people living in the Donbass as they do their own citizens, therefore it would be wholly inconceivable for the Russian military to go in all guns blazing destroying everything wholesale including vital infrastructure. In addition, the mission to liberate the Russian-speaking population there (as they see it) requires the cooperation of the civilian population both during and after victory over the Ukrainian regime. For both these reasons creating a humanitarian disaster and mass slaughter of civilians just to eliminate the Ukrainian army in their positions is unacceptable.

The Ukrainian army, as confirmed by Amnesty International in a recent report, is heavily embedded within the civilian population across the entire area Russia seeks to liberate/occupy. This is why the incremental gains by the Russian military appear excruciatingly slow to many outside observers. Naturally Russia has the capacity, especially using hypersonic missiles or even nuclear devices to completely decimate all areas where the Ukrainian army faces them. However, until now it has restrained itself.

This may be about to change, though the targets decided upon if a change does occur will not necessarily be in the area directly facing the Russian military, at least not in the Majority of cases. There are several reasons why a change in tactics may occur comprising an expansion of targets for attacks.

In the last 24 hours the ISW (Institute for the Study of War) released a report which stated in the authors’ opinion that Russia will now struggle to make significant gains and that momentum has been lost. If this has some basis in truth it would be one significant reason for a change in tactics. Another opinion says that Russia will struggle to make significant gains due to the worsening weather as winter approaches. Yet it is the final circumstance that may bring about the change I spoke of above.

In recent weeks Ukraine has made an increasing number of attacks on Russian territory. Initially these attacks targeted Belgorod, within the Russian Federation north of Kharkov/Kharkiv. A number of attacks took place between April and the end of July. It was this month however when Ukraine began hitting targets in Crimea, apparently using drones to do this, that a red line has likely been crossed for Russia. In addition, the murder of the daughter of a prominent Russian figure in the last few days by a Ukrainian agent may well have been the final straw for Russia.

It can be expected that, as in past occurrences where additional action was deemed necessary a debate will occur in Russia’s parliament, the Duma where additional powers may be granted the Russian president. Perhaps these will merely extend targets to a limited degree, however, the possibility exists that more significant powers will be granted, such as the ability to authorise the declaration of war and with this authorisation, to extend attacks to Ukrainian control and command centres and even perhaps the authorisation to order tactical nuclear strikes on such positions and/or major military/intelligence assets not previously targeted.

Whether any of the above occurs will depend on the judgement of those in the Duma regarding how serious the situation is for Russia if a reasonably quick end to the current special military operation is unavailable and also bringing into consideration the recent increasing number of attacks being made by Ukraine within Russia.

Under these circumstances can it be possible that Russia will now seriously consider declaring war on Ukraine and opening up the prospect of targeting those locations currently off limits, potentially including the authorisation of limited tactical nuclear weapons? I suspect so. Only time will tell…

The tactic being deployed by the western powers opposing Russia through a sustained Ukrainian defence is composed of an attempt to weaken Russian resolve through a continued military response by the Ukrainian army plus its volunteer and militia forces. And also of course to completely ignore all admonitions to take part in negotiations or peace talks. We see this policy of the U.S., UK and European powers as reflected in the attitude and public statements of Zelensky and those around him. The Ukrainian policy, as repeatedly stated, is to refuse to take part in any talks with Russia until Russia leaves all Ukrainian land taken by them. This Russia will not do.

Recalling Russia’s threats against the Ukrainian political elites if they persisted in targeting locations within Russia, this is a scenario whereby the Russian leadership will have had its hand repeatedly forced into declaring war on Ukraine. At this point the number and type of targets in Ukraine will be expanded to include decision and control centres, vital infrastructure including internet access and much, much more. A full scale war waged against Ukraine is something that has not been seen to date and would certainly devastate what is left of Ukraine.

Especially hard hit would be nodes of central command, including those where western and NATO expertise are located. All transport networks would be targeted, not just those suspected of transporting weapons. Storage depots of all types, not simply those having known association with the Ukrainian military. Electricity and gas infrastructure would become targets, the flow of gas flowing through Nord Stream 1 would certainly stop. As was talked of when the USA waged war against Iraq, a collapsing of vital infrastructure would be sought to almost take the country ‘back to the Stone Age’.

These are my forebodings on what may occur if the present desire of the western elites to urge the Ukrainian political leadership to fight on continues unabated. This point may already have passed however with the Crimea attacks and murder of Darya Dugina. We must await the deliberations of the Duma and any decision by them having been passed to the Kremlin for activation.

Will Russia declare war upon Ukraine with all this signifies? I fear so. At that point the world enters a yet more dangerous situation than even the one already confronting us. With all sides facing an existential threat to their power, sovereignty and security and so being totally unable to back down, by all sides seeing ever more escalation as the only way in the circumstances to pursue their vital interests, the end result can only mean the threat of not only all-out war in Ukraine but the ever-increasing threat of a nuclear war between Russia and the entire collective West.

WILL RUSSIA DECLARE WAR ON UKRAINE?

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, AFTER ITS INITIAL VICTORY, RUSSIA MUST SEAL THE DEAL

Sometime during the next two to three months Russia will complete the current phase of its special military operation and have taken possession of the entire Donbass region and much else besides. This will be a hard won victory with many positive consequences for the civilian population there.

A final end will be realised to the siege the civilian populations of Donetsk and Lugansk have undergone for the last eight years and the constant threat of death and destruction that permeated their lives and which the western world sought to keep from view.

The relief felt by the people of the Donbass will be beyond description and inform every aspect of their lives and a reborn hope for the future, a future which will undoubtedly come with all the benefits of being within the Russian Federation.

These past eight years have shown the people of the Donbass who their enemies are and who they can place trust in as friends. They have revealed a western world to them that they could not have conceived of previously. That world sought to keep them bounded in silence while genocidal monsters surrounded them seeking their total extinction. The knowledge of this betrayal of the core aspects of decent humanity will never be forgotten.

During these eight years fear was never truly absent, being kept permanently in place by the knowledge that your own countrymen and women sought your total annihilation and worked day and night to effect their plans only a few kilometres away. This, and the isolation to effect their demise by the West, meant that this terrible fear held a constant grip on all hearts. That fear is about to disappear forever.

With all this said and done, with the Donbass emptied of those who have laid siege on the Donbass for year after year with the West's total approval and no move by the central Ukrainian authorities in Kiev to lift it, the war remains only half won. Now comes the task to ensure that the borders of the Donbass are fully secured and, what is most important, secured for good and all, in perpetuity within the unified borders of Russia herself.

This latter task will be every bit as difficult as the winning of the Donbass from Ukrainian domination has been. By some means the long border with what is left of Ukraine must be sealed with a guarantee of as near a level of total security as can be humanly achieved. Those who have been subjecting the people of the Donbass to the eight years of misery just passed are sure not to relent and simply leave them in peace. Acts of subversion and terrorism will surely be perpetrated, cross-border incursions and missile attacks may even be frequent for a time.

In the last week or two we have seen the Ukrainian regime successfully mount acts of sabotage on Russian territory in Crimea and the city of Belgorod. Also, in the last 24 hours a terrorist act carried out without doubt by Ukrainian loyalists have killed the daughter of a prominent Russian figure. As was the case during the Chechen war, and in its aftermath, such events are likely to occur for some time to come.

What can Russia do in the face of these continuing acts of state terrorism on behalf of the Kiev authorities and their out-of-control neo-Nazi militia members? This will be the big question facing Russia as phase three of the special military operation begins. How, now that the Donbass has been cleared of the pernicious influence that has scarred and defaced it over the past eight years can it now be fully secured, the enemy excluded, their plans rendered impotent and the people maintained in abiding security that will allow normal life and renewed hope to resume in the Donbass?

This will soon be the question facing Vladimir Putin and the combined will of the Russian people.

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, AFTER ITS INITIAL VICTORY, RUSSIA MUST SEAL THE DEAL

PUTIN PULLED OFF A MAGICAL TRICK ANY MAGICIAN WOULD BE PROUD OF

Two decades and more ago Russia was struggling to climb up from the state of chaos and downward plummeting that was the Yeltsin era. Of all the candidates to replace him that Yeltsin investigated there was one that though diminutive in physical size more than made up for that in terms of his character.

Putin was known by friends and possible foes alike as a rare thing within the St. Petersburg bureaucracy at the time, a person of integrity who did not abuse his position. The experience of most staffers at the U.S. embassy there chose to see Putin rather than others due to his straight dealing. These plus other qualities he had built up during his time in the Soviet Union’s intelligence agency made him Yeltsin’s choice.

Putin was strong but fair, a graduate of law school who had gone through several baptisms of fire through his career, including the fall of the system he had been charged to preserve. Though somewhat introverted and serious-minded he was not incapable of dry wit at times and was certainly not naive, not one to suffering fool or incompetence easily... and Putin also had one pet hate, betrayal. All in all Yeltsin knew he had found his man.

So Putin set to work attempting to raise Russia up by its bootstraps. The Russian mafia was having a field day and the potential to make a mint by all manner of means with no comeback from the law made bringing order to that society an immense challenge. As did the oligarchs who had arisen during Yeltsin’s time. They had used every opportunity to bring themselves wealth beyond the dreams of avarice. And they were quite averse to paying taxes.

Putin was charged with more or less single-handedly doing the equivalent of herding cats with one arm tied behind his back through a soggy marshland. Yet he accomplished this task despite the expectations of just about everyone. Could anyone else have done it? Looking at the task facing Putin at that time it must surely be very unlikely. Using all his intuitive skills he first set about making the oligarchs pay taxes. This was desperately needed as Russia had defaulted on all its loans and was in economic and financial free fall.

Putin decided on a step by step process. He called all the main oligarchs into the Kremlin for a meeting. It is said they were so cocky in that meeting that they threatened that they would destroy him if he acted against them. Putin perceived that they were scared he’d take from them the money or properties they had gained in the preceding years. In the next meeting he had worked out his step by step strategy. He told them they could keep whatever they had and that he would not act against them… but on two conditions, they would begin to pay taxes and they would not use their fabulous wealth to try to win political power.

Putin’s plan worked and Russia’s fortunes began to improve. Without the kind of threats others might have tried against the oligarchs heralding an all-out war where both sides would lose, Putin had used his well-known qualities of patience and incisive intelligence to create a solution where each side won… and of course his primary concern, that Russia should win.

Over the next many years Putin insisted on each and every department of government, the security sector and the military be imbued with something of his own determination to do the right thing, to act with integrity, to deny the seductions of corruption a victim and along with him work hard for the benefit of all Russia. Right up to today he proffers the benefits of patriotism at every level. As a young man he had joined the KGB with this in mind and now as a middle-aged man his dedication to country and honour was everything to him.

The transformation of Russia is truly something to see. If you wish to compare then and now simply go to YouTube and find the Soviet era film ‘Brat’. It shows just how things were in Russia and in St. Petersburg in the Yeltsin era. And, if you can, find a friend or neighbour who has seen something of the modern day Russia. You will be astonished that virtually one man with a mission was responsible. Putin performed an absolutely astonishing, almost magical trick that defies all understanding. But the proof is there if you only look. The spirit of Putin lives and abides there and none of what transpired could possibly have been done without him.

In recent years as the West has conducted a massive media campaign against Vladimir Putin there has been little by way of reciprocal response. Vladimir Putin has continued to refer to his attackers as Russia’s “partners”. This has irked quite a number of those who would have liked to have seen an equally aggressive response to Putin’s attackers. Well, now we are seeing that response and true to Putin’s nature it has come in the form of measured but deadly words of criticism of the West’s elites.

In his speech at the opening of an exposition in the last few days Putin pulled zero punches. He accused his enemies in the West of spreading chaos to advance their aims. Putin described them as globalist elites which I take to mean that they conceive themselves to have a God-given right to assume power over all nations worldwide and to adjust their economic and foreign policy in respect of this. This right includes, as we have seen in recent decades the right to intervene anywhere the globalists wish to and to whatever depth and at whatever cost they deem necessary.

Putin made it clear once again, as he did in Munich in 2007 that in his view the interests of nations are best serviced under the agreements made under the auspices of the United Nations and in line with International Law. He further evinces a strong belief that only when the sovereignty of law-abiding nations is respected can there again be the degree of trust in the world that engenders stability and peaceful and economically beneficial relationships between states.

As Putin stated in Munich in 2007, while the USA and its allies act as a supra-UN power with no laws governing it except those it chooses to be governed by, contravening the strictures of the United Nations and International Law as it please, trust in such authority as constituted by the USA and its allies is almost impossible and security within sovereign states cannot possibly be guaranteed. Putin was clear that such an “authority” though professing to avow democratic principles was in fact a de facto dictatorship that demanded all others obey its demands… or else.

It was the Munich speech of 2007, spoken in moderate but clear terms, that took Putin from being a widely accepted statesman, which he had been from 2000 to that time, to being public enemy number one in the West. This because the collective West had agreed among itself that largely due to 9/11 that it was imperative that the USA in particular and those who aligned themselves with it have overarching control of any and all aspects worldwide that might precipitate another such attack.

The end result of such a project whereby the collective West and the USA in particular gained ‘full spectrum dominance’ over the entire world would be of course a virtual prison planet observed from space and ground telecommunications 24/7. All nations would require to be subservient and compliant to the requirements of the USA in effect and subordinate to its closest allies. These are the globalist elites who naturally enough do not see things in these terms. They put an altogether different face on this project.

For the globalist elites of the western world and their allies and proxies the policy they are forwarding is about spreading freedom and democracy within a package that includes a rules based system along with what they call western values. This they conceive as, or at least portray as, a wholly benign regime whereby all are guaranteed their rights under the rule of laws defined by the needs of those who are bringing this new global paradigm into being. To what degree it is narrowly focused on the imperative to provide total security for the USA post 9/11 is not talked of.

It is left up to the reader to discern the motives of those who have been pressing for the above policy and to estimate to what degree the serial regime change wars we have seen over the past two decades have brought the envisaged new world order closer or damaged the prospects for its arrival. No U.S. spokesperson will ever enlighten us on these matters regarding the full range of motivations behind this policy. We are meant to take their assurances on trust,believing that they mean only the best for all of us.

Clearly however, Vladimir Putin does not believe a word of these assurances that putting the entire world in the hands of these globalist elites and blithely assuming they know best, signing away all sovereign rights and the protection of the United Nations into the bargain. Putin has clearly taken on the mantle of leader to all nations who have understandable fears for the independence of their sovereign states which would be at the whim of officials never elected to have any say in their governance.

We are thus in the end game war, the last world war to decide under what parameters we will be governed. As independent, sovereign states that have their rights invested solidly within the laws, societal customs, traditions and mores of those nations or nations subordinated to an unelected but supremely powerful entity, the USA and its allies. The sides in this war are in flux currently with apparently more and more nations, especially in what is called ‘The Global South’ moving from the camp of what could be called ‘The Collective West’ to that of ‘The Eurasian Collective’, the latter being Russia, China and their allies.

Concurrent with the shift away from the West to the East we have the dramatic weakening of the western camp while in the case of Russia in particular we see a rise in fortunes, some of the advantages of which are being passed to its allies by way of reasonably priced natural resources such as oil, gas and grain as well as a basket of other commodities, minerals and fuels. This trend is set to stymie western plans seen among the globalist elites as vital to their interests and will tend to exacerbate the effect of their subsequently desperate attempts to remedy their position.

So far the weapons in play have mainly been financial and economic, though Russian’s operation in Ukraine and the coming failure of the collective West to counter it successful by providing high-tech weaponry could well lead to further escalation including the potential use of nuclear weapons.

For Putin and Xi along with their allies however, this is the fight of their lives with the entire fate of their nations and the principle of truly sovereign states remaining free and independent in perpetuity that is at stake and they will not and cannot back down. The globalist elites of the West clearly feel they cannot back down either. The years to come therefore will arguably be the most crucial humankind has ever known as the end game war, the last world war, is fought to the bitter end.
