As the chant goes, "The whole world is watching!" and the world is coming to some pretty jaundiced conclusions about the western section of it.
The saying, something along the lines of, "Methinks thou dost protest too much" also comes to mind.
The leaders of the collective west are giving themselves a collective showing up or so it seems to me.
Desperate in their rabid anxiety to shore up their fast slipping patrician grip with a view to taking it up to what they conceive to be absolutely necessary post 9/11, to global manipulative capacity... they are watching it ALL go down in flames. It is clear that their goal of restoring the ‘Unipolar Moment’ and the obvious impossibility of attaining it is driving them quite mad.
And like a hapless fly in a tarantula's web they are struggling like fury... making the situation only worse by every movement.
Every propaganda trope and piece of reckless, simplistic rhetoric makes the majority of the world’s population grimace in disdain for the dying empire they see struggling to enforce its ever-weakening role and rule. The heady days when Britain ‘ruled the world’ are over, well and truly over. And the number of occasions when the USA can pridefully boast it is exceptional in every way are lessening by the day. I mean, have you looked closely at either the UK or USA recently?
Britain is in the throes of one disastrous political debacle after another, with strikes by nurses and ambulance workers, rail workers and who know how many others. People in Britain are having to choose whether to eat or heat in a great many cases. Prices have soared to a point where the whole societal structure of so-called Great Britain is close to collapse, businesses are closing their doors because they can no longer afford to function, shops are struggling to find sources for fruit and vegetables due to home grows being unable to afford the cost of raising crops…
And there’s so much more that shows Britain is once again the ‘sick man of Europe’, those above are only the tip of the iceberg, an iceberg that is sinking ‘Titanic Britain’. Britain, out of a Europe that is going through its own massive problems of deindustrialisation, problems of its own reckless making via its massively failing sanctions on Russia.
But America, exceptional America… how is it faring these days? You may have seen the litter-strewn streets, the tent cities and the zombie-like Opioid denizens who lope around or stand bent over and motionless in these locales. It has a president who couldn’t care less but spouts inane and garbled mutterings that increasingly show just how unfit he is for high office, or indeed any office at all. Across this beautiful nation we see multiple fires and black smoke belching. We hear of declining life expectancy and every manner of disease and disability. Sexual perversion has become a celebrated cause and very soon you can identify as anything you wish, as a gay spider perhaps, a doorknob or lamppost and everyone will most probably have to address you as such before long. Exceptional? Exceptionally suicidal, yes. Exceptional regarding right conduct, right thought and right deed? I think not.
Yet these two debased, diseased, debt-ridden and degraded nations still insist on telling you they are the epitome of life on Earth, the crowns of creation, blessed by Almighty God and His chosen ones. They insist also on telling the rest of us how to live and how to organise our systems of governance. They moralise as the most sanctimonious saints out there on how we should act and behave as if they represent the template of universal good and wisdom. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria… we are to forget they all happened. And we are to believe they are right about everything concerning Ukraine, Russia, China, Iran and everywhere else they have some national interest.
But how much longer can this unholy patrician self-interest be tolerated? With India and many others refusing to accept their command to hate and sanction others now the death knell of their ambition to once again rule the world is sounding… and louder every blessed day that dawns.
