RUSSIA, THE WEST, NATO & UKRAINE: FIGHTING A RERUN OF WWII

All sides in this conflict can be seen to be fighting a re-run of the last war, the second world war, and some of them are obviously doing so quite blindly regarding the motivations and intentions of the other side.

For Russia the mentality they are fighting mirrors that of the Nazis, a foe that Russians have never been allowed to forget and with good reason. The western powers and their media, heavily invested in their struggle deny that the Russians have any cause to feel as they do. However, as the coup took place in Kiev and in the aftermath a significant number of these news outlets (including the BBC) reported on the dangers that those who looked back in honour of Hitler’s Nazis. That streets in western Ukraine were named after those Ukrainians who worked with the Nazis against Russia and all else including the proliferation of Nazi-like symbols and swastika tattoos were facts soon cast aside as irrelevant. Not so to the Russians.

On the side of the two successive Ukrainian regimes since the coup of 2014 those the Russians called Nazis were extremely useful as they were the fiercest of fighters and most willing to shell the civilian populations of the Donbass region who they looked upon as Russians to be eliminated by one means or another. These regimes who took over the political system of Ukraine that had previously elected presidents and governments who reflected the entire population of Ukraine saw their task as fighting only for the Ukrainian-speaking population. Those who spoke Russian and any source that communicated in Russian were to either be banned or heavily suppressed and if possible, driven out of existence.

For the best part of a decade the Russian-speaking majority in eastern Ukraine were relentlessly shelled by the Ukrainian army who had incorporated the fierce Nazi-loving west Ukrainians who had been at the centre of the insurrection and coup in Kiev. To those bombarding the apartment blocks, schools, hospitals and town centres of the Donbass the people there were subhumans, Moskals as they called them. Russians to be eliminated whether man, woman or child. None of this was reported by news outlets of the West now firmly behind the demonisation of Russia as the cause of all evil.

To NATO this is a war to survive. Left without any true reason to exist after the cold War ended there were too many reasons for its high command to wish to stay relevant and continue to exert its power. Nation after nation joined the alliance that had been formed to counter the Soviet Union. Closer and closer to Russia’s borders it came despite protestations among many high-ranking officials across the West. Due to the insistence of George W. Bush despite protestations by Angela Merkel and others it was announced at the NATO summit in Bucharest in 2008 that both Ukraine and Georgia would join. As the man who now heads the CIA said at the time, this was the reddest of red lines for Russia.

For the USA and Britain a mythology of greatness, superiority and exceptionalism has developed since WWII which has imbued their reaction to the refusal of Russia to accept Ukraine in particular joining NATO. The fervour of their support for Ukraine and negation of any semblance of good reason in Russia’s stance echoes the kind of rhetoric seen during the fight against the Nazis. The same attitude of their being totally good as well as their Ukrainian allies and the Russians being totally bad is clear. This is ‘war mode’ when only a black and white analysis of a conflict is allowed and any deviation from this mode is shunned and attacked. That Russia might have reason to act as it is doing and reasonable intentions, is anathema. No middle ground is allowed to exist.

The blindness of the rhetoric used by the western powers and their media along with the complete absence of diplomacy augers very ill as anyone can see. No quarter is to be given, no understanding applied, not even a thought process that might generate understanding. Nothing.

In Zelensky we see a mirroring of Hitler’s stance throughout WWII, especially in his disallowing any retreat by his army from Stalingrad when it was caught in the firm grip of the Russian winter. That army suffered every possible extreme and subsequently surrendered. Frostbite ate at their extremities, food was scarce, to the extent that any flesh was eaten, including human flesh. Out of fuel and ammunition their only hope for survival was to surrender or be captured. Hitler refused all requests that they be allowed to retreat. The same mindset can be seen in Zelensky throughout this war. Anti-surrender squads who are in fact death squads force the Ukrainian troops to remain at their positions no matter what as Zelensky voices fantastical tales of victory.

The parallels are many with the second world war, however in the case of being on the right or wrong side there is no such parallel. The western powers have chosen to aid the oppressors of the Russian-speakers of the Donbass, they have sided with the modern day Nazis who have acted since 2014 with the utmost criminal cruelty. They have provided weapons to men who bear swastika tattoos and who have sworn to effect a genocide against all Russians, including those of the Donbass. Instead of allying themselves with the powers of good against Hitler’s Nazis they have allied themselves with those who honour Hitler and his Nazis and who seek to perpetrate a genocide in the Donbass.

Watch any documentary series on the second world war and you cannot help to recognise the similarities between then and now. A Russia defending herself as she defended herself during WWII is a target for western neocons, little better than Nazis themselves who seek to undermine and break her up. Is it any wonder that Russia has chosen to engage her enemies and is now resolutely seeking to defeat them as a matter of existential necessity? There can be no doubt that as in the second world war that Russia will prevail. She must, the alternative is to see the Russian nation undermined and broken in pieces. No Russian is going to stand for that. Neither to live in fear. The lessons of WWII, or ‘The Great Patriotic War’ as the Russians call it are too fresh and the warnings too loud to ignore.

Therefore, these various sides in this war, the Russians, NATO, the USA, UK and EU, and the Russia-hating western Ukrainians are locked in this struggle to the death. Only one side can win and the other be totally defeated and humiliated. As with WWII the side that has most to lose will fight with most vigour and the side with largest and most powerful resources will win. That side is clearly Russia and as with WWII those with the most self-sacrificing and noble aspirations and cause worth fighting for will win. And that side, without a shadow of a doubt, is Russia.

ZELENSKY, AUTHOR OF HIS OWN DEMISE… AND JUST POSSIBLY OF HIS ENTIRE NATION

What we have seen from the Ukrainian president in his constant interference in Ukrainian battle plans has more to do with theatre for the western powers' consumption than valid battle tactics. (The correspondence with the interference by Adolf Hitler in WWII is worthy of some attention.)

The western powers control the purse strings, without the financial support of western nations the entire edifice of Ukrainian opposition to Russia crumbles and falls. Therefore, Zelensky, almost since the very start of this conflict has been concerned with making a show of things for the westerners. However, his ability to make any kind of show of things is fast reducing. His options are far fewer now.

The barefaced lies of previous times won't prove effective now. Russia is fast gaining total ascendancy right across the battlefront and not only there. The Russian economy is robust and expanding, more and more nations are showing just how much they trust Russia as an ally as opposed to the USA and others in the West who have proven to be the most fickle of friends and who are now very little short of being seen as outright enemies.

Zelensky can do nothing. The die is set for him. He cannot relent and allow negotiations. If he does this the Nazi-mentality extremists in Ukraine will find a way to off him and perhaps his whole family. He knows this. So he cannot do what is necessary. But also he appears unwilling to let go of power. Therefore, he MUST be removed by one means or another... before Ukraine ceases to be a viable state in any form.
The end is coming for Zelensky, one way or another, and perhaps for the very existence of the nation known by the name Ukraine.

It may well be that Zelensky had no other decent cards to play. Elected on a platform of bringing peace to the conflict in eastern Ukraine he almost immediately betrayed all who had voted for him. The events which persuaded him to do this may one day be known, however to this day we do not know them. Most likely he was told in no uncertain terms by the most bloodthirsty ideological militants in western Ukraine that to do so would bring his speedy demise. It is difficult to see what other factors, other than, as we have perennially seen through the conflict, the influence of the Americans and their chief ally, Britain.

Zelensky must surely have known he was on a hiding to nothing no matter WHICH way he jumped. The safest option in those early months of his presidency when faced with very real threats against his life was to abandoned all thoughts of being a peacemaker and get in line with all the voices stridently advocating more war. From that time to since he has not varied from a stance of some fantastical and absolutist victory over Russia. This will have pleased the most bloodthirsty and hateful but ultimately it will seal his demise. The Ukrainian army, no matter how much weaponry they received from western sponsors was NEVER going to defeat a Russia fighting for its security in the face of not only the NATO threat, not only the desire of western Neocons to weaken it and carve it up, but also from a belligerent next door neighbour that included as its most influence, a vast mass of Nazi-mentality militants swearing avowed allegiance with actual Nazis of WWII.

It can be seen that Zelensky is in the unenviable position of being between the veritable rock and a hard place. You may say, why didn’t he simply resign the presidency when he saw it was a poisoned chalice, drop out of politics altogether and go back to being a comic actor and entertainer. Why not indeed. But this overlooks what must have been immense pressures for him to stay the course. An entire political party now looked to him to lead them, many of them his colleagues from his career in television. Was he to simply abandon them and the party that depended upon him as its figurehead. No, quitting and trying to regain his former life was a forlorn enterprise that he is bound to have recognised as such.

But the end is nigh as they say. His peak of popularity across the western world peaked many months ago now. Now he traipses across the world as a lonely and rather forlorn creature, with his political peers finding him more and more of an embarrassment and not the “hero” he was made out to be not so long ago. Success is attractive, abject failure is most decidedly not. Ukraine’s pre-lauded summer offensive achieved extremely little at the cost of more than one hundred thousand Ukrainian lives. Those minuscule gains are now being swallowed up again by a Russian army incrementally moving forward. Zelensky has nothing, or very close to nothing, to crow about. His exhortation to the Ukrainian army to take 500 metres every day was a sick joke on the day he demanded it and an even sicker joke now.

Zelensky is essentially a dead man walking. He is dead but not quite ready to lie down. All around him are intrigues and mysterious deaths. And his time for disappearing from the stage of history is surely coming, after which he will appear as a historical footnote accounting for his brief rise and precipitous fall, almost Shakespearean in its tragic nature but all too readily associated with the folly that comes with every theatrical farce.

UKRAINE’S DEFEAT & WESTERN RESPONSE: MORE FAKE NARRATIVES & THE MEMORY HOLE

Even as some 500 to 1,000 Ukrainian troops die or are severely injured each day that dawns western “news” outlets continue to attempt a misinformation campaign to put a positive spin on things.

And of course it is not only the level of attrition concerning the Ukrainian military that points to the inevitable conclusion of this conflict, the proof of the final outcome comes in the form of steady territorial gains across the battle lines in eastern Ukraine. There is no stalemate as western audiences are told. There are incremental Russian gains, day after day after day.

Of course it is hardly surprising that western mass media continues its stance of portraying the conflict in Ukraine the way it does, constantly disseminating a rosy picture of Ukrainian victory and Russian defeat. Though it must surely have been clear to each commentator and editor for many months now if not for the entire progress of the war, that Russia was never going to be defeated, still they saw it as “their job” to keep western spirits up. Winning in Ukraine is an existential task for Russia. Its security in perpetuity rests on its winning against the forces arrayed against it. Russia simply CANNOT afford to lose, and will not.

No one should have been in any doubt concerning the resolve of the Russian state and people in regard to the security of the Russian state. The historical record regarding Russia’s defence of her borders and population should have been enough to tell any intelligent observer that Russia and its people would do everything it takes to ensure all threats to them were nullified and nullified completely.

The argument in the West goes that NATO is a benign organisation that is only there to defend, not attack. It is never made clear to anyone how the NATO attacks on Serbia and Libya align with this assertion. This level of misdirection, misinformation and barefaced lying has characterised so much of the western political and media approach to both Russia and Ukraine. Assertions of untruths and blindness toward realities such as the incessant shelling by Ukrainian forces of Russian-speaking civilians for almost a decade, have characterised a western approach totally lacking in objectivity, integrity or anything approaching even-handedness.

However, having said all of the above, the awful truth delivered by an undeniable reality is now slowly being forced upon western commentators. The sham reality that they have bathed western populations in with thousands of misleading and partial reports is now collapsing and becoming increasingly impossible to sustain. Russia is inexorably grinding the Ukrainian forces down and, with vastly greater resources in both men and machines Russia will demonstrate this fact increasingly over these winter months.

Ukrainian troops are demonstrating their utter misery on the front lines. A significant number have been  captured suffering from frostbite, even now as the winter season is only starting. As the merciless cold of this region intensifies it is certain that poorly equipped Ukrainian troops will signal their desperate state in even more of the videos that are now beginning to proliferate. The Russian onslaught will inevitably increase significantly in the coming months as stockpiled missiles are brought into play in a surge forward that will surely make it absolutely clear to every western propagandist out there that they have failed abjectly in their task.

The people of the USA, of Europe and of the United kingdom are about to be awakened from their induced slumber of wishful thinking concerning Ukraine, Zelensky and the status of the Russian military. Eyes are about to be opened wide across the West. Even now western political and media elites are readying alternative narratives with which they hope to snow their audiences. They will most likely say that because Russia did not take all of Ukraine it failed. They will try to make the case that the Ukrainian regime and its ragtag army were heroic and staved off the Russian onslaught bravely. All manner of soft-soap explanations will be used to sanitise the defeat being suffered and negate the massive extent of damage for the West and its military tool, NATO.

Will the next waterfall of western lies, obfuscations and narrative spin be effective? Hardly. Too many have now looked deeper than the western headlines and wishful thinking imbued videos on YouTube. The stark reality of the Russian victory against ALL the western nations arrayed against it will be completely obvious for those with eyes to see and minds to digest the facts. Russia will have won her security in perpetuity, the Russian-speaking populations it fought so hard for will be free to preserve all aspects of their lives most important to them without fear of attack and with the knowledge that their children will be safe again for all time to come. Russia will achieve her every goal. Ukraine will again become a neutral land, increasingly a normal neighbour as she dispenses with the extremists who took power in 2014 and votes in those who will rebuild the nation in good relations with ALL her neighbours.

Russia has spent much blood and treasure in this war, just as she did against the Nazis so long ago. She will never allow the Nazi-mentality brood who hatched in the years since world war two in Ukraine to ever find a way to threaten her again. The Ukrainian army will be reduced to a rump, consigned to barracks or in ceremonial roles. Those who presided over the vast, tragic, debacle of the last decade in Ukraine will be pilloried across all Ukrainian media and those who abused their power in such a despicable manner in those years will either be jailed or be exiled.

Russia was always going to win this. Its national security depended upon it. All those who acted in an attempt to halt that existential goal of the Russian state and people were deluding themselves all along. The outcome above was ALWAYS inevitable and those who attempted to naysay that outcome were either deluded to the nth degree or mere well-paid automatons for the mass media lie machine that creates western so-called news. This outcome will now be seen in stark detail and be impossible to hide… but we all know how these presstitutes work by now, they will do their utmost to spin it. And when they see this fails to be effective they will then go into amnesia mode, Ukraine, like Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya will simply be the next to be dropped into the western memory hole.

ZELENSKY, THE MONTHS AHEAD AND THE END OF THE WAR

The Zelensky regime is nearing its end. As with the ignominious end of all such regimes many features are being mirrored in reference to those of past downfalls. As was the case with the Nazi regime where Hitler and his cohorts sent out wet behind the ears youngsters to face the oncoming Red Army, Zelensky in his desperation does the same, and is sending women to die on the front lines also.

In the capital, Kiev, poisonings, attempted assassinations and intrigues of many kinds are almost a daily occurrence now. Power plays and cliques vie for the chance to unseat the virtual madman who insists on maintaining power and pushing ever more Ukrainians to fight to the death. The parallels with Hitler are obvious. Megalomania is the order of the day with Zelensky insisting he knows best, demanding the Ukrainian army take 500 metres of territory per day when the reality on the ground is of mass Ukrainian deaths and loss of ground.

The latest rumour is that Zelensky has sent the military commander of Ukrainian forces a letter saying he should hand in a letter of resignation and that he has been told by return that he will not and that if Zelensky sacks him he, Zelensky, will bear the consequences. Meanwhile, over one thousand Ukrainian troops died or were seriously injured across the battle lines yesterday alone. The top players argue over who is responsible with Zelensky, who has insisted he overrule his generals at every step, seeking to shift the blame to them.

In Washington the game appears to be up. Republican politicians seem to have had enough of throwing away ever more billions on a lost cause. Even the prospect of enriching their sponsors within the U.S. military industrial complex as usual is failing to entice them to vote more money into the Ukrainian black hole. This bodes very ill indeed for those Ukrainian elites who have enriched themselves immensely due to this money flow over the last near two years. It leaves Zelensky in the most precarious position ever. Failed counteroffensive, increasing Russian gains, ever more deaths of Ukrainian troops, an economy in free fall and now the prospect of the U.S. money tree dying.

The nation of Ukraine is on life support. The USA and EU are paying for everything and have been doing so almost since the conflict began. Every government and military salary is being paid by U.S. and EU taxpayers. This along with the vast flows of money going to U.S. and EU defence industry contractors to build up depleted stocks of armoury and ammunition. Without the billions from enforced largess across North America and Europe the tenuous grip on viability in Ukraine will fail. What awaits then but chaos? And the usual scramble to win power among all those waiting in the wings to profit from such periods.

Zelensky squats atop all this potential mayhem. No amount of self-deluding wishful thinking and increasingly fantastical exhortations to his sponsors that Ukraine will win and they MUST keep supporting him will avail him of anything but the rise of even more scornful responses. He has been living on the fantasies that his elite sponsors have sought to promote about him for their own purposes thus far. But for how much longer? The project to weaken Russia through Ukraine has failed and failed utterly. In fact the effect has been to weaken the West as a whole and in particular Ukraine’s neighbours in Europe.

The situation is dire. We witness daily the absolute scandal of the entire debacle that has been cynically pushed by western elites incessantly for the past 22 months and more, in fact for the past 10 years, since the Kiev coup in 2014. The comeuppance of those responsible approaches closer every day that dawns now. Biden will fall. Sunak will fall. A risible panoply of criminal political elites across Europe will fall with them. It is only a matter of time. The judgement of European and north American populations will be merciless on those who have squandered so much and sent so many young men to their deaths in this failed project.

Will Zelensky be the first of this sorry batch of failures to go? It is very likely. Will he find refuge and security somewhere soon? Quite possibly. Where? Previously perhaps in Israel, but this is much less likely now considering the present situation there. In the USA perhaps? Or in one of the many multi-million franc villas that high-level Ukrainians are purported to have bought in Switzerland? In one of the latter most likely, at least temporarily until some even more secure, secret and less easily identified location is found.

And what of those who remain in Ukraine when this is all over, those who have been forced to accept the totalitarian demands of their so-called democratic politicians? What of them? Reduced to near abject poverty by successive Ukrainian regimes who led them, instructed by others far distant from their borders, into a war that could never be won. Those sponsors of Zelensky who once opined in glowing terms about their nation and leader will now fall suddenly silent. The mass media of sponsors’ nations will find that other topics than Ukraine suddenly interest them far more. The hapless Ukrainians who will now endure seeing the territory taken by Russia thrive. The recriminations will be extreme… but heard only within the vacuum that has become poverty-stricken western Ukraine.

Abandoned universally, except for some few do-gooders within the European Union, west Ukraine will sink far below the interest of most. Many of this now impoverished nation will migrate east to the Russian Federation in all her forms, there to find a new life. Those who stay will find, at best, that mega-corporations of the EU will use them as virtual slave labour, their in-country industries and companies will be taken over, their management and owners replaced by German, French or North American substitutes. West Ukraine at best will be touted as a great place to find cheap labour and increased profits that flow by majority out beyond its borders.

What will happen within the political scene of this new, defeated Ukraine? Most likely the population will seek out those who promise a new and normalised relationship with Russia. The necessity to come to terms with their increasingly rich neighbour will make this process inevitable. The radicals who exhort others to keep up the fight and encourage acts of sabotage and military attacks on Russia and Russians will gradually be given the cold-shoulder out of hard necessity and absolute weariness of war, war and more war. Ukraine will slowly rise over a painfully long period and through many political and social upheavals to, in time, become just another reasonably normal nation and docile trading nation for all those around it.

Russia was always going to achieve her goals. To not to do so was always unthinkable. Her security in perpetuity demanded it. And so it will be. And so will the ignominious disgrace of all those who made that process so unconscionably painful and tragic to a depth not seen since the end of World War Two. When it is all over we will all see and be able to understand everything. Most importantly we will all see the indescribably irresponsible litany of lies delivered incessantly by western media and political elites, about Vladimir Putin, about Russia and about Ukraine. The cleansing of all those lies will take time. A shocked western populace will be loath to believe their leaders could be so untruthful. But the historical record will be plain to see and even the most partisan believer will eventually realise the full magnitude that these deceptions created.

After all is said, all is done and the shouting has finally stopped.., the world will move on and hopefully, before very long, we will have a truly multipolar world where obscenities such as the western-instigated war in Ukraine can never, ever happen again.

ZELENSKYY, AND THE LONG ROAD FROM 2014 TO THE FINAL CONCLUSION OF CONFLICT IN UKRAINE

Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy may feel he had greatness thrust upon him as the saying goes. At least this is what he most likely thought at first, in the first flush of his electoral victory over the then president, Poroshenko. Earlier than this he had been picked out by his sponsor for future ‘greatness’ by Ukrainian oligarch and billionaire, Ihor Kolomoiskyy who ran the TV channel that featured the series that brought Zelenskyy the fame required to elevate him to the presidency. Ironically, Kolomoiskyy who masterminded Zelenskyy’s rise to become not only Ukraine’s favourite but also that of the western political elite, has been banned from entry to the USA along with all members of his family.

Zelenskyy has not had an easy ride as president. Having been elected on the back of the TV series where he played the part of an anti-corruption president of Ukraine, ‘Servant of the People’ along with a promise to end the fighting in the Donbass region of south-eastern Ukraine and patch things up with Russia, he soon found that delivering on his words was to be impossible. A confrontation with the most extreme of Ukrainian’s Nazi-mentality militia’s in the Donbass on a visit there soon after his election as president was one indication among what were surely many that Zelenskyy would never be allowed to realise his electioneering goals there. There can be little doubt that he was warned that if he tried to do so he and his family would not be long for this earth.

So it was that Zelenskyy made an about turn in regard to all his fine words concerning peace and reconciliation with Russia and greater rights for the Russian-speaking majority in the Donbass. Instead of being the peacemaker he would opt for being a warmonger. This is when he began wearing a pseudo-military uniform and growing his supposedly manly-looking beard. That particular pose he has continued to adopt from that time to this. In coordination with Merkel of Germany and Hollande of France he began to engage in the successful duping of Russia during the meetings which discussed and purportedly sought to have implemented the Minsk accords.

The Minsk accords were mean to iron ought a path toward peace and reconciliation between those who had assumed the leadership of the two new republics in the Donbass that had arisen in response to the violent takeover of power which had occurred in Kiev in 2014. These efforts continued all the way from 2015 to 2022 with Russia seeking to see the accords implemented which would solve the outstanding issues between both sides. The goal was to bring about a situation whereby the two republics would remain within the Ukrainian nation but with enhanced self-determination. To all intents and purposes Russia appears to have been sincere in attempting to bring this outcome about. The seven year effort to do this however had not achieved the success sought for.

Apparently completely unknown to the Russian side Merkel and Hollande, along with Zelenskyy and Poroshenko before him, had never had any intention of bringing the Minsk accord goals about. As has been now admitted by both Merkel and Poroshenko, the true goal which they adhered to throughout was to give the Ukrainians the time to build up their armed forces and military defences. During the years 2015 to 2022 everything possible appears to have been done to effect these goals, including significant input by NATO officials and forces. For example, Ukrainian forces began training alongside NATO troops and these coordinated events were most certainly only the tip of the iceberg.

During the years 2015 to 2022 a constant daily barrage of mortar shells and missiles were directed by the Ukrainian army to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of the Donbass. Between those years approximately 15,000 deaths occurred, most of them (by OSCE records) having occurred as a result of the Ukrainian army bombardment. Despite the existence of short periods of ceasefire these attacks continued right through the period of the Minsk accord talks with no apparent effort by the United Nations, OSCE or Zelenskyy to halt the bombardment in light of these talks.

During the latter part of the era of Minsk accord talks Zelenskyy began talking of restoring Ukraine’s nuclear status along with a steady increase in his anti-Russian rhetoric. Meanwhile, toward the end of 2021 and into the first two months of 2022 the OSCE registered a significant rise in the level of shelling by Ukrainian forces of the two republics. In addition, it was announced by the Russian authorities that Ukrainian plans for a major attack upon the two republics had been found. It was in this period that the two republics formally asked the Russian Federation for assistance and, on the 21st of February 2022, Russia recognised the DPR and LPR as sovereign states. Three days later Russia’s ‘Special Military Operation’ was launched to bring pressure on the Ukrainian authorities to finally bring into effect the goals of the Minsk accords.

Russian troops entered Ukraine in a number of locations, including a force that rapidly formed near to the Ukrainian capital. It was within weeks of this that Russia called on the Ukrainian authorities to engage in negotiations to come to a peace settlement.

‘The first meeting was held four days after the start of the invasion, on 28 February 2022, in Belarus. It concluded without result, with delegations from both sides returning to their capitals for consultations. A second and third round of talks took place on 3] and 7 March 2022, on the Belarus–Ukraine border, in an undisclosed location in the Gomel region of Belarus. A fourth and fifth round of talks were respectively held on 10 and 14 March in Antalya, Turkey.’ (Wikipedia)

‘Peace talks and the stability of international borders were further discussed in the Ukrainian parliament during the week of 9 May. Following the 2022 Ukrainian eastern counteroffensive, Russia renewed calls for peace talks. Ukrainian leaders refused to reopen dialogue…’ (Wikipedia)

In the final round of peace talks in Istanbul it appears that major progress was made with both sides making compromises. Work remained to be done but it is now clear from statements made by both sides that most major issues had been resolved. Russia’s main insistence was that Ukraine would never join NATO. Along with this Russia required special status, delivering a degree of autonomy, be granted to both Donetsk and Lugansk republics. In addition there was to be demilitarisation and denazification of Ukraine.

In April 2022 Boris Johnson arrived in Kiev for talks with Zelenskyy that brought any hope of a peace agreement to an end.

‘Top Ukrainian politician and presidential advisor David Arakhamia added a seventh confirmation that a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine was agreed in principle in March 2022 that was later shot down by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The parliamentary leader of Zelenskiy's ''Servant of the People'' confirmed on November 24 in an interview that internationally mediated negotiations in Istanbul had produced an agreement to bring the fighting in Ukraine to an end.

“[The Russians] were ready to end the war if we accepted neutrality like Finland once did. And we would make a commitment that we would not join Nato. When we returned from Istanbul Boris Johnson came to Kyiv and said: “We will not sign anything with them at all and let’s just go to war,” Arakhamia said.’

Since all formal negotiations between the two sides ended in those early months of 2022 they have not resumed. Western spokespersons have stated that the conditions have not been right for such talks and that this would remain the case until Ukraine had achieved successes on the battlefield that would guarantee a better bargaining position at such talks. In the period between April 2022 and Boris Johnson’s intervention and now we have had the failed Ukrainian offensive of June 2023 which has only very recently been acknowledged as a failure by Zelenskyy. Russia has continued to make incremental gains and Ukrainian military losses have continued to be high in a range between 400 and 800 casualties per day.

In spite of the ever darkening outlook for Ukraine Zelenskyy has continued in unrelenting style to call for ever more war and has shown no sign whatsoever that he favours any restarting of peace negotiations. Currently, as of Tuesday December 5th he is on yet another visit to the USA to seek further funding for Ukraine’s armed forces in respect of weaponry for both offence and defence. On the 6th of December there will be a vote in the U.S. Senate on whether yet another tranche of financial aid will be given Ukraine and how many billions of dollars it will constitute.

With Ukraine clearly losing this conflict, becoming ever weaker while Russia becomes stronger (Ukraine has lost most of its professional military and is increasingly relying on partially trained younger, older and female conscripts and has immense problems maintaining enough munitions for its weaponry while Russia has thousands of volunteers joining its forces each month and has expanded its munitions and weaponry deliveries several times over) the levels of attrition being felt by Ukraine can only increase. There must surely come a point, even with another tranche of finance from the USA, that it becomes clear that Russia will not be defeated and that its demands MUST be met. At this point we are likely to see a terminally weakened Ukraine and Zelenskyy.

Will the leaders of the Ukrainian armed forces make the final decision regarding capitulation or will it be Zelenskyy. The most likely outcome is the former given the absolute reluctance at any point for Zelensky to advocate accommodation of Russian demands. If the high command of the Ukrainian army do bow to the realities of their situation and signal they can no longer be responsible for ever more casualties among the ranks of their troops what is Zelenskyy’s reaction likely to be?

If the track record of Zelenskyy since he switched from peacemaker to warmonger soon after taking on the presidency is anything to go by Zelenskyy will continue in the same vein even after the capitulation of the Ukrainian army, at least in terms of rhetoric. Like Hitler during WWII he will likely take this down to the wire, perhaps not quite as a far as Hitler but almost. His greatest fear is almost certainly from his own side, from the Nazi-mentality extremists such as those in the AZOV regiment ranks. The suspicion must be that he will continue to appear to be doing something to turn things around right to the final collapse of the Ukrainian armed forces. At that point he will likely continue to hope he can escape with his reputation for doing everything possible intact. He will hold onto the hope that the ultra-extremists of AZOV will spare him due to his taking it all the way down to the bitter end while still talking up victory and demanding that his forces continue fighting.

With fighting finally coming to a halt after the capitulation of the Ukrainian armed forces we will likely see Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy quietly disappear from the scene, removed by one means or another from public gaze. It is almost certain that he will receive assistance in this regard from the U.S. state department/U.S. intelligence services. All that will be left thereafter will be for Russia’s initial terms stretching back to the Minsk accords to be agreed along with new requirements as a result of territory taken in the interim. Western mainstream media will report in increasingly muted terms on all aspects of Ukraine just as it has regarding Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria in recent times. The long process of establishing a liveable existence across all areas involved in the near decade-long conflict will then begin.

WHO ARE THE MOST PROPAGANDISED PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET?

It’s supposed to be something that’s done to the captive audiences “over there”, those poor brainwashed souls who can never think straight and get their buttons pushed constantly to obey their evil, Machiavellian leaders. In the western world it’s different, or so many still believe. In the consciousness of most westerners the BBC and CNN tell them the truth and nothing but the truth. They believe this sincerely and will tell you so. Their television sets that they paid so much for that they view religiously MUST be delivering thoroughly vetted information. To think otherwise is to question, well… everything they have long assumed to be real. Havn’t they been told they live in the ‘free world’ where honest brokers run everything in all the top positions?

Now if you are one of that majority who believe implicitly in what you hear in your daily and nightly news broadcasts then you will say, yes, it’s true, we are blessed to live in part of the world that’s free of the brainwashing that comes through propaganda. But you WOULD say that if you were thoroughly brainwashed, wouldn’t you? All those years of trusting the BBC, of switching on to hear “the news” at six o’ clock or ten o’clock and innocently taking all that is said in and storing it as your daily diet of facts. Day after day and night after night for year after year after year. They wouldn’t lie to you. Would they? Unthinkable!

Do you compare what they say with other sources? No? Too busy. You don’t have the time or inclination. It’s all delivered on a plate. Why labour the point? Why waste time when your time is short enough already? The household accounts need attention, as do the kids, then there’s the nightly meal… and besides there’s that new film to fit in between other stuff. Who needs the aggravation of searching for confirmation or otherwise of what you’ve heard on the Beeb or CNN? Anyway, they are familiar, professionally made programmes that are as familiar as a visit to your local mall. What could be the problem?

Yet, in recent times, could it just possibly be that a few niggling doubts have started to filter through to your usually complacent consciousness? Was all you were told about Covid kosher? Looking at the situation in Ukraine weren’t you told for month after month that the Russians were being crushed? Funny that it looks very different now, isn’t it? And what about the current bloodbath in the Middle East and the role of the U.S. and UK governments in it? Aren’t you doubting just a little all those reassuring statements of support for Israel. Isn’t the supply of endless weapons to the Israelis with which to deliver ever more carnage making you think a little more and question a little more perhaps?

Careful now. You may be starting to doubt those who run not only the BBC and CNN but also those who they look up to as political leaders. You may begin to realise that all those years when you believed they were supplying the unvarnished truth they were in fact trimming their content to fit certain agendas and narratives. But perhaps you are casting such doubts aside as likely to cause you anxieties you don’t need when all your attention is needed for the practicalities and leisure activities that fill your day. But… but… just maybe these thoughts won’t be cast aside so easily. Once you begin to doubt what they are telling you those doubts may well fester and grow until one day it hits you in a moment of sudden enlightenment. The western world is in fact the most propagandised region on the planet. Its leaders as well as its news broadcasters are liars and Machiavellian tricksters, dirty tricksters… and that for years they have made a fool of you, duped you and made you their slave.

WHAT IS THE TRUE, ALMOST HIDDEN GENESIS FOR PERPETUAL GLOBAL INSANITY?

Who “knows best” in this world? Who are the new missionaries travelling around the world to “civilise” savages and tell them how they ought to live? Who are those who believe their interests are more important than anyone else's? Which people believe they are exceptional when others are not? Which believe they are superior and have a duty to make others live like them? Who are those who are causing 90% of the turmoil, death and destruction in this world?

A minority among us see it as their vocation in life to terminate that which offends them and replace it with something they have agreed among themselves is more fit and proper. They consider themselves as “doing good” by disrupting any status quo they deem unfit and instigating whatever chaos is necessary to replace it. They never seem to doubt themselves or their mission for a moment. They portray themselves as saints doing “God’s work” just as the missionaries who told the Africans to cover themselves and adopt western ways.

Much as the Nazis or Fascists who so believed in themselves that committing mass slaughter didn’t trouble their consciences at all there are currently people wearing crosses and swearing on the Bible who see no part of the world where war would be a problem. These are not priests or ministers of the church, these are politicians. Politicians in designer suits who appear to be respectable people to any casual observer. They speak in quite measured tones. But they wield influence that is utterly deadly.

No atrocity is to be seen as wholly bad by such people. If the result suits them then it will have been “worth it”. The end always justifies the means to such people. In public they will assume the mantle of fair-minded men and women who wouldn’t hurt a fly. Family men and women who went to the very best schools and universities, who served their countries to the best of their ability… apparently. They will smile for the camera and kiss babies at election time. They visit the required events and give convincing speeches. They will shake your hand warmly if you seem safe and presentable to them and their bodyguards.

Was it always so that these men and women acted as genesis to mass slaughter through history? The “benign” elites with a perfect public persona but who, when back within their private seclusion signalled their armed minions to do their evil bidding where thousands, or millions, died? Was it always such publicly empathetic and privately psychopathic individuals who wreaked havoc down the ages after gaining the power they required through such endless deception? Are they operating now in Israel, Ukraine, Whitehall and Washington? If there is terror, death, destruction and atrocity then they surely are.
