Things could not have gone in a better direction with a more positive outlook for our common global outlook if they had been planned that way.
The political elites of the western world have managed to create a fast-evolving situation that is stripping them of the last vestiges of what were already fast-fading powers.
By driving Russia into a corner and leaving no way out but the one she eventually took, the West opened a Pandora’s Box of indignities, humiliations and economic horrors for itself. And in so doing set in train an ever-faster movement toward a multipolar world.
The nations of the global south are observing the last weak hurrah of western aggression in respect of its largely now impotent reliance on threat and military means to get its way. The days when its threats meant something and delivered the required fear to get its way have been seen to dissipate steadily in recent years. The debacle in Afghanistan and the continuing disasters in Libya, Iraq and Syria have been more than enough to prove to the nations of the global south that they must find new exemplars of good governance. The self-seeking belligerence of the West will no longer hold others vulnerable to its commands.
Ukraine has been the final straw for nations that previously accepted the yoke of western dominance. More and more we see this yoke being thrown off with nations becoming free to choose for partners rather than predators. In recent years some of these nations stood up to what has been until recently the global cop. Cuba has been one of the bravest of these. Venezuela also. These nations show no sign of returning to where the western yoke lies, now abandoned, thrown off by a growing number of proudly sovereign nations.
China has long presented a far more equitable and sanely-based policy in regard to partner nations. No threats. No onerous demands. Only win-win solutions where cooperation, investment and mutually beneficial resource sharing occurs quite irrespective of the mode of governance involved. There is no sign whatsoever that China wishes to take the place of the global ogre. The era of domination from above is ending. The effectiveness of the previous modus operandi of the West, the arm-twisting, bribery and threat-based command structure is weakening now almost by the day.
Russia too continues to mirror the same attitudes as its Chinese partners in displaying tolerance for a diversity of political and ideological systems of governance, primarily interested in increasing the economic prosperity of all through trading relations exemplified by high levels of mutual respect and co-operation. All very much in contrast with the strong arm tactics of the West so despised, secretly or openly for so long now.
In Latin America more and more nations are rejecting the extremists who the USA prefer in power. A renewed ‘Pink Tide’ is on its way. In Europe too I predict we will see enormous political changes before too long. Macron in France is on shaky ground as are Scholz and his idiot colleagues. The geopolitical tectonic plates are shifting… and not in the West’s direction.
The level on mindless incompetence across the western world has been immense. This combined with the constant self-admiring, self-interested ego full desire to remain in power no matter the consequences for the populations of their countries. Together these factors have produced a disaster now unfolding which cannot help but bring these cretinous politicians crashing down as their citizens rise to eliminate the source of their woes.
And oh the irony. Like a fly caught in a spider’s intricate web, every movement the western powers make only gets them stuck ever more completely within a web where all exit routes produce conditions worse than those encountered before. This because those exit routes would require an admission of failure and inevitable disaster for every political reputation involved. So the status quo of interminable and unavoidable disaster continues to see deterioration within the most fundamental structures that made up the previously powerful West. They are condemned to do this to themselves. Quite fitting wouldn’t you say for those who lived on exploitation, belligerent threats and the ever-present promise of violence?
Goodbye to all that about sums up the attitude of the global south community of nations regarding the fading power of the West. And, well met to those nations known to offer friendship without strings, an honest handshake and a vision of a multipolar world at peace within their hearts.

THE WEST, DESPITE ITSELF, IS USHERING IN A MULTIPOLAR WORLD
Monday, 4 July 2022
RUSSIA WILL NOW DOUBLE DOWN WITH MOBILISATIONS, CRUSHING BOTH UKRAINE & THE WEST
The more territory Russia takes in eastern Ukraine the more industrial capacity local to the battlefield it accrues to itself as well as the railway network to transport it as well as additional troops and heavy weaponry.
An industrial mobilisation will soon be underway within Russia whereby the state demands from its industrial base the clothing and equipment needed for the general mobilisation required to ensure that the new regions Russia has acquired can be fully defended by adequate quantities of troops and materiel.
The taking of every part of the Donbass region will occur within weeks. It will then require to be adequately defended from attack. This is the reason for the requirement for the two staggered mobilisations mentioned above. Naturally the first step is to have the uniforms and equipment including all necessary weaponry and ammunition available, then the recruitment of those Russians who will perform largely guard duty in the Donbass.
While the Donbass becomes fully secured and protected this means that reconstruction efforts can be expanded in safety as well as enabling the freeing up of seasoned fighters to take part in new phases of Russia’s special operation. These new phases will have been planned ad hoc in response to the rejection of the Ukrainian regime to agree consultations leading to a final settlement.
Kiev’s negotiators began to take a realistic approach in the last meetings of the two sides in Istanbul and there was some optimism on the Russian side that things were moving in the right direction, that of a negotiated settlement and an end to conflict. However, this was not to be. Ukraine’s western sponsors, namely Boris Johnson, Joe Biden and other European leaders appear to have given Kiev an ultimatum. Stop the process of negotiations and we will provide you with the finances and weaponry to defeat Russia.
The defeat of Russia of course failed to take place and despite the ‘looking on the bright side’ take of the Ukrainian authorities and western mass media Ukraine has continued to lose both troops and increasingly more ground including major cities such as Izyum, Popasnaya, Severodonetsk and in the last few days Lysychansk. The days ahead appear to promise ever more Russian advances including the taking of the town of Sevirsk and Bakhmut and perhaps only a week or so later the fall of major cities, Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. Russian attention then will turn to dealing with the Ukrainian forces now making attacks on the civilian population of Donetsk City.
I see no reason why the process described above will be brought to a halt, especially as there are no signs that the weaponry from the USA, UK and EU nations is making any significant effect or impact. It is certainly not halting the Russian advance which is instead increasing in pace. The Ukrainian forces, already greatly weakened having lost the majority of their best, well trained and battle-hardened troops, and increasingly composed of unwilling conscripts, the partially-trained and middle aged and elderly men who are surely aware of their status as cannon fodder, cannot possibly have high morale.
If the scenario broadly painted above is true and if Russia has ever better access to fuel and industrial capacity near the primary battle lines, with reinforcements about to arrive in ever-greater numbers providing guard duty and enabling rest and recreation to Russia’s professional soldiers I think you can see where this is headed.
Russia was always going to bring its special military operation to a successful conclusion. Even with the financial and military backing of the West Ukraine was never going to find any way to resist in the long run. The western powers played a losing game from the start in rejecting the desperate need for a political, not military solution to the Donbass. Ukraine being in effect two nations in one, the Ukrainian-speaking west and the Russian-speaking east, needed a political settlement whereby peace could be assured along with the cultural, historical and social allegiances of each could be respected.
Both Ukrainian regimes since the West-fostered and supported ultra-violent insurrection against the democratically-elected president and government in 2014 set the stage for even more violence toward the Russian-speaking civilian population of the Donbass who sought to preserve their language and allegiances through a demand for autonomy. The West in conjunction with the Ukrainian regimes since 2014 have wrought a devastatingly irresponsible and utterly wrong-headed catastrophe upon the entirety of Ukraine ever since.
Now, still digging themselves ever deeper in the hole they have dug for themselves since 2014 both Ukraine and the entire western world will now be engulfed in a catastrophe where any positive end is increasingly hard to imagine.

UKRAINE: FABULOUS STORIES, WONDROUS FAIRYTALES & BELIEVABLE LIES
There is a saying, “You can’t turn a sow’s ear into a silk purse.” But the case of Ukraine is the exception that proves the rule. This along with the advice of an actual Nazi (not one of the wannabe Nazis found currently in Ukraine), “If you’re going to tell a lie, tell a big one.”
This is not a story about gullibility in any form except remotely and peripherally, regarding what could be described as over-willing data-acceptance by the heavily conditioned.
Cutting to the chase, this is about one side in the Ukrainian war being able to say whatever it likes: fact, fiction or fantasy to the news-bringers of the West and they run with it transmitting it verbatim, totally unchecked and unverified, to the reader, viewer and listener.
Essentially just about everything the present or earlier Ukrainian regimes have said must be taken with a barrow load of salt. This includes the constant refrain concerning various "successes" of the Ukrainian military (while it loses around 1,000 troops per day on the front line due to death or injury and is constantly losing territory to Russia).
Going back some years, to the president before Zelensky, Petro Poroshenko, the first president after the US-assisted insurrection brought down the last democratically-elected president, the porky pies came thick and fast. Usually they featured the numbers of Russian troops who were supposed to have invaded Ukraine. This total started around 1,000 but rapidly over the months (as more funds were required from the West) rose from that figure to 5,000, 10,000 eventually rising to some 50,000. In fact there was no hard evidence to prove that any presently-serving Russian troops were in Ukraine at all. This however, as with anything Ukrainian officials say, was duly transmitted as holy writ to a waiting western public.
In a previous commentary I attempted to provide a litany of such fables regarded as fact by western mainstream news providers and then used to produce fake news for public consumption. I will not repeat myself here but rather look at the history of this process in the period just before it began to be used in Ukraine in 2014.
The most clear evidence of this process being used in recent times is in Syria where it was honed to near perfection as an almost airtight propaganda production mechanism.
The steps used there were as follows:
1. Set up what appears to be a wholly innocent institution with an idealistic cause. (In the case of Syria this was the entity known as ‘The White Helmets’. In Ukraine the equivalent is constituted by successive Ukrainian regimes, post 2014.)
2. Create a network of activists who use the material generated by the front line propaganda team and establish all necessary contacts with mainstream news entities for the delivery of believable and semi-believable lies. (In Syria there were many who took advantage of the same money stream afforded The White Helmets, primarily from the UK Foreign Office and US State Department. In Ukraine the activists are all those feeding from those same two sources.)
3. Through this fast-flow conduit “facts” can be delivered in a constant stream to the serried ranks of western mainstream news outlets some of whom require a 24/7 service to bring content to their viewers, listeners and readers.
Two other services have a part to play in all this, they being the National Endowment for Democracy who are the main front providing funding ostensibly to ‘promote democracy’ but in fact they are in truth a facade behind which stands the CIA. The CIA also plays an active part of course, creating fake news or ‘encouraging’ it in newsrooms tempted toward actuality rather than fabrication. The NED and the CIA are in fact one single entity with a totally fictitious dividing line between them.
Psychological Operations (PsyOps) are what we see all across the western world and this situation has been a constant over at least the last three decades. Television, radio, newsprint and the internet are used as instruments of mass deception in what is considered by western elites to be their duty to manipulate public perceptions in dangerous times (for the western elites).
The elites of the western world are power junkies losing their fix. Why wouldn’t they use the power of media to manipulate the masses? It is a no-brainer in more ways than one do you see?
The western world is one big fantasy factory now and within that fantasy factory there exists a humongous bowl of propaganda soup which half-blind humans constantly swim within. Little by little they imbibe unreality until it becomes second nature. Then, from above and from every side they are fed fabulous stories, wondrous fairytales and believable lies.
WILL RUSSIA DECLARE WAR ON UKRAINE?
You may recall that Russia issued a stern warning to Kiev that if it persisted in targeting locations within Russia it would in turn begin targeting control and decision-making centres within Ukraine. It has not done so until now as the Russian leadership has not declared war on Ukraine, contrary to what is perhaps the opinion of most regarding Russia’s actions since February 24th. The Russian leadership certainly does not categorise its actions in Ukraine as constituting a war.
This is not merely sophistry. As most insightful observers will confirm, Russia has not been conducting a full blown war against Ukraine despite the lurid tales that western mass media has regaled readers and viewers with since Russia’s campaign began. The Russian military has taken care to limit civilian casualties and significantly has not till now targeted vital infrastructure. If the U.S. approach in the Iraq war is compared with the situation in Ukraine the difference between the approaches can easily be seen.
Russia had many reasons to spare the lives of the civilian population in the Donbass region. The most important is of course the fact that the majority of civilians there are Russian-speaking and very much pro-Russia in outlook with strong loyalties to Russia on a generation to generation basis and very much enhanced by still strong memories of being liberated by the Red Army in world war two. However, Russia has no similar incentive to spare the lives of those Ukrainians who live in the west of Ukraine, especially not those who are virulently anti-Russian in outlook.
Even as described above Russian forces have not sought out Ukrainian civilians in western Ukraine as targets for attack, neither has the Russian high command ordered the destruction of vital infrastructure in western Ukraine. Electricity, gas and internet provision still operates as before as does much else that in these modern times comprises the basic essentials of life. In the same way Russia is not targeting the Ukrainian political elite or its decision and control centres. This is because Russia is not at war with Ukraine.
So, under what circumstances WOULD Russia begin to consider declaring war on Ukraine and opening up the prospect of targeting those locations currently off limits?
I visualise a time coming very soon when Russia will essentially have completed its current operation in Ukraine, i.e. the entire Donbass region and some outlying regions, possibly encompassing Odessa are in Russian hands. At that point I would foresee Russia ending its attacks upon targets within what is left of Ukraine and inviting the Ukrainian political elite to talks. At this point I consider two possible scenarios to be most likely:
1. The Ukrainian elite refuses the invitation and swears to fight on to eject the Russian occupiers from all Ukrainian land taken by them.
2. The Ukrainian elite accepts without any intention of agreeing to Russian terms but as was the case at Minsk in 2015 and in the negotiations at the start of the present conflict, merely as a way of buying time.
Of course a third scenario is possible but I do not think there is any possibility it will be realised. This is that Ukraine accepts the invitation and agrees Russia’s terms.
In scenarios 1. And 2. Ukraine will, with the backing of its western allies, fight on. In scenario 1., without delay. In scenario 2. After some months, perhaps many, in which it re-arms and re-establishes its forces. In both cases acts of violence against what by that time will undoubtedly be the Russian Federation, the republics and other regions having become part of Russia. These acts of violence will inevitably be of various kinds including subversion behind the new Russian lines and cross-border attacks.
Recalling Russia’s threats against the Ukrainian political elites if they persisted in targeting locations within Russia, this is the scenario whereby the Russian leadership will have its hand forced into declaring war on Ukraine. At this point the number and type of targets in Ukraine will be expanded to include categories listed above, decision and control centres, vital infrastructure including internet access and much more. A full scale war waged against Ukraine is something that has not been seen to date and will devastate what is left of Ukraine.
Especially hard hit would be nodes of central command, including those where western and NATO expertise are located. All transport networks would be targeted, not just those suspected of transporting weapons. Storage depots of all types, not simply those having known association with the Ukrainian military. Electricity and gas infrastructure would become targets, the flow of gas flowing through Nord Stream 1 would certainly be cut off. As was talked of when the USA waged war against Iraq, a collapsing of vital infrastructure would be sought to almost take the country ‘back to the Stone Age’.
If Ukraine attempted to negotiate entry to NATO at any point after Russian announces the end of its special military operation this would also signal a possible declaration of war by Russia on Ukraine.
These are my forebodings on what may occur if the present desire of the western elites to urge the Ukrainian political leadership to fight on continues.
(Only a recognition by the Ukrainian people that an unwinnable war against Russia is in prospect resulting in a brave endeavour on their part to oust the present Ukrainian leadership and replace it with a Russia-neutral president and government can avoid this outcome I feel.)

UKRAINE: WHERE IS THE WEST GOING WITH THIS?
Russia is within a few months of attaining the goal of winning the long-term security of the embattled population of the Donbass who for eight years have been surrounded and attacked on a daily basis by Ukrainian forces. This operation by Kiev for all of these eight years since 2014 has gone largely unreported in the West. This has made for a situation where the majority of those living in the West have an entirely skewed concept of recent events in Ukraine where an entire section of the conflict’s history is unknown.
With the above in mind we can see that the political elites of the West have every opportunity to shape the Ukraine War in the minds of the majority of western citizens in the way they wish. Western mass media has done everything possible to enable this advantage, bringing a certain closed view that excludes any aspect of suffering experienced by the Russian-speaking population of the Donbass. With this advantage regarding the already established facade about the situation in Ukraine western elites can now push their agenda hard. But what will that agenda be?
In recent times we have seen a somewhat schizoid movement in elite western opinion from factions advocating ‘more war’ to a few advocating ‘negotiations for peace’. However, the question of which faction should win out appears to have been resolved among the neocon western elites. Those advocating ‘more war’ have clearly won out. Presumably this will remain the policy of the collective west from this point until the bitter end, however that should play out and with whatever consequences.
What consequences can we expect from the ‘more war’ consensus that appears to have been agreed upon?
With the imminent securing of the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine by Russia it appears likely that Russia will at least to some extent mobilise additional forces for its future defence. In addition it is likely that it will move at least partly toward a war economy with additional resources creating the weaponry and defence capabilities required to safeguard the Donbass region from inevitable future Ukrainian/Western attacks. The Donetsk People’s Republic and that of Lugansk along with the new regions secured by Russia’s special military operation will no doubt all become part of the Russian Federation before long. This will see the start of an entirely new phase.
Without doubt all that remains of Ukraine will be mobilised at this point to an even greater extent than before, underpinned entirely by western finance. Great effort will be expended to rebuild its military forces with every possible assistance from the West. What effect the ongoing deterioration in western finances makes regarding this is hard to estimate. However, having been stated at the recent NATO summit that waging war has the highest priority, it seems clear that all necessary finances will be made available.
We are moving it seems with ever greater clarity to a very stark reality where the current lines of conflict between east and west that now remain somewhat blurred become ever more acutely focused and subject to inevitable mission creep. This mission creep is already evident of course but in this situation where Russia’s border has been extended further west it is inevitable that the “border” of the collective west will abut it along a line of utmost friction, a fiery area of potentially constant provocation, subversion and cross-border attacks.
With the advent of such a situation as described above it is clear that Russia will not stand idly by. The likelihood of Russia formally declaring war on Ukraine is high. Given this eventuality Russia will then continue to target any and all military resources within Ukraine and those arriving from its western allies. This policy of degrading Ukrainian military assets and potentially decision making centres across Ukraine, including in its major cities, will reach a peak if any sign of Ukraine imminently joining NATO is discerned.
All in all the fateful decision of the political elites of the collective west to wage war and exclude the possibility of winning the peace through negotiations will, in my opinion, lead to something close to the scenario above and this I offer should instil a sense of foreboding in every human heart worldwide.

UKRAINE: ATROCITY PORN, SERIAL LIES & WESTERN PROPAGANDA
Whether the majority of the western world knows it or not the Ukraine war has been characterised by arguably the greatest number of lies ever conveyed as fact in any previous war. These lies have come in serial fashion from the Ukrainian regime and conveyed as fact via western mass media news outlets.
The first and most innocuous of these lies was the least harmful in its effects, serving only to bolster Ukrainian morale in the early days of the war. This was the fantasy portrayed as fact of a modern day version of Germany’s first world war hero Baron Manfred von Richthofen who was a German pilot eventually credited with 80 air combat victories. The fictitious Ukrainian version was given the moniker, ‘The Ghost of Kiev’ and was credited before his exposure as pure fantasy with shooting down 40 Russian aircraft.
Such stories have featured in many wars and, at their more innocuous level as above serve to bolster morale, both in the ranks and among the civilian population. However, there is a wider use for such tall tales where the goals are stretched far wider into the weaponizing of words to a degree where real impact is achieved on the other side.
In the USA the CIA has significant resources dedicated to creating believable lies to achieve such results. This can extend beyond simply having lies seeded in national newspapers and mainstream media news shows. Counterfeiting various items is also seen as an important element in the armoury of what are known as Psychological Operation teams (PsyOps for short.) These are also complemented by the Black Operations teams (BlackOps). Any kind of deceit that can lower enemy morale, heighten allied morale, degrade enemy influence or enhance allied influence that can be made believable will be used.
The techniques alluded to above have been used many times, stretching back many years, even to medieval times when for instance the lie that the Saracens were killing Christian babies and drinking their blood was used to recruit troops for the Crusades to “liberate” Jerusalem. More recently, during the Iraq war there were several instances, the most well known of them being the ‘Kuwaiti babies torn from incubators by Iraqi troops’ fabrication and the Jessica Lynch story which conjured up a fictitious daring rescue of said Jessica from the clutches of the Iraqis.
Coming up to present time we have had the most number of these “useful lies’ related in the shortest time frame ever over the last few months in the war that has raged in Ukraine. Each and every one of them including the latest that has featured in almost every mainstream news outlet over the last 24 hours were reported as if they were cut and dried obvious with no possible need for scepticism or investigation.
Note: In reading of the atrocities below please keep in mind that in all but one of the events below they took place in eastern Ukraine within the Donbass region and in all cases the casualties were Russian-speakers that the Russian campaign sought to free from what was strongly perceived to be oppressive and at times murderous Ukrainian subjugation.
In addition it should be kept in mind that the most radical members among the Ukrainian forces taking part in the conflict consider all Russian-speaking Ukrainians to be man, woman and child sub-humans, traitors to Ukraine, candidates for violent elimination or for ethnic cleansing from Ukraine.
1. The Mariupol Theatre
On 16 March 2022, the Donetsk Regional Drama Theatre in Mariupol, Ukraine was bombed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It was used as an air raid shelter during the siege of Mariupol, sheltering about 1,000 civilians, of whom about 600 were killed. (Wikipedia)
Though it is claimed that this atrocity was investigated no independent investigation was carried out to my knowledge.
‘A closer look reveals that local residents in Mariupol had warned three days before the March 16 incident that the theater would be the site of a false flag attack launched by the openly neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, which controlled the building and the territory around it.
Civilians that escaped the city through humanitarian corridors have testified that they were held by Azov as human shields in area, and that Azov fighters detonated parts of the theater as they retreated. Despite claims of a massive Russian airstrike that reduced the building to ashes, all civilians appear to have escaped with their lives.’
‘While the Russian military operation in Ukraine has triggered a humanitarian crisis in Mariupol, it is clear that Russia gained nothing by targeting the theater, and virtually guaranteed itself another public relations blow by targeting a building filled with civilians–including ethnic Russians.
Azov, on the other hand, stood to benefit from a dramatic and grisly attack blamed on Russia. In full retreat all around Mariupol and facing the possibility of brutal treatment at the hands of a Russian military hellbent on “de-Nazification,” its fighters’ only hope seemed to lie in triggering direct NATO intervention.’
More details here: https://mronline.org/2022/03/22/was-bombing-of-mariupol-theater-staged-by-ukrainian-azov-extremists-to-trigger-nato-intervention/
2. The Bucha Atrocity
The details of exactly what happened in the Kiev suburb of Bucha in late March-early April remain unclear. However, Russia was given the blame without question after the atrocity in which it is estimated around 1,000 civilians were summarily executed. It is known however that many wore white armbands and Russian military ration boxes were found in the vicinity of many victims.
I believe the truth of the matter is that after the Russian military left Bucha the Ukrainian forces who entered after them went door to door to locate those who had ‘collaborated’ with the Russian forces (took military rations for them and so forth) and quite possibly as in medieval witch hunts took the word of Ukrainian locals concerning who to apprehend and shoot.
I am aware of no motivation for the Russian forces to perpetrate these acts of inhuman violence against a population it was clearly supplying military rations to as an act of goodwill.
3. Missile attack on Kramatorsk Railway Station.
On the 8th of April 2022 at least one missile attack killed some 60 people who were gathered in the vicinity of Kramatorsk railway station with a view to leaving the city due to their fear of being embroiled in the fighting.
As with the Mariupol Theatre atrocity the word of Ukrainian activists and regime officialdom was accepted at face value. Once again it was almost endlessly repeated that ‘Russia did it’ though no one could offer a motive on the Russian side and the motive of Ukrainian radicals to do so was not seen as worthy of mention.
4. Maternity hospital, school and civilian home attacks.
It is known from video and still image evidence and also from the accounts of civilians that Ukrainian troops have been using civilian infrastructure as bases and fighting positions. In the case of the maternity hospital it is known that it had lain empty and unused for a lengthy period. In regard to schools, video is online showing both Ukrainian troops and weaponry within them. And on the question of using civilians as human shields video and still image evidence has revealed Ukrainian troops amidst civilian housing estates and there are images of notices placed on home and apartment doors that Ukrainian troops have the right to occupy them at a moment’s notice.
5. Kremenchuk Shopping Mall Atrocity
Ukrainian president Zelensky has said that 1,000 people were in the Kremenchuk shopping mall when it was set aflame by some unknown means on the 27th of June. Western mainstream media talk of between 10 and 18 victims however. Russia of course has received the blame once again across all western mainstream news outlets. As in all the cases above this is said merely due to the fact that Ukrainian sources say so. No evidence is supplied and no investigation called for. It is said however that the Google Maps website reveals that the mall has been closed for the past four months.
Update after UN Security Council debate:
‘Russia does not target civilians in Ukraine and did not strike the shopping center in Kremenchug, Moscow’s envoy to the UN told the Security Council on Tuesday. Ambassador Dmitry Polyanskiy said that the mall caught fire due to an explosion of Western-supplied weapons and ammunition, stored at the nearby factory and intended for the shelling of civilians in Donbass, making it a legitimate military target.’
‘“In reality, there was no strike on the mall,” Polyanskiy told the council, as Russia targeted a storage facility at the Kredmash factory next door. The weapons and ammunition stored there were bound for the front, where Ukrainian artillery was bombarding the civilians of Donbass as it had for years, to no objection from the UN, he added. “The Russian strike stopped that.”’
Again, in my firm view the hyperbole and exaggeration by Zelensky and the western mass media is yet another cynical disinformation device to increase the resolve of western nations to further bolster Ukraine’s war effort when there is evidence of it flagging. Of course there is also another explanation if the mall has been closed for four months now, that it has been used to store some of the weaponry and ammunition from the West or as a safe barracks for Ukrainian troops where their normal barracks are too readily spotted by drone for attack.
Are western audiences being swayed by the uniform blame game against Russia for all of the instances above where civilian populations have been either put at severe risk or have been massacred in large numbers. For me the events spoken of above exemplify the depth of cynical manipulation that has infested western wars for many years now but which have reached a fever-pitch level of total cynicism in the ongoing Ukraine war where the manipulation of human misery has reached its absolute nadir.
As was the case in both Iraq and Syria all western institutions, not merely its mass media, have been turned into war mode-pervaded organs of western state propaganda with the useful lies of activists instantly transformed to unquestioned and unquestionable fact in an instant. No scepticism applied, no investigation called for, simply a bald stating of the “facts” as provided by one side painting the other as evil incarnate.
Thus Russia, its president and the Russian forces (acknowledged even by western experts as having been careful NOT to cause civilian casualties or damage vital infrastructure) can be demonised by the entire elite western world acting as one.

THE WHEELS ARE RAPIDLY COMING OFF THE TOTTERING WESTERN WAGON
Yet the wagon masters whip the horses to an ever greater speed.
How many metaphors apply in this present circumstance where everything possible is going wrong that can go wrong across the western world?
There are quite a number apart from the one I used in the heading above.
There is of course the one about Nero fiddling while Rome burns.
More appropriately perhaps there’s the one about adjusting the chairs on the sinking Titanic.. to which we could add, perhaps more closely aligning with the present situation, a captain who sees the iceberg emerging from the gloom and shouts the command, “Full steam ahead!”
This final metaphor I’d say of the three, most closely portrays the crisis now unfolding across western states. But the degree of catastrophe now unfolding before us appears certain to transcend the capacity of mere words to encompass its effects.
And the worst of it is that those who are causing this ongoing disaster are determined to keep doing what they’re doing, without let or hindrance, ever-escalating their actions, completely uncaring apparently of what ultimately transpires to harm their populations.
Indeed, the leadership of the West appear to be gluttons for punishment. Every counterproductive measure followed by more Russian gains in Ukraine alongside an ever-declining economic outlook in the West is followed in turn by even more counterproductive measures. This is a vicious cycle leading to one inevitable end result, a western world bereft of its previous power and in hopeless disarray regarding its aim to become universal dictator in a unipolar world.
This while most of the world looks on aghast unwilling to help the collective west as it grasps for ever-thinner straws while it drowns in an economic and political morass of its own making.
The continual prodding of the Russian bear since at least 2007 and Vladimir Putin’s Munich speech is now having its inevitable result. This hapless quest, to foment a colour revolution in Moscow through endlessly ramping up pressure via Ukraine has resulted in an absolute humiliating debacle of enormous proportions for the entire western world. Previously its leaders were able to wield huge manipulative power over most nations. This ability has now quite obviously been lost as the global south as a whole refuses to any longer obey its strictures.
India is in open revolt against a western leadership that finally pushed its regime change program one stage too far. It and most others who were previously cowed by western power now recognise its oncoming demise, weakened by its own actions, hung on its own petard. They have no wish to slow that process and every incentive to speed it along.
Without the dictatorship of the West hanging constantly over their heads the nations of the world who have previously been treated as hapless minions in a western fiefdom can look forward to a multipolar world where they are treated as equals and with respect. The unipolar world that the western elites were intent on creating where they had total oversight and control held no benefits whatsoever for most nations who prided themselves on their independence as sovereign nations. Quite the opposite.
For the nations above the present downward course of the West can only be welcomed. This as the nations closest to their own hearts who are offering relationships of mutual respect and economic cooperation, Russia and China, offer a far brighter future prospect.
So there we have it.
The fast dying beast of the West hits out at “enemies” only perceived so due to its own mindless delusions… all the while only hurting itself and its now exceedingly tenuous prospects of survival.
And so we have yet one more apt metaphor regarding the present disastrous and wholly self-created disaster we see unfolding across the entire western world.
