WESTERN DELUSIONS OVER UKRAINE WILL FRAGMENT AS REALITY ASSERTS ITSELF

You can keep a certain storyline going for only so long and under certain conditions. We saw that in regard to Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria. Ukraine is next.

Currently the number of so-called experts and other commentators who are trotted out to sell their wares regarding the subjects of Russia and Ukraine on YouTube is still high. Google, the search engine a high percentage of western populations use, has long since modified their algorithms to place the pro-Ukrainian, anti-Russian YouTube videos and articles at the top of search results on these subjects. It is almost impossible to find any independent and objective analysis via Google or other readily available search engines. This produces a completely skewed array of opinion that in turn provides an overall picture that excludes a good half (and in fact much more) of the reality on the ground.

The situation above is self-perpetuating to a significant degree. Half the story (or in fact much less) constantly told, produces a certain effect in those watching or reading who are already inclined (through lack of knowledge) to wish to hear this kind of material. In other words, an existing prejudice based upon initial encounters through western mainstream news media creates a certain need for reinforcement. An opinion that one side is bad and the other good thrives on hearing that one is correct in the earliest assumption fed by entities such as the BBC or CNN. And what is the end result of all this constant reinforcement of a highly partial reality? In a nutshell, delusion, or at the very least an almost complete lack of skepticism.

It is quite surprising after the era of regime change wars and the justifications used for them (mostly useful fabrications if not outright lies) that we find ourselves in that skepticism appears to be in such short supply. After all, we are in the Information Age, are we not? Almost everyone has access to a near universal array of facts concerning just about anything under the sun… if you know where to look. There’s the nub. Do we look? Are we interested enough to look, to look at things in the round? Or are we generally more interested these days in finding the “facts” that fit our way of looking at things (as guided by the news media that permeates our lives)? How many of us eschew the headlines and take the time to dig deeper below and beyond them? Does it even reach 0.1% of us? Yet, if you ask most people they will have an opinion about the conflict in Ukraine, and often a very strong one, a dismissive one even.

Does the average person really want to know the facts even? Is there not a risk they will engender emotions which the average Joe and Jill would rather not have. Don’t blind me with facts they say. Just give me a headline that seems to make sense and a few paragraphs telling me how bad they are ‘over there’. Then I’ll be happy, satisfied that I know what’s going on and who to blame if the subject comes up in the pub or at the hairdressers. But overall let’s not talk about it. 

The deluge of anti-Putin, anti-Russian sentiment on YouTube, in newspapers, magazines and books has been incessant longer than some of us have been alive. What else are people to believe, lacking the curiosity to examine any accusations in detail, but accept all of it as fact on the basis there’s no smoke without fire and surely all these supposedly intelligent people can’t be wrong? That truly independent experts would tell them that they certainly can be is not something most people are going to realize unless they happen to be motivated to dig deeper than the latest headline. Headline surfers will certainly sleep well at night on the premise that ignorance is bliss. Or else, when the powers-that-be consider it necessary they can be fired up emotionally to call for the actions those powers-that-be need from time to time.

We didn’t use to be such malleable sheep, made to sleep or bleat to order. There were times now long past when journalists attempted to deliver something closer to reality to their readers and viewers. There have been such people, believe it or not. If you are of a certain age you will know the names of the following: John Pilger, Seymour Hersh,  and Robert Fisk. Of the three only Seymour Hersh survives. These were men of integrity and independence who tended to work freelance, seeking to find the core of the subject they were on the trail of, unaccepting of easy answers and one-sided narratives. Their much younger, modern day equivalents do exist but as with those they surely accredit as their heroes, they work quite independently of the main news media and the requirements they demand of them. There has been a sea change in how journalism is done in its usual, mainstream incarnation. It is no longer particularly investigative. It has become more a channel to communicate views. The rot appears to have started after support for the Vietnam War was essentially brought to a close in the USA due to the reporting of facts. When the West’s regime change wars of choice began after the events of 9/11 journalists no longer covered them from the battlefield itself but were instead “embedded” among the various militaries taking part. They were given nightly briefings, i.e. they were essentially told what to report. This was a lot easier, safer and more comfortable for a new breed of journalists who found this quite convenient. It was also extremely convenient and helpful for the western states who wished certain narratives to be broadcast and certain inconvenient realities ignored.

So, here we are, now, in these modern times of war, war and more war within a news flowchart where certain facts are “okay” for distribution as they fit the chosen narratives of western political elites and where certain facts are not. Those who wish to manipulate certain expectations and emotions and dampen others can do so easily, and by this convenient chain of narrative creation build a fabricated, highly partial reality among populations conditioned to readily believe them, and to have their already existing prejudices reinforced. George Orwell would have no problem identifying the system that has been so deftly created with the complicity of all western mainstream news outlets. The wall-to-wall nature of totalitarian information control would be very familiar to him. It is just as he foresaw it in his novel ‘1984’ only in all its modern form, without the hero of ‘1984’, Winston Smith to undermine it.

There is a somewhat happy ending in the case of the Russian-Ukraine conflict however. The actuality of which western publics are only granted (through the mainstream) to less than half, is breaking through the western media facade. Russian victories on the battlefields are becoming too obvious and too numerous now, they are becoming harder and harder for legacy media owners, editors, “journalists” and commentators to ignore. Much to their chagrin, actuality is starting to break through their carefully constructed “news” mirages of Ukrainian “success”. Tall tales concerning Zelensky, Syrsky and their talents and achievements are sounding thin and rather desperate. The recent incursion into the Russian region of Kursk is only the latest of a number of desperate schemes to generate enough headlines to make western populations believe they are being successful still.

The truth is that Russia is winning, has been winning and now is winning big. The illusion with which western news media elites have been deluding western viewers on YouTube and readers of print media is now unsustainable. The Orwellian milieu of creating lies absorbed by many in the West wish alacrity is failing fast. Russian territorial gains are happening at an ever faster pace. As these occur, more and more of those like Winston Smith who don’t like being lied to or being part of the fabrication factory that is western mainstream news, are speaking out. The percentage of those happy to hear comforting lies is reducing. No doubt they will seek out more lies to comfort them as time goes by… but those lies are going to be harder and harder to make convincing. And ultimately we will all be able to recognize the true situation and outcome of the Russian-Ukraine conflict, a total and absolutely conclusive, Russian victory.

KURSK: UKRAINE’S LAST THROW OF THE DICE

It is always a pitiful sight for those who frequent casinos to see some poor, addicted slob double down his bets and lose EVERYTHING. How much more pitiful to see an iniquitous regime throw away the lives of its citizens in something very similar.

The Kiev regime led by a second rate comedian who has not been funny at any time over the last two and a half years and who is nearing the end of his tether as well as his tenure, is on its last legs, propped up only by equally loathsome western sponsors. Zelnsky’s initial welcome as a peacemaker wore out long, long ago. Within months of becoming president of Ukraine he became a reckless warmonger and he has stayed that way until now.

Goaded into war by sponsors intent on weakening Russia and furthering their war against the peaceful nations rising to take away their global dominance the USA, UK and their European allies, used Ukraine as a tool and pawn to do their bidding. The result has been the death or grievous wounding of around half a million Ukrainian troops.

Beaten across every area of conflict up and down the Donbass battlelines Zelensky has insisted on national suicide via the incursion of his last best troops into the Kursk region of Russia. After a week or so we see that this reckless gamble has predictably failed. Zelensky’s hapless troops have been contained in almost every area where they have brought their unwanted presence. Though the goal of the incursion, reaching and capturing the Kursk nuclear power plant is now clearly beyond their reach there will be no withdrawal. Zelensky will insist, for appearances sake, that they remain… and die.

Already many Ukrainian troops are choosing to surrender rather than fight a hopeless battle against the Russian troops closing in all around them. Russia is using its drone squadrons to precisely locate every West-supplied vehicle within the region and destroy it along with any Ukrainian troops within them. In the last twenty-four hours alone a desperate Kiev regime has sent and lost six Patriot missile batteries near the Kursk battlelines. There is zero hope of any success for the Kursk mission. When, in the first few days, Kiev’s troops failed to take the small town of Sudzha (5,000-6,000 inhabitants) which it must have been thought would provide easy pickings. This was the first sign that things were not going to plan.

Despite reportedly being trained in Britain, the Ukrainians and associated British, American and Polish mercenaries (or sheep-dipped NATO troops) have failed in their task. They did take quite a number of small villages while failing to take Sudzha, but what kind of “victories” were these? They were what is termed ‘Pyrrhic Victories’, no real victory at all. A few vehicles comprising a small number of troops in fast-moving raiding parties drove around claiming to ‘take’ villages that offered no resistance to them. The only change these “bold warriors” made was in the flag flying over the village’s town hall, if it even had one. Meanwhile Russia drew up its plans against them.

Over the last two days we have seen the Ukrainian interlopers pushed back and destroyed in ever more locations. They have stopped trying to move forward in most places, unable to make any further inroads and suffering heavy losses. Unable to leave due to Kiev’s insistence they stay, fight and die they are either surrendering or seeking to fight on in areas where Russian support is still not as strong as it has been encountered elsewhere. The devastating knowledge must surely be permeating every thick Ukrainian skull by now that they will either never leave Russia or only to be taken prisoner and exchanged for Russian troops held captive in Ukraine.

The conflict in the Kursk region will continue for some time yet no doubt. It was Zelensky’s last throw of the dice, his last effort to double down. His sponsors in Washington, London, Brussels, Berlin and elsewhere will continue to double down, providing some replacement vehicles and the next game-changing doomed to fail superweapon. They are nearing their very last throw of the dice also. How so? Because Russia is now powering forward across the Donbass line of contact and especially so in the Avdeevka area where the town of Niu York is about to be liberated and then the city of Toretsk. Soon after the town of Pokrovsk will fall, the most strategically important town in the region, a logistic and transport hub for the regime that is vital for conveying troops and weaponry to the various battlefonts. Without Pokrovst the ability for the Ukrainian military to continue to the level of readiness required will be severely degraded.

Zelensky is desperate. Zelensky’s sponsors are also desperate. Both sources of evil see defeat and humiliation on the horizon. Yet instead of saving lives by admitting their defeat they will callously urge the hapless Ukrainian troops on from the comfort of their armchairs safely back in their capitals. They don’t want to be the ones who are in office when the hammer is finally brought down. So, they cynically double down instead. And push the date of humiliation and total defeat further down the road… a road littered by the dead bodies of those they sent uselessly to fight in an unwinnable war. 

THE OBVIOUS SOLUTION THAT WE IN THE WEST ARE NOW UNABLE TO LIVE

There is a feeling going round that something has been lost. What can it be?

I have no doubt you look around the world we have come to now and shake your head. If you have lived any length of time you will have certainly seen better days than these. Much better. If you are as long in the tooth as I am you will feel you have entered some kind of twisted version of Hell in fact… that is compared with the wicked, but not so wicked as now world we once knew. Yet the solution to all these problems has been a catchphrase for at least as many decades as we have been alive. Yet it seems we can’t agree to settle our differences and abide by it.

It is of course, ‘LIVE AND LET LIVE’.

The thing is that one or two nations believe they have the right to take nations and nationalities that are not like their own and do whatever they like to them as if they were holy messengers sent down from above to police the world. They conceive themselves to be so superior that they have the right and even the duty to do this. And do it by force if they have to. They don’t see a few hundred thousand corpses as something to worry overmuch about. The end justifies the means, right?

The elites of these lands, the USA and the UK conceive themselves to be a superior group who sit on the board of directors of all they survey. Their wishes must come true. Their commands must be obeyed. Their interests must be satisfied. And all things must be arranged to suit them. And woe betide anyone who thinks they have a right to their culture or national sovereignty and who refuses to bow down to the wishes, commands and interests that these god-like figures require to be attended to at all times.

War and pestilence are not archaic terms as we know all too well from recent history. The USA and UK have delivered both. Both physical and mental. Their frame of mind where those who are not like them are fair game for them has been extremely obvious lately. They conceive themselves and their systems to be the composite crown of creation, the model which all others must aspire and adhere to. Or else…

In this modern materialist western world values count for little, that is any values you may have brought with you from the old, dead and gone world. Now you must agree to the new values, the woke values, the kind seen recently at the opening of the Paris Olympic Games. You will be coerced to accept those values or you risk being canceled. Either you stay silent, out of sight of the censors or you will find yourself in trouble for being too free with your opinions. Shut up or be shut up. Your choice.

We are being taught to emphasize our differences more and more. We have told to expect the best at all times and to get annoyed when things are not done as we demand. We feel far more entitled than ever before. Large numbers of our fellow beings, the affluent percentage, have been told to ‘expect more’ and to demand more. “Shop till you drop.” “Consume!” Want the best and get it. Beat the ‘others’ to it by whatever method that’s to hand. Those are not fellow humans, they are your competitors.

The advertisers and marketers told us to demand it all and have it all. But they didn’t tell us just how much we would have to pay for that. And pay and pay and pay… with all the psychological baggage and distortion that a shallow life of endless consumption and competing can bring. Who needs friends you can no longer trust? Except those you might be able to use to your advantage somehow, right?

Your neighbors became absent over the years or else they became annREALLY ANNOYING. Somehow we became obsessive about being safely alone, not touched by others except for them to ask us what we want from them. People became either competitors or potential slaves for us to order around. In the service culture that was sold us we were kings and these minions who delivered service to us were our slaves. And if they didn’t come up to scratch we would ditch them for new ones.

Other cultures were fine during brief holidays from making loads of money for all the glittering trinkets of a very modern life, trips to distant lands where we could feel superior and become interested in quaint customs for a while, slumming it and taking selfies to show the equally vain and shallow relatives back home. 

This is the material that is the human specimen seen so widely now in the western world. A grotesque shadow of a human being. Hardly able to be loved or to give love, a calculating machine, a robot that digests mainstream headlines and believes them in total ignorance.

LIVE AND LET LIVE?

Yes, if only we had the essential materials in the human beings now existing in the western world to do it and not these distorted and distorting shadows that hardly even remind us of human beings. Lost in lies broadcast nightly, heads wasted with a tawdriness that lurks everywhere now. Frightened by the reality all this irresponsibility brings, daunted by the news of riot and mayhem, murder, rage, racism, war and hatred. But still seeking filthy lucre to garner it all to the self and keep it safe from those others ‘out there’.

This is the world the USA and UK and most of the EU want to foist on the rest of the world, to make all others just like them, caught in the self-loving trap of those who believe themselves superior but who have lost everything that was real about them and in so doing lost any trace of their humanity. Live like us or die. That is their motto. Live and let live? This is anathema to those who demand all others be like them. Their self-image is so deluded, their conception of themselves as the most exceptional, superior form of beings ever to grace this planet could not be further from the truth. And their awful and disgusting reality is now leading to them being now being rejected during the birth of a truly multipolar world.

In that world now being born the phrase that has become so unfashionable will once have meaning once more.

NIU YORK IS ABOUT TO FALL

The foolishly named town adjacent to Toretsk in the soon to be Russian Donbass named Niu York will soon be liberated and no doubt quickly renamed.

Russian forces are now in a position to take the major Donbass cities of Niu York and Toretsk. With the current disposition of forces this will take place within a week to ten days from now. Ukrainian forces, lacking manpower and munition capacity are now falling back from undefendable positions around these two large conurbations. The situation is exacerbated for the Ukrainian troops fighting there due to the recent concentration of troops by the Kiev regime in its misconceived incursion into Russia’s Kursk region.

The fall of Niu York and Toretsk will undoubtedly precipitate a further decline in Ukrainian army morale across the battlefront in the Donbass, and no doubt too in those now within the Kursk incursion which is rapidly turning into a trap. With the liberation of these two major cities and the opening up of further territory for the Russians with the ukrainians increasingly on the run, the way will be open for the Russian military to advance upon the last remaining outposts of the Ukrainian regime in the Donbass.

The major Ukrainian logistic hub, Pokrovsk will be next to fall after Niu York and Toretsk. This may take several weeks to achieve. Slovyansk and Kramatorsk are the largest cities remaining in Ukrainian hands in the Donbass but we could easily see these fall by November if not sooner should there be a catastrophic collapse in Ukrainian army morale. It is all to play for, for the Russian troops now, the wind is at their back with crumbling opposition before them. 

With the developments above plus the certain defeat of the Ukrainian troops now within Russia’s Kursk region there can be little doubt that these events will finally see major changes within Ukraine’s western support base. They will be loath to associate themselves with a failing regime and will slowly but surely begin to withdraw their support. This will be seen in massively reduced mainstream media news coverage and a certain lack of the now familiar statements of “everlasting” support for the Kiev regime. Supplies of cash, weaponry and munitions will decline even more precipitously than the already noticeably falling tranches.

The West’s Project Ukraine is failing quite obviously now. It has been failing for a very long time now but western obfuscation of this fact via its news media peddling fantasies instead of facts. There is nothing short of direct NATO or western power intervention that can halt the precipitous fall of their Ukrainian device to weaken Russia. The last laugh will certainly be Russia’s with its growing economy (while Europe’s declines and the USA soars to unsustainable levels of national debt), its battle-hardened, much stronger army basking in the glory of a monumental victory over the modern day Nazis of Ukraine and a nation with its sovereignty and security guaranteed in perpetuity. The reputation of the Russian president will be further heightened, not only in the nations of the global majority but also all across the western world.

Niu York and Toretsk will mark the most significant milestone yet and will equal the fall of Avdeevka as a sign of things to come. With the clearance of the Ukrainian infestation from Russia’s Kursk region another nail will be hammered into the Kiev regime’s coffin. It will be only a matter of time from these events that Zelensky and his minions are clearing their desks and departing in humiliating ignominy, never to be heard of again.

There will be one last and abiding memory to be correctly proud of within Russia when this is all done and dusted. That memory will feature the city that was given a certain name (surely to be replaced in due course). The Ukrainian city presently called Niu York. The liberation of Niu York will always stand in Russian minds not only as potent symbol of Russia’s defeat of the Ukrainian Nazis, but also, and even more importantly, of the total humiliation of the world’s fastest declining and most aggressively evil superpower, the USA.

UKRAINE HAS NO STAYING POWER - THIS WILL BE ITS UNDOING

Without a continued flow of military and other financial aid from the West supporting its army, payrolls, and government institutions, Ukraine and its malignant regime will quickly collapse.

It seems no one on the Ukrainian regime’s side, including the regime itself, is willing to admit that it cannot possibly sustain itself against the growing power that opposes it. With the Russian economy going great guns and volunteers for the Russian military running at somewhere over 1,000 per day Ukraine doesn’t stand a chance without NATO putting boots on the ground.

The fast reducing Ukrainian army is getting ground down at a rate approaching 2,000 men per day, dead or wounded. Recruiting is a matter of kidnapping men off the street and bundling them into a waiting van (many of which vans are now being torched by Ukrainians who will do anything to avoid being sent to the front lines, largely untrained, to die as cannon-fodder).

Russia’s military industrial complex is running in high gear with military vehicles, weaponry, shells and ammunition being efficiently transported to the battle front by both rail and road. (A new rail line across the landbridge to the Donbass has recently been constructed making transportation via the Kerch Bridge unnecessary.) Updates to older tanks is underway putting new barrels and electronics inside. The factory doing this work produces a newly refurbished tank every month. Volumes of munitions are many multiples of earlier production. Bullets, shells and missiles are streaming out of factories to the front line.

Meanwhile in Ukraine Russia has targeted and destroyed all the industrial capacity that it has spotted via drone or satellite and the tally of liquidated sources of weaponry plus the warehouses where they are stored must account for the vast majority leaving the regime running short of the means to fight. Even if it had adequate means to fight in terms of munitions and weaponry most of the trained soldiers that it had at its command initially are either dead or permanently incapacitated, no longer able to be of any use on the battlefield.

Even if the regime could muster the men to send as cannon-fodder to the front lines it would still avail them next to nothing. The superiority of weapons and air power on the Russian sides means the vast majority of men sent forward would never even see a Russian, they would be eliminated by the sheer overwhelming superiority of Russian firepower. The Russians have no problem with the supply of bullets, bombs or missiles and vastly outgun the Ukrainians.

Now the Kiev regime is reduced to relying on various public relations stunts such as the current Kursk offensive. Such largely idiotic operations combined with momentary western media applause have been characteristic of the vacuous nature of those at the top in the Ukrainian regime, and especially characteristic of its so-called president. (Zelensky’s legal time as president expired several months ago. Now he is a simple and rather tawdry and largely empty-headed dictator.)

Ukraine is incapable of beating a Russia whose capacity for prolonged military capacity is almost infinite. Ukraine, having lost a good half of its industrial capacity, has been struggling to oppose Russia’s relentless campaign of attrition for two years now after a reasonable first few months. For two years now the Russian military has been incessantly and relentlessly grinding the Ukrainian army down. While the other side creates its usual theatrical idiocies and delivers a constant stream of lies for the western press Russia has simply kept acting in its always professional way, getting the job done.

Ukraine is essentially finished as a viable state. It is only just hanging on due to massive western tax-payers contributions and the hire of thousands of mercenaries. It could not survive otherwise. As soon as it runs out of men to replace those dying and injured each day and the West runs out of its capacity to supply weaponry support and the amounts of cash dwindles to crisis levels… then we will see the entire panoply of institutions in what is left of Ukraine crash. It simply cannot continue at that point and this is why it can be clearly seen to have no staying power on any level. This will most certainly be its undoing. 

THE KIEV REGIME IS UNRAVELING BEFORE OUR VERY EYES

The edifice of lies, corruption and criminality that is the Kiev regime, along with their unholy western sponsors... is about to collapse in ignominy.

With the harebrained Kursk operation we are seeing the latest and very probably last desperate attempt of Zelensky’s minions to stay relevant. It has very much the look of a slow-motion suicide about it. Multiple expert commentators across the western world are remarking upon the folly involved, many pointing out the complete lack of any strategic or tactical goal of any importance within this act of desperation. 

To send forces into a small portion of the Russian Federation when you are being beaten hollow elsewhere, ultimately to be surrounded and beaten back with major losses makes no operational, tactical or strategic sense. It is an exercise in complete futility, throwing away lives and military machines with no significant benefit. The only target of any significance is the nuclear power plant in the Kursk region which was always going to be out of reach to the relatively puny force sent in.

Now, with the only possible goal of any merit being unattained, the purpose of staying in position or attempting to move further is simply compounding an already dire situation. Russian forces sent to the Kursk region are now closing in on the remaining Ukrainian forces and their mercenary sidekicks. Just a few days into Kiev’s brain-addled operation already more than one thousand of the incursion force is dead or wounded. Many more are destined to add to this total the longer this misbegotten op continues.

The Kiev regime is running out of hapless young and old men to grab off the street and force to the front lines. It is losing, on average, some 60,000 of its troops per month to the better equipped, better resourced and better trained Russians. Obviously this is unsustainable. The days when Ukrainians volunteered with foolish enthusiasm to join the fight are long gone. Now they rush with all the energy they can muster toward the borders of Ukraine hoping to escape their certain fate, to be sent to their deaths with a minimum of training.

The baleful state of the Ukrainian army, facing an extremely battle-hardened and determined Russian army has begun to show with utmost clarity over the last few weeks. Russian territorial gains have been quickening in the number of villages liberated from Ukrainian troops more likely to run away than stand and fight. More and more are making the wise decision to surrender. Meanwhile back in western Ukraine hundreds of vehicles used by the hated security forces who grab men off the street and send them to the front, have been torched. And the number of street protests against this lost war are mounting.

Ever since it became clear that the economic and financial sanctions against Russia mounted by the western powers had failed and had indeed been counterproductive (economic growth in Russia appears unstoppable) it was clear that the Kiev regime was doomed along with their unfortunate army. Now, at this stage with Russia pushing relentlessly forward meeting ever-lessening resistance the regime is reduced to even greater levels of public relations gimmickry and theatrical displays bringing them nothing but obsequious and soon redundant western mainstream headlines.

Zelensky has been able to play western populations like a fiddle up to quite recently, aided to the hilt by a western mass media that has been 100% compliant in channel every lie he has spoken as if it was Holy Writ. Zelensky has been compared to Winston Churchill and feted across Europe as a hero. Unfortunately for him however western audiences that fell for such twaddle have increasingly realized how they were mercilessly deceived by those they trusted to provide their news and are extremely angry to have been so brazenly misled.

Multiple power plays have been seen occurring within the corrupt hierarchy of Zelensky’s court. Intrigue and murder feature as keynote signs that the facade of probity so desperately manufactured to dupe western populations is fast crumbling.  The ridiculous assertion concerning Ukraine as a ‘democratic nation’ when its president has banned all opposition and all media that might support it is sounding increasingly hollow. The corruption at the heart of Kiev is being exposed for all to see.

Zelensky’s days as Ukraine’s president without a mandate (presidential elections should have been held months ago) are surely numbered. As soon as the penny drops sufficiently across the collective west that he is a certain loser he is certain to be persona non grata, an embarrassment to those who once lauded him in order to deceive their populations. Already mentions of his name are fewer and fewer, not only among western populations but even more obviously across western mass media. Soon he (and Ukraine) will enter the same memory hole that Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Libya were delivered into by western media after the West lost so publicly.

A great silence is about to befall almost everything to do with Ukraine. The ‘next big thing’, China will consume news anchors and newspaper/internet headlines very soon after the latest distraction, Iran. All that happened in Ukraine will move quickly to a couple of paragraphs on the equivalent of the sixth page of the NYT before getting lost entirely. Only those of us who have followed this regime change gone wrong insanity from the beginning will retain anything of significance from this most egregious, murderous and unholy western elite failures. 

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE KURSK REGION OF RUSSIA?

 

Western mainstream news is full of the incursion by Ukraine into Russia's Kursk region. They are reporting as if this is a huge success by Kiev. But what is the reality behind this western bias?

A large force of Ukrainian special forces along with a significant number of mercenaries have made an incursion into the Kursk region of Russia which borders on the sumy region of Ukraine. Virtually all news regarding the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is focusing on this event currently. So what is going on there now, what exactly did the Ukrainians achieve with this, why did Russia allow it to happen and what possible goals do the Ukrainians have by mounting this operation.

What might Kiev’s goals be for this operation?

Due to the conflict going badly for the regime across every area of the Russian campaign, especially in the area adjacent to Avdeevka Kiev needed: 

a) a diversion for public relations purposes to convince western sponsors that they were still in the fight.

b) a way to lift sagging morale in the now increasingly poorly-trained and partly forced-conscript Ukrainian army that is b.ing steadily outgunned and out-maneuvered.

1. To target and capture the nuclear power plant at Kurskaya, the Kurskaya NPP.
2. To cause Russia to divert forces from the battlegrounds to the south where Russia is taking towns and villages and Ukrainian forces are being increasingly pushed back.
3. To foment discontent in Russia against Vladimir Putin, the Russian government and Russia’s military high command in the hope that Russian public sentiment would cause large protests to  facilitate the overthrow of at least one, or all three.

How did the Russians come to let this happen?

1. Was there negligence in not responding to warnings that there was a significant Ukrainian military build up in the adjacent Sumy region? Were warnings received and not acted upon? 
2. Were insufficient Russian forces stationed in the Kursk region for emergency situations such as this?
3. Did the Russian military remove the mines set near the border region with the intent to send Russian troops through in a proposed incursion into the  Ukrainian Sumy region which allowed the Ukrainians far easier access to mount their incursion?
4. Was such an operation by the Ukrainians given extremely low credence due to its being perceived as having no strategic, operational or tactical benefit for the Ukrainian in terms of the ultimate outcome of the conflict and therefore robust defensive measures were not considered necessary?

What did the Ukrainians achieve with this operation in the initial stages?

1. Initially, small groups of Ukrainian forces moved speedily to various locations in raid operations. They covered a wide range of areas up to 15 km into Russian territory. The number of troops in each group was small. The entire initial force was approximately 1,000 strong with a reported 2,000 more in reserve. The campaign appeared very successful initially as the reporting appeared to reflect the raiding troops taking villages under their control. This was inaccurate as the number of Ukrainian troops involved in each raiding party was too small to achieve this.
2. After the initial attack with these limited raiding party forces the slower advance of military hardware including some engineering equipment began to progress into the region. These will, in the main, not have reached the furthest areas reached by the fast-moving raiding parties.
3. A public relations coup was certainly achieved across the western world and to a more limited degree within the Russian Federation. Through appearing to take one village after another and what appeared to be a significant total number the objectives above of a and b were certainly achieved.

What is going on in the Kursk region of Russia now?

1. After the initial successes of the Ukrainians and associated mercenary forces Russia is now stabilizing the situation with the reinforcement of positions in each area where the opposition forces have arrived in force.
2. Despite opposing forces having spread a false alarm to Kursk region residents in the area beyond their current position to leave their homes due to danger and thus crowding some roads there, Russian defense forces continue to arrive in the as yet lightly occupied region.
3. Losses of the Ukrainians force are reportedly very high, amounting to around 1,000 troops/mercenaries, dead or wounded.
4. The way the battle for the Kursk region is going the trend can be very much characterized as a stabilization of the situation with Ukrainian forces stopped or slowed with resistance to them growing by the hour due to the arrival of Russian troops and armor and the work of Russian air power.

What is the likely outcome of this Ukrainian offensive and what time scale are we looking at?

The certain outcome will be the complete ejection of all opposition forces, whether Ukrainian army or mercenary groups from the Kursk region. This will be followed by a sanitary zone being created within the adjacent Ukrainian Sumy region by the Russian military. The Kiev regime will have lost in the ballpark of 2,000 troops most of whom will be their most highly trained special forces. This will leave the regime even weaker than the already parlous state it was in before this misguided and counter-productive operation.

As for the timescale for both of the above:

1. The bulk of opposition forces will likely be forced out of the Kursk region within the next three to five days.
2. A mopping up operation to clear any isolated opposition fighters will most likely take a few days longer.
