‘A whipping boy was a boy educated alongside a prince in early modern Europe, who received corporal punishment for the prince's transgressions in his presence. The prince was not punished himself because his royal status exceeded that of his tutor; seeing a friend punished would provide an equivalent motivation not to repeat the offense.’ (Wikipedia)
The race-memory of the Russian people has been indelibly scarred by a traumatic history of incredible suffering. They came through everything including upward of 27 million lives lost in the winning of WWII.
Now they live through constant western attacks upon them and their nation.
Russians must wonder what they must do to prove their credentials as peace-loving people, friendly to all.
The elites of the West used inhuman pressure applied every second of every day for over 50 years to destroy the most idealistic venture ever attempted on Planet Earth, the creation of a socialist state where the basics of survivable life were made available to everyone no matter their social status.
Ultimately the Soviet Union of states, united in this experiment to empower those who created wealth in a cooperative enterprise designed to benefit all, was destroyed, partly from internal flaws, but ultimately mostly due to outside pressure constantly applied.
Western powers used every possible device in both the outer and inner spheres of influence to torment, subjugate and sabotage every idealistic effort made within the idealistic nations dedicated to peace and unity. Their weaponization of the criminal, selfish, disaffected, ungrateful and greedily-ambitious lowlifes within nations such as Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary and others succeeded in tearing a noble coalition of states completely apart.
When the work of the West, that of paranoid & out-of-touch and oppressive officials along with all those who saw their chance to aggrandize themselves by destroying the socialist system, was done, and the Soviet Union was brought to an impasse, a man called Gorbachev emerged whose no doubt well-intentioned efforts to preserve the union opened the way for its complete destruction.
As is well known Boris Yeltsin became the figurehead of a coup, arranging for Gorbachev to be held prisoner while he used tanks to fire upon the parliament building in Moscow.
Western elites then manipulated the election process in every way including financially to ensure Boris Yeltsin was elected president.
Without recourse to violence communist party officials gave up their power across eastern Europe. Mankind’s one and only chance to achieve universal benefit for the many, not ever more wealth for the few, was over.
Russia then fell into a depth of disaster and despair which threatened to bring the entire nation to a never-ending chaos, a breeding ground for venal oligarchs, ultra-violent Mafia bosses, endemic crime, falling life expectancy, a collapsed social safety net, mass unemployment and horrendous poverty, especially for those of middle age and the elderly.
What had been free, health care, education and much else now became scarce and expensive. Corruption was rife and criminality commonplace. Elites jostled with each other for power and influence and the West sent its people to manipulate things their way. Yeltsin was totally unable to manage what he had released from Pandora’s Box, took to drinking heavily and making a fool of himself, eventually realizing he must hand the reigns of power to someone he had some confidence in. That man was of course Vladimir Putin.
Putin at first refused Yeltsin doubting himself. The task before him was immense. Russia was a complete basket case, humiliated, reduced in power and pride with its past partners all departing it and being allowed to freely go. There was a war being waged against Islamic terrorists in the Caucuses and almost lost. Oligarchs were eyeing the power they could gain by inserting themselves through their great wealth in the parliament and Kremlin. The Russian people were suffering terribly and there were no clear ways out.
Putin began taking one step after another to lead Russia up from the vicious downward spiral it was in. He called in all the oligarchs to a meeting. They threatened him saying they would destroy him if he moved against them. This was far from an idle threat in the parlous circumstances he and the entirety of Russia was in. However, he did move against them, slowly but surely and ultimately made them, a) refrain from using their vast wealth to gain political power and b) to start paying taxes.
One cautious but bold move after another Russia began to rise to the proud nation it is known to be now. This gargantuan task which looked totally impossible in the year 2000 when Putin was elected president was accomplished in little more than a decade, an incredible feat which ought to have been acknowledged with plaudits all round. Sadly this was not to be.
Instead of admiration for pulling Russia up by its metaphorical bootstraps Putin was designated the West’s Public Enemy Number One. In similar style to the propaganda which had helped bring down the Soviet Union and using some of the same kind of venal internal lowlifes of that time, along with a multitude of western hack “journalists” Putin was targeted without mercy.
This process goes on to the present day. We have seen a decade and a half of slander for the man who quite literally saved Russia. Without him it is certain that if it had continued in its downward spiral the world’s largest nation would have split into fiefdoms never to be united again. Putin did receive admiration from those who knew him well and knew what he had accomplished. But from the elites of the West who think ONLY in terms of self-interest he received only one slanderous accusation after another.
You know all the claims, all the assertions, all the guilt by association and all the opinion pieces claiming he is a dictator, a thief, a murderer. Without any true evidence ever being produced.
Those who are accused of committing crimes while leading nations where there is evidence that could lead to conviction are called out by the International Criminal Court and called to account for themselves at The Hague. Nothing of this has ever even been mentioned as a possibility by those authorities. Those making such claims are within the elite cabals of the West and ought to be ashamed of themselves.
The name of Russia and Russians are constantly dragged through the mud. You will never see a report talking of 'some Russians’, the phrase used is always 'Russia’ and 'Russians’ besmirching an entire nation and its people. This reveals the true intent of those originating these slanderous opinions that in total amount to nothing more than propaganda aimed at demonizing a regime change target.
And don’t discount the idea so readily that the CIA may be involved in the effort to denigrate Vladimir Putin and Russia through false flag activities. The events surrounding Alexander Litvinenko, the Skripals and most recently Alexei Navalny were suspicious not only for the Russian angle alone, but for the negative effect they would have on the reputation of Vladimir Putin and Russia.
People can be killed easily by secret service agents in the most mundane ways. Using strangulation, a knife or a gun or any other normal method means the perpetrator is less identifiable. Using some strange substance, easily identifiable in association with the Soviet Union and Russia seems an odd way to maintain anonymity. The Skripals suffered their traumatic experiences in the weeks leading up to the Russian World Cup where Vladimir Putin and the Russian state hoped would assist in creating better relations with the world. How was the reported poisoning of the Skripals with a Soviet Union-associated substance, Novichok to play into those hopes? And the recent Alexei Navalny case is even more suspicious as a false flag event. Of all things Novichok is again the cause? How convenient is that for identifying the culprit? Too convenient. And don’t think for a moment the CIA is run with a view to what is strictly ethical and moral, its past history should disabuse everyone of this naive belief.
So once again Russia and Vladimir Putin get it in the neck and further blows are aimed at the long-suffering Russian people. Along with these blows further pressure is applied via Belarus and Kyrgyzstan. Ukraine and Syria are also areas where Russia can be attacked by those who have such a strong vested interest in the West by doing so.
It is the United States along with its allies who have been responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands in the Middle East in recent years, it was the West that worked to destabilize Ukraine and every ally that Russia has including Venezuela, Cuba and Iran. Only today Trump’s fixer, Mike Pompeo signaled Nicaragua will be next. Cuba never left their sights. Yemen is being plagued daily with mass death, disease, poverty and hunger by Saudi Arabia with the enthusiastic help of the USA, UK and others.
Russia, China and at the time France all refused to agree that Iraq should be attacked and invaded. They advised strongly against it as they do to all such violent interference and murderous invasions.
The USA killed millions in Vietnam. It stokes discord, attempts destabilization and uses the CIA to subvert and destroy systems of governance everywhere that refuses to bow down before western self-interest.
Yet all we hear is how bad Putin and Russia are? The hypocrisy and venality of the West is there, plain for all to see.
But Putin is the world’s most demonic foe and Russia is the world’s most egregiously dangerous state? As Mr Spock might say... this does not compute.
As Goebbels said, you must accuse those you wish to destroy of what you yourself are doing. And as the kicker... if you tell a lie, tell a big one.
Russia is enemy to no nation. Russia is instead the West’s whipping boy nation taking all the punishment it alone deserves.
