COGNITIVE CAPTURE & THE MSM LIE MACHINE

Cognitive capture involves losing your freedom to express what you think across any public forum where significant numbers may hear or read your true thoughts.

In most cases this occurs when you are paid to impose this upon yourself as a job specification, most commonly within mainstream media.

Cognitive capture is the primary reason why we are so ill-informed in the West and the single most prevalent cause of mass manipulation. George Orwell understood this very well in the context of totalitarian societies.

This is sometimes called, ‘Selling your soul to The Devil’. In the West at present the devils are twofold, the political elites and those within the field of mass media, either state-funded or corporate.

You dare not risk your pay & lifestyle by rebelling.

In the political field allegiance is provided to those worked for, or supported.

Minds tend to reject facts contrary to the allegiance granted & far too readily accept & promote “facts” that help shore up and strengthen the allegiance given.

When your salary depends on obedience you get the ridiculous position of independent minds with progressive views becoming the standard bearers of all they have previously loathed. Two very obvious examples of this in the USA are Chris Hayes and Rachel Maddow.

It's crucially important if you seek reality-based news to compare differences in approach/delivery of those like Hayes and Maddow with those outwith the corporate sphere of influence such as Aaron Maté, Jimmy Dore, Chris Hedges, Glenn Greenwald, Max Blumenthal, Anya Parampil, Ben Norton, John Pilger, George Galloway, Lee Camp and other notably independent observers.

Any exposure to mainstream media news is comparable to a session within a CIA brainwashing / reprogramming unit. The purpose is to mold viewpoints. The entire goal of the outlet, whether its staff are fully cognizant of the fact or not, is to conditioning viewers' minds.

Such exposure over a protracted period will lend the viewer to both conscious and subconscious suggestibility whereby he or she will parrot the views paraded in front of them as news. When this takes place across an entire nation you arrive at the situation we are in, in the West now which is the equivalent of a propaganda soup... cooked up entirely by the mass media.

It should be a fact known, accepted and lived-by that those within politics and the mass media are paid to lie, or at the very least parrot the thoughts and opinions of others. Politicians are virtual puppet figures for the corporations that fund them. So called journalists, news anchors, observers, commentators paraded upon the nightly news or viewspapers are paid to channel the news that fits the agenda of others. You simply cannot trust news where those relating it to you are bound only to reflect the views of others. Why on earth would you?

As Noam Chomsky has pointed out, those selected to work within mass media have been carefully selected due to them being susceptible to the blandishments of those who wish to capture their cognitive functions. Mass media uses talented individuals with this disposition because they will be relatively convincing when relating the narratives they wish the public to believe. The process of course, is not fully conscious but it is very certainly partially so.

Those who apply to work for mass media organizations of a skeptical and perhaps rebellious disposition regarding establishment positions will find themselves outside on the street very quickly after interview. Those talented, ambitious and perhaps just graduated ones with an eye to their career path and who display no inclination to rock any establishment boats will naturally move to the next stage in their job application.

The incessant daily flow of conditioning is created by mass media news organizations where it travels from the editor’s office via his/her daily meetings, informed by the articles submitted by agents who implicitly know what stories/news items are most likely to be accepted and which will not. No staffer who is not hyper-talented and sure of him/herself will submit an article he/she knows will raise alarm bells. Putting his or her career at risk by, for instance, casting doubt on the existence of ‘Russian interference’ will find themselves upwardly mobile anytime soon... unless the exit door is on the roof.

This is how we have reached the surreal situation where anyone with any insight at all realizes that, on geopolitical issues at least, mainstream media outlets are clearly lying through their teeth. Even some of those creating those lies will without doubt be mentioning the vile nature of their occupation to friends and family. You may say why don’t they get out. But you know the answer. Being a paid prostitute within the news industry pays extremely well. The lovely home and garden, the kids education, the great soirees that are arranged, the contacts, the travel, the wining and dining, the whole social whirl... give it up for what?

To be a lowly paid ex-member of the cognitively captured struggling to get some credibility back in a world that has moved on? Only those with the highest profile like Megyn Kelly can afford to attempt such a thing.

The vast majority, to 99.9999% and beyond, will continue to peddle half-truths, bare-faced lies and subtle propaganda delivered daily and hate themselves for it... if they even think about it anymore.
