I would like to link to three videos of an event which took place in Lugansk on the second of June 2014 and discuss what happened on that day, how it was reported or not reported and what this means for western mainstream reporting of events within western regime change targets.
WARNING:
The amateur video, the second below is shocking and extremely hard to watch in full... however, even more shocking was the lack of coverage in the West that followed it.
It is my firm conviction that we will see increasingly more of this approach where only events which support the framing of regime change targets as evil, sub-human and in need of being eliminated while no reference is made to crimes against humanity by western elites or their allies.
In my example event below eight people died, five women and three men. They were civilians who happened to be in the street in front of an administrative building when the attack took place.
The event took place in the town of Lugansk in eastern Ukraine on June the second 2014.
I searched globally the day after the event for reports. In the end I found only three. One was a tiny mention in a French publication that was very brief. The second was on the BBC’s News Online where all that was said was that there had been a “blast” within an article about other events in Ukraine that day. The third was the best report of the three and came from CNN who happened to have a reporter nearby who sent back an on-the-ground, albeit a heavily-edited, sanitized video of the loss of life and devastation caused.
Please read the information below before watching the three videos below which will reveal the true state of affairs regarding what happened in Lugansk that day and how almost non-existent and highly partial the reporting of what occurred.
The responses below give an indication of what we can expect from western news agencies of the mainstream when they are embedded with allies of western states.
These were the responses that were fed to western foreign correspondents:
A government source in Kiev initially told enquirers that an air conditioning unit had exploded.
Later they said that the rebels had been experimenting with some new type of missile and it was this that caused what happened.
Finally, after the CNN report they admitted that their jet(s) had hit the administrative building and killed the five women and three men who had been in the street outside. I believe they eventually said they were rather proud of the attack, saying that more aircraft took part in the attack than had been reported.
No additional reports appeared anywhere across western mainstream media after those initial three.
First the CNN report which contains no gory images of any kind but which refutes the stories emerging from Kiev:
Next is is an amateur video which remains on YouTube unsanitized. I should warn you it spares no feelings and is not for the squeamish. One of the victims of the attack Ms Kukuruza was still alive and able to communicate to the man taking the video even though her legs were shattered. She died soon after.
There was confirmation by the OSCE that the attack was from the air:
Some final thoughts:
This
event took place approximately two weeks before the first presidential
election in Ukraine after the Maidan events caused the previous,
democratically elected president to flee. I suspect this, among other
reasons, was the primary cause for the almost complete lack of reporting
on this event apart from those mentioned above.
The BBC
eventually emailed me to say they would no longer accept my complaints
through their online complaints process as I had filed too many.
This
is how it has been for some time now regarding western mainstream media
whether corporate or state owned. And this is the way it will be from
now on as far as I can see. There are stipulations against objective
reporting in the mainstream and have been there especially since 9/11
and I see no sign that they will ever be revoked.
False flag
events can be expected such as those seen in recent years in Syria and
debunked by independent journalists such as Aaron Mate.
This is
why it is so vital that we be able to access independent journalists
worthy of the name who are not bought and paid for by corporate
mainstream media titles and channels, those such as Jimmy Dore, Kim
Iversen, Chris Hedges, John Pilger, George Galloway and others. They are
our lifeline to objective facts, access to nuanced reality, and
reaching some approximation to truth in detailed form. Without such
people who have maintained their integrity despite every sanction against
them and effort to silence them we would be virtually blind.
If
they are disappeared from our screens and newsprint sources then we will
be left totally submerged within the propaganda soup of western mass
media reporting lie after lie after lie.
