WHO ARE THE *TRULY* INTOLERANT & AUTOCRATIC NATIONS ON THIS PLANET

Western populations are being taught to fear authoritarian societies who don’t allow political pluralism or provide less choice than in the West.

Those who are delivering these narratives are the political leaders and mass media of western states.

They believe only their own systems are valid and that all other systems are not.

Though there are exceptions.

The dictatorial monarchies of the Middle East pass some other test and bypass the one being applied to others such as China and Russia.

Head-chopping dictatorships have their uses it seems, vital uses at that. And this tolerance for death-dealing dictatorships has gone on as long as most, if not all of us, can remember.

But China and Russia are subject to almost endless criticism. This while criticism of Saudi Arabia for instance is very muted at best. And as you will know, the relationship is far from a neutral one. That particular dictatorship is sold millions upon millions of dollars and millions upon millions of British pounds worth of weaponry and this transfer of death-dealing devices has also gone on for as long as most of us have been alive.

Tolerance of dictatorships is not limited to Saudi Arabia of course. There’s Kuwait, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.  I would be surprised if you heard even an iota of criticism of them. Hypocrisy much?

So how real is the criticism of China and Russia based on their systems of governance?

Is it just possible there is another reason for western leaders criticizing China and Russia and mounting highly critical campaigns against them, burdening them with sanctions, applying tariffs to their exports and seeking to stop their development?

Is it possible that the final element is the clue? Their development?

Why might that be?

The USA and UK have long held sway in the world dependent on their economic power. The USA is the most powerful nation in the world. This is because it has the most powerful economy. Is it the wisest and most trustworthy nation however?

Those who have had prime positions atop the elite economic pyramid of the USA since it first began to prosper have equated its riches and power with what they believed was an inalienable right (or as they saw it, duty) to be the judge, jury and sometimes the executioner over the rest of the world. But that didn’t make them the wises and most trustworthy of rulers... did it?

They simply assumed the right. Without any form of agreement by the ruled, by the judged or by those sometimes executed.

If you asked any one of those self-appointed rulers about who gave them the sanction to judge the world I have a feeling they wouldn’t admit it was themselves. You might well here God mentioned... or the concept of manifest destiny which would without much doubt come round to God again one way or another.

The basic concept at work is essentially this: ‘might makes it right’. They assume the position of power (and responsibility) over others because they were blessed by success. They became the most powerful and the way they would see it is that this must be for a reason... because god willed it. (Not because they slaughtered the native population then used millions of slaves to generate wealth for themselves as the boost needed to get them started and not because Europe was decimated during WWII and they profited immensely from that.)

No. It’s God’s will.

So how come they face others rising who simply refuse to do what they’re told?

Is that also God’s will?

To them obviously not.

It seems to them that God’s will is to reassert the will of the USA and its allies such as Britain.

And I put it to you that this is what it’s all about. Their loss of power as others rise, their diminishing influence and their inability to manipulate, judge and punish others to their will.

It’s not about democracy. It’s not about freedom. It’s not about western liberal values.

It’s about falling income. It’s about losing the power to dominate. It’s about inability to exploit resources as they once did.

It’s about a complete intolerance of the imminent likelihood of them no longer being the top dogs judging and maneuvering, chastising and bullying, threatening and dominating.

It is THEY who are intolerant. It is THEY who are the ultimate authoritarians.

And none other than they...
