Regarding the West’s Ukraine policy almost nothing is going right or the way it was planned for those most public of western elites, the political leadership. It is also increasingly going very wrong for the general public across the states which they preside over.
There are however certain much less public elites, almost completely anonymous elites if truth be told, who are profiting immensely from this policy. Chief among them of course are the arms manufacturers who suffered a slump as the USA pulled out of Afghanistan and saw profits take a downturn through the general drawdown of U.S. troops in the Middle East. Then there are the well-heeled security state operatives and analysts who remain as a constant whatever political party is in power. These are those looked to to provide commentary to outlets such as the BBC and CNN.
While Ukrainians die in their thousands billions are being spent providing their elites with weaponry. Most of it is old stock but a significant proportion is new, costly and will of course have to be replaced. This is where certain corporate elites in the background are coining it in from human misery that is being actively encouraged by the western powers.
Ukraine didn’t stand a chance of winning this from the get-go. As was said on a recent edition of ‘The Dive’ with Jackson Hinkle Ukraine stood as much chance of “winning” this as Russia would do if it aligned itself with Mexico to fight the USA on its border. It was clear from the beginning that Russia would overpower all resistance to achieve her goals (which she conceives involve existential questions regarding her security).
Now we see the evidence of the above being portrayed across western mass media. A switch was agreed upon a week or two ago, away from the ‘Ukraine is Winning’ meme to the ‘Ukraine is Losing’ meme. Next we will see the ‘Nothing of this was Our Fault’ meme. This because the catastrophic failures now looming large on the horizon cannot be spun out of sight.
The Zelensky curse will take many victims. We already see the political turmoil in Estonia. Germany too is well on the way to a political upheaval. Britain too with Boris Johnson terminally wounded by a no confidence vote in which 41% of his own party signaled they placed no trust in him. In the USA Biden goes from one low poll rating to another with no sign that he will achieve an upturn anytime soon.
The economies of the West are being shaken to the core by price rises and in many places inflation has started to soar. Meanwhile, in Russia, the target of what were supposed to be country-busting sanctions, things are continually looking up after a shaky start with the ruble becoming ever stronger, industry picking up, interest rates coming down, prices stabilizing and the amount of foreign income into the country at staggeringly increased levels. And, with new markets opening up for Russian products from China, to India to Turkey every day and new sources of required resources to replace those previously found in the West being found too, the future looks bright.
