That the U.S. systems and values are increasingly being seen negatively in terms of their results, i.e. drug epidemics of various kinds, religious extremism by way of cults and hyper-wealthy mega-churches, doubtful food and water quality, drive-by killings and myriad forms of social dysfunction including school shootings, domestic violence, road rage, odd attitudes surrounding gender plus cancel culture, wokeism and a hundred difference signs of dysfunction.
Is the above what you want for your nation? If not, why would you wish to abandon your own traditional systems of governance, tried, tested and mostly trusted, if they work tolerably well and then take on those of the USA?
In addition to the mess that is taking place within the USA we have the mess that its elites have been making far from their shores. So enamoured are they by their nation that they insist others forsake whatever stability they have found and become like them. And if these nations refuse the North Americans have whole organisations dedicated to making them do so. With proxy wars initiated within them, or at the very least the instigation of mass upheaval, political instability and a campaign of infiltrated subversion the USA and its non-governmental organisations have ways to make nations ‘see sense’.
The wars that break out and fragment societies worldwide, often if not always engendered from the nations of the collective west on their transformative quest for the world are seen as normal developments back in Langley, Virginia and Washington DC. More grist to the multi-generational mill in the quest to convert every nation to a one-size-fits-all political shape to suit those who know best but who preside over countries coming apart at the seams.
Well, now there is a choice. If you are even slightly queasy about the forever war that the elites of the USA (both political and media) are waging well at long last you have another option that has only recently come on the table. It consists of the option offered by a group of nations that have as their constituency the largest proportion of humans on the planet. These are the nations of Asia, Eurasia and the Global South. China, India and now steadily Africa are shaping up to provide an alternative global paradigm, a peaceful, agreement-oriented coalition of nations who are sick of the western ways of doing things.
BRICS, the economic grouping consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are rapidly being joined by a great many others, currently consisting of over twenty more nations. Other groupings are similarly oriented toward building relationships within their eastern spheres of influence, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) the Eurasian Union and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). These organisations and groupings overlap and are rapidly coalescing in the goal of creating a brand new, gold-based currency to compete globally with the U.S. dollar. The bully on the block is now going to be faced up to by the new kid on the block and this new kid has learned many new tricks the now elderly, weakening bully will find impossible to counter.
The old world is dying, the world where old powers, far too sure of themselves and considering themselves entitled without mandate to rule the world. These old powers have oceans of blood on their hands, blood that they can no longer hide behind slick public relations campaigns. Their bully-boy tactics of threat, blackmail, violence and every form of arm-twisting known to Man are not going to work anymore, or at least not as they once did. The new kid on the block means the weak nations the western bully used to dominate with ease now have a friend with muscle to call upon and align behind. The world of war that acted as the bloody playground for western political elites for so long is about ready to disappear.
So, are you ready? Mental bags packed to go on this trip of a lifetime, to realise a few dreams… over there in that place you wished you’d see as the number one location on your bucket list, a world that measured up to your most idealistic of thoughts? Somewhere where the wisest heads found ways to agree across national boundaries? Where agreement, not aggression was the general way of things. Where cultural exchange always trumped confrontation? Where traditional values, tried, tested and trusted were not ridiculed but respected? Where honesty and integrity came back into fashion? And where wars become only a distant memory as sustainable solutions are worked out through communication and attempts at understanding?
Too good to be true? Well, watch this space…
Or, are you happy to have all remain just as it is, forever wars and all?
