WE ARE ON COURSE FOR WORLD WAR - IS THERE ANY WAY TO AVOID IT?

Neither side wishes to budge an inch. The goal set after 9/11 says that ALL nations not having an acceptable system of governance to the USA must be eliminated and replaced. Ukraine is merely the next tool being used to effect this goal. No Plan B exists in reference to the goal set immediately after 9/11. It is a case of all, or nothing.

The USA and its primary ally, Britain is dead set on winning via Ukraine and Taiwan. These twin vectors of weaponized western power are set to bring the world to breaking point. While Europe tags along, unable to resist its historical ties to the USA, the two main powers race forward without any intent to ever reverse toward global disaster.

The wellbeing of the people in Ukraine is not the issue. The entire project to expand NATO control to Russia's borders is not about the safety or otherwise of the nations it takes within its orbit. The project has, as its goal, the dissolution of the Russian state through some form of internal anarchic chaos, a Russian Maidan.

The neoconservatives had long awaited their 'Pearl Harbour Moment' and 9/11 delivered for them. Every single relatively level-headed man and woman that was not of 'warrior' mode was replaced. Bridge-builders, true diplomats and potential peacemakers were no longer required post 9/11. Those that replaced them were to a man and woman imbued with the warrior spirit that 9/11 had engendered across all U.S. and UK elites, whether political or media elites. The hot-heads had their moment with the unquestioned determination to carry the fight to all nations big and small and crush all seeds that could lead eventually to another 9/11-type event.

These people we call neoconservatives essentially took over the running of both the USA and UK and would use whatever means they found necessary to continue to do so no matter what figurehead was in place as president or prime minister. Trump in the USA and Corbyn in the UK were treated as enemies by the vast establishment of neocons that took power after 9/11. They are still there today pulling the strings of both biden and Sunak. Across most of the European Union others of their ilk pull the strings of all those who pretend to exercise power in their nations, a pretence that many in Europe are now tending to recognise.

The neocon elites in both political and media spheres have no intention of backing down and seeking a negotiated settlement in Ukraine. They are rabidly focused on using Ukraine as a battering ram against the first of their primary targets, Russia. Taiwan of course is the other battering ram in their arsenal against China. The idea is to shake these nations to their core using both the external pressure they can exert and the inner pressure from the dissatisfied and disaffected within. So far their tactics have failed in both respects but this does not mean they will give up. Far from it.

As seen from the elite western perspective there is no choice but to effect the post 9/11 goals. To do otherwise is to admit their power to be diminished and ultimately removed from them. The rise of China has been the second factor after 9/11 that set alight the rocket boosters below the goal of the USA and its allies achieving total global hegemony in perpetuity. How can the USA and UK monitor the entire world with the wall-to-wall, all-encompassing surveillance required to fulfil the second 9/11 goal (after replacing all unacceptable systems of governance) while powerful nations such as China and Russia exist. Both post 9/11 goals MUST be fulfilled. Better no world at all than one that they cannot control and make eternally safe for themselves.

On the other side we see the desire of nations to continue to exist as sovereign, independent nations in control of their own governance and assured of both security against both external and internal threats. While the western powers use every possible weapon from outright 'war mode' propaganda and misinformation to a wide panoply of undermining activities through NGOs such as the 'National Endowment for Democracy' (NED) these nations can never feel safe. Each nation the USA and UK wish to undermine has been seeded with all manner of means to initiate all manner of means to undermine them. Only now, with an equalisation of geopolitical power due to the rise in power and influence in both China and Russia do they find a means to resist.

Both sides see an enormous existential threat to themselves. The western nations, totally wedded to being able to exert their power worldwide and have their interests protected and expanded while disciplining and punishing others act now like junkies losing their fix. Their irrationality is reaching extremes such as the unconscionable creation of a potentially catastrophic Ukraine policy. China and Russia quite obviously see the danger to themselves from crusading states such as the USA and UK along with their largely impotent proxies across Europe. They will go down fighting and never relinquish their ability to run their nations as sovereign states.

With neither side able or willing to relent and surrender to the dissolution of their powers the world seems destined to experience once again the ravages of another world war. Many are now asking themselves if there is any way to avoid this seemingly unavoidable eventuality. The best minds alive have studied this question and in general describe a total impasse where neither side can afford to relent and back down. Too much is at stake. This is existential for both sides, especially so for China and Russia who stand to lose everything if they lose. On the U.S./UK/EU side all they stand to lose is their long-held ability to manipulate the world in the way they see fit, as its 'cops', 'guardians', 'warders' or however you wish to describe their role.  

Here we stand on the precipice of yet another world war with two sides further apart than ever, firing ever more aggressive words back and forth at each other with one side consistently escalating and the other having to respond in kind. Make no mistake about it, this is America's war with Britain right beside it and Europe tagging along. Russia made every effort through the Minsk process to avoid what is happening now. But the western powers wanted Russia destroyed and its system of governance undermined, eliminated and replaced. The aggressor is clear. The past bridge-building efforts of Russia are clear. Those who have used war as a means to succeed in their goals have not given up the habit. Not at all. Now we reach the very last war of all, the end game war, the war to decide the future of all generations to come. The war of the USA/UK/EU and NATO with Ukraine as the hapless battering ram against the first target, Russia and those of Taiwan against China.

The last world war is in fact, already in progress...
