IF WE ESCAPE OBLITERATION IN A NUCLEAR WAR VIA UKRAINE WHAT COMES NEXT?

If humanity survives the next few months unscathed by a nuclear conflagration between the USA-UK and Russia it will mean that the western powers have backed off from their apparent desire to take their proxy war with Russia via Ukraine all the way to its ultimate conclusion. We can all then breathe a collective sigh of relief. But what comes then?

In the last 24 hours or so, the U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has stated that the USA does not wish to engage in a nuclear war with Russia. Taking him at his word we can all be glad of this fact. The USA, along with those who act in coordination with it, will only continue then to supply the Ukrainian regime only with more finances to prop it up and the weapons they say it needs to achieve ‘victory’. What that victory looks like when Russia is almost ready to overwhelm the forces of Ukraine who continue to engage in a failed counteroffensive is anyone’s guess. However, what will the West be faced with after all the finances and weaponry available have still not done the trick and Russia has demonstrated conclusively that she cannot be beaten?

Will the USA-UK-EU-NATO give up their quest to see Russia weakened, undermined and broken up via Ukraine at that point? This is extremely unlikely. However, simply pouring good money after bad would seem to be an unpalatable option also. At such a point as described above would it not make a lot more sense to do as so many leading analysts and some heads of state (Orban of hungary amongst them) have said and seek a peace settlement through negotiations. Of course this was pursued once before when a Russian delegation agreed with a Ukrainian one in Istanbul in March 2022 that a possible settlement was near at hand. That potential settlement was abandoned under pressure by Boris Johnson who arrived in Kiev to deliver unknown ultimatums to the Ukrainian authorities. So what chance will further negotiations have of establishing the trust necessary to find a way through to an agreement now. The chances must necessarily be slight in these circumstances.

So, unable to defeat Russia and with Ukraine an economic basket case on life support with an army soundly defeated and Russia surging forward to take ever more land what decent options will the USA-UK-EU-NATO-Ukraine alliance have left? Surely extremely few. What possible grounds will there be for Russia to trust anything any of these alliance members say? Havn’t those from this group involved in an even earlier agreement, the Minsk Accords, openly spoken of how they duped Russia over Minsk? Both Angela Merkel of Germany and Petro Poroshenko, then president of Ukraine have stated publicly that they had no intention of seeking the pathway to peace that the Minsk Accords represented. How willing to trust their replacements will Putin and the Russian authorities and people be now? Clearly very unwilling and about as wary of any promises given as can be.

Russia has every incentive to hold onto the territories of Russian-speaking brothers and sisters in the Donbass. It also has every incentive to continue moving forward gaining more territory while the western powers persist in talking of Ukraine joining NATO, one of the most potent reasons why Russia reluctantly took action against the West and its puppet regime in Kiev on February 24th 2022. Russia, left with zero good options at that point, with Minsk having been revealed as a means of tricking Russia, with Ukrainian attacks upon the Russian-speaking populations in the Donbass significantly increasing, with the Ukrainian army now engaging in military exercises with NATO troops, with Zelensky calling for Ukraine to regain its nuclear status, with the country rapidly becoming a de facto NATO state and with the rebuffing of all Russian requests (to both the Biden administration and NATO) that a new security architecture for Europe be created to avoid conflict, Russia had truly nowhere else to go.

That Russia will not give up before she attains her goals via its present Special Military Operation is clear. This is quite obviously an existential matter for Russia which, if it was abandoned would leave Russia and the Russian people open to renewed threats from all the western powers now waging war against her. So Russia giving up anything that would create a renewed threat against her is simply wishful thinking by those opposing her. The Russian-speaking Donbass region will remain as an integral part of the Russian Federation. Ukraine’s almost nine year genocidal war against the people there means it has forfeited the right to demand their return. The western allied forces will sooner or later be required to take full account of this fact and drop their ideological and unreal expectations regarding a victory for Kiev that is simply and totally out of the question. But will they?

The level of internal delusion, wishful thinking and inability to face reality is incredibly strong across most of the powers facing Russia. Their media outlets faithfully mirror the set of delusional narratives and one-sided, ‘war mode’ fabrications of their state officials. Myopically-fixed group thought analyses spewed out from a compliant mix of CIA psyop teams, think tanks and jingoistic media editors have generated an opaque wall of propaganda and disinformation where logical and pragmatic thought processes have long since ceased to exist. The likelihood is therefore that not even the reality of an overwhelming level of victory by Russia will be ignored while the various combined lie factors of the West continue to pour out the same fictitious rhetoric on Ukraine as before.

Where does this leave the promise of Blinken that there will be no nuclear war? With the West determined to push forward indefinitely with its effort to defeat Russia with not the slightest intention to relent, how can we be certain of or rely upon Blinken’s words? For Russia at least the word of anyone associated with those waging war against it now, in light of past betrayals, surely amounts to nothing. In Russian minds now it must also surely be the case that those they are fighting will only understand one thing and one thing only, total and utter defeat. They undoubtedly scorn the idea that any of the western deceivers or its minions in Kiev can be trusted. The only thing the Russian people and its leaders can rely upon now is the capacity of their military to prevail over all obstacles facing it, take all blows hitting it suffers on the road to that victory, to persevere no matter what comes, and to achieve the total and absolute victory that no one anywhere can any longer doubt. At this point and only at this point will all Russia’s goals be addressed with any sincerity by those who have shown themselves in the past to be totally untrustworthy.
