There can surely be no question about the state of our world currently. Aggression is peaking. We are living in a time of even greater danger than that experienced by humanity during the Cold War.
There has never been a more dangerous time for humanity. We stand on the threshold of an absolute nightmare. It is clear that the entity known as the collective west is now completely rogue and will have no compunction about striking out in flagrant violation of any and all existing laws. Whether those laws are founded in ethical conduct, moral conduct or founded in agreed international law. The elites who have taken power across the western world along with those who are either willingly in their camp or who feel they are unable to extricate themselves, will cover for any crime committed, justify it to their populations by obvious lies and go on to commit even more such crimes.
No one in the West should have any remaining faith in the probity of those who are running their nations in these times. It is a sickening thought to contemplate but the fact is that they are criminals who will stop at nothing to maintain every aspect of their power, including the use of nuclear weapons if they deem this to be necessary. These words may be read by many who are sceptical of such warnings as just so much more unwarranted alarm. Well, we will see. Look at what Israel is doing now, it is completely out of control and sees no reason why it should worry about breaking any law it cares to. This attitude will be seen to infect all those who are supporting it also, primarily the USA and UK with many across Europe doing so also.
What, you might ask, is the reason for this headlong drive to war? Why can’t these divisions between nations be lessened by attempts to establish understanding? Why has diplomacy vanished from our world? Wasn’t it the way we managed to get here in one piece? Don’t these leaders understand this basic principle of geopolitics, talk to your enemy. You can talk all you like to your friends and nothing changes. Talk to those you regard as your enemy if you truly seek peace. And there lies the problem, the western powers show no indication whatsoever that they want peace. They clearly want more and ever more war.
Russia has survived everything the western powers have thrown at it. Every attack upon Russian industry, financial institutions, economy and social structure has failed. They wanted to bring Russia to its knees via Ukraine and blocked every path to peace that Vladimir Putin sought to take, manipulating him into a position where he had only one way through and that was by mounting Russia’s special military operation. Even then, within a month Russia was attempting to find a way to stop the fighting through a negotiated settlement. This took place first in Belarus and then in Turkey. As one of the chief Ukrainian negotiators said, Russia’s primary goal was ensuring Ukraine did not join NATO but agreed to be a neutral buffer state instead. The western powers made sure that Ukraine would not agree to this and persuaded the regime in Kiev to keep fighting instead.
Almost 500,000 Ukrainian troops have died since those fateful moments when the western powers convinced the Ukrainian regime that it should keep fighting with their unlimited support. The aim of the West is to weaken Russia, to create widespread dismay among the Russian population with a view to instigating regime change, to then mobilise powerful enough to bring down all structures of authority in the country and replace them, just as they did in the various other countries they targeted. Just as they did in Ukraine’s capital Kiev in 2014. Once the change of power was achieved Russia was to be Balkanised, split up into numerous sectors, ensuring it would never dare oppose the United States and its allies ever again.
The people who are running states in support of the neocon majority who have had control of the levers of power since 9/11 are dedicated to the above result no matter the cost. And that cost would also be paid in human lives, perhaps millions of human lives. Their rabid dedication to undermining and breaking Russia apart is total and unwavering. Those behind this have left all doubt and reason behind them, they are zealots who will never bring themselves to think or act otherwise. They reinforce their insane ideas and plans constantly in a groupthink belief bubble where there are zero alternative options to all out war and the consequences be damned. This is why the collective west is capable of anything now.
