HOW WILL THE WEST RID THEMSELVES OF THEIR FAILED PROJECT, THE ZELENSKY PEST

It must surely be clear to every single political leader across the western world by now that Russia is more than capable of staying the course in the Donbass and that sooner or later the current Ukrainian regime with Zelensky at its head will be defeated.

But will they admit this? They will not. So what will they do about the regime’s primary symbol, this comedian cum dictator who they have placed upon a glorious shining white pedestal for so long now?

How will the West rid themselves of the Zelensky pest when association with him is only an extremely unwelcome reminder of abject failure and total humiliation?

It must strongly be suspected that they will continue to love bomb him while at the very same time they nudge him to the sidelines, abandoning the poor wretch to his ignominious fate in order to mount a rearguard attempt to save their own filthy arses.

As his cynical and wholly callous project in the Donbass goes down the tubes it is very likely that they will continue to sing his praises and all the while these politicians will pray for the speediest departure of this most dangerous liability for them. His failure will be their failure unless they disassociate themselves. So he MUST go, though it mustn’t appear that he has been pushed. They cannot be SEEN to be stabbing their “glorious hero” in the back. That would not be the right look. So, his praises must continue to be sung, perhaps leaving aside the previous references to Winston Churchill however, that piece of ridiculously embarrassing hyperbole will be left in the (they hope) soon to be forgotten past. They must avoid going too far in any self-discomforting direction while they arrange the many sharp knives they have prepared for that ordure-coloured back of his.

Word will be spread by the most secret of channels. Zelensky is ‘out’. Soon to be persona non grata, a parasite locked out of all news studios, garden parties, corridors of power and most definitely out of polite conversation among the western high and mighty political elites. Suddenly the invitations to speak here, there and everywhere will cease, the phone will no longer ring even as his shell-like ears still ring with ego-flattering praises while his very short back senses needle-like pricks of a thousand knife-points.

He will be love-bombed and held at arm's length concurrently until he shuffles off into obscurity, seeking to rekindle a dead career as a third-rate comedian. Failing at this latter pursuit he will no doubt plunge into an ever deeper bout of clinical depression, growling at maids and servants almost completely alone in his palatial domain in either Switzerland or Israel, a beaten man, shunned by all those who used to shower him with praises.

It is either a case of continuing to praise him as he is eased out, down and shown the exit… or play the mean-spirited blame game hitting him with every semantic weapon available describing his failure to do this, comply with that or take the directions from his allies that would have brought success and ultimate victory. If he had only been honest, not hidden vital information from those who were “trying to do everything possible for him and his country”. To no avail. He simply failed to deliver, failed to be told, failed to conduct himself properly as requested and began asking for too much while he provided so little. This is the alternative way to protect western political arses while handing Zelensky his on a plate.

The possibility that Zelensky will be afflicted in due course by some form of severe mental illness, quite possibly megalomania, grow his hair and fingernails a la Howard Hughes and become a recluse should not be discounted. Every now and then some adventurous young journo will brave the high security luxury lock-up he almost never leaves and report back on the dishevelled mouse of a man he found wearing still the same dirty yellow-brown t-shirt, bearing a dirty week-long beard with pieces of cheese dangling within it now and again uttering plaintive growls of piteous anger aimed at the whole world that has betrayed him. A sorry sight of gruesome self-pity that no one anywhere could ever find it in themselves to pity by return.

The glory days gone, his virtual throne having been shattered into a million pieces, unable to return to what is left for fear of being lynched, hung up from a common lamp post and set alight, he will reach his complete nadir, rejected by all but the viciously curious, determined to see what has become of the louse that thought he was a king, the miserable fake peacemaker who decided to take on a nuclear power and lose the lives of almost half a million of his fellow Ukrainians, still moaning in total self-interest about his “poor” self.

He will look in vain for some contact with any of his previous admirers, no phone call gets through to the White House, not exactly a viable gambit anyway as Biden is no longer there, now in a home for the mentally decrepit. Scholz is now on a farm in Bavaria having given up politics altogether along with Baerbock, very nearly tarred and feathered on a Berlin street one night who then realized the game was up with her and her campaign of hatred toward Russia that had so damaged Germany. Macron? Also gone, replaced by Le Pen. Zelensky no longer had any of his former political playmates to call on, not that any of them wanted to know him anymore anyway. One after another this gruesome crew had gone. Every politician who had sat at his feet gushing praises or polished his halo, had left the political stage soon after shafting him in an attempt to save themselves.

Meanwhile… a few thousand kilometres away, a man pauses amid his daily exercise regimen and ponders the poor Zelensky a while. His thoughts are not without compassion for the man and yet… and yet… he cannot allow himself to feel over sympathetic to the man who let himself be persuaded to choose war, not peace, a suicidal resistance rather than a mutually-beneficial agreement, a man who had led his nation to a catastrophic avoidable tragedy and cost so VERY many Ukrainian lives. After a few thoughts of this kind he turns his thoughts to the current tasks at hand to move Russia forward establishing ever higher standards for every last Russian man, woman and child.

HAPPY WITH THIS WORLD OF WAR OR DO YOU LONG FOR ANOTHER ONE ALTOGETHER?

The political elites of the USA won’t stop in their attempt to force the non-compliant elements of the rest of the world to mirror their systems and values.

That the U.S. systems and values are increasingly being seen negatively in terms of their results, i.e. drug epidemics of various kinds, religious extremism by way of cults and hyper-wealthy mega-churches, doubtful food and water quality, drive-by killings and myriad forms of social dysfunction including school shootings, domestic violence, road rage, odd attitudes surrounding gender plus cancel culture, wokeism and a hundred difference signs of  dysfunction.

Is the above what you want for your nation? If not, why would you wish to abandon your own traditional systems of governance, tried, tested and mostly trusted, if they work tolerably well and then take on those of the USA?

In addition to the mess that is taking place within the USA we have the mess that its elites have been making far from their shores. So enamoured are they by their nation that they insist others forsake whatever stability they have found and become like them. And if these nations refuse the North Americans have whole organisations dedicated to making them do so. With proxy wars initiated within them, or at the very least the instigation of mass upheaval, political instability and a campaign of infiltrated subversion the USA and its non-governmental organisations have ways to make nations ‘see sense’.

The wars that break out and fragment societies worldwide, often if not always engendered from the nations of the collective west on their transformative quest for the world are seen as normal developments back in Langley, Virginia and Washington DC. More grist to the multi-generational mill in the quest to convert every nation to a one-size-fits-all political shape to suit those who know best but who preside over countries coming apart at the seams.

Well, now there is a choice. If you are even slightly queasy about the forever war that the elites of the USA (both political and media) are waging well at long last you have another option that has only recently come on the table. It consists of the option offered by a group of nations that have as their constituency the largest proportion of humans on the planet. These are the nations of Asia, Eurasia and the Global South. China, India and now steadily Africa are shaping up to provide an alternative global paradigm, a peaceful, agreement-oriented coalition of nations who are sick of the western ways of doing things.

BRICS, the economic grouping consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are rapidly being joined by a great many others, currently consisting of over twenty more nations. Other groupings are similarly oriented toward building relationships within their eastern spheres of influence, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) the Eurasian Union and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). These organisations and groupings overlap and are rapidly coalescing in the goal of creating a brand new, gold-based currency to compete globally with the U.S. dollar. The bully on the block is now going to be faced up to by the new kid on the block and this new kid has learned many new tricks the now elderly, weakening bully will find impossible to counter.

The old world is dying, the world where old powers, far too sure of themselves and considering themselves entitled without mandate to rule the world. These old powers have oceans of blood on their hands, blood that they can no longer hide behind slick public relations campaigns. Their bully-boy tactics of threat, blackmail, violence and every form of arm-twisting known to Man are not going to work anymore, or at least not as they once did. The new kid on the block means the weak nations the western bully used to dominate with ease now have a friend with muscle to call upon and align behind. The world of war that acted as the bloody playground for western political elites for so long is about ready to disappear.

So, are you ready? Mental bags packed to go on this trip of a lifetime, to realise a few dreams… over there in that place you wished you’d see as the number one location on your bucket list, a world that measured up to your most idealistic of thoughts? Somewhere where the wisest heads found ways to agree across national boundaries? Where agreement, not aggression was the general way of things. Where cultural exchange always trumped confrontation? Where traditional values, tried, tested and trusted were not ridiculed but respected? Where honesty and integrity came back into fashion? And where wars become only a distant memory as sustainable solutions are worked out through communication and attempts at understanding?

Too good to be true? Well, watch this space…

Or, are you happy to have all remain just as it is, forever wars and all?

WHAT ARE THE UKRAINIAN ARMY’S CHANCES OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS?

Currently the Ukrainian military, despite the protestations of its top general, is conducting sporadic attacks on Russian positions in preparation for a long-awaited counteroffensive. The Russian positions being attacked however are not those that have been displayed in the news in recent weeks, they are not those with anti-tank dragon’s teeth and vast array of trenches, dugouts and heavily armoured positions. The areas where Ukrainian attacks are taking place are part of the grey zone, the disputed regions many kilometres from Russian defensive lines.

How are they doing there?

Without air cover and outgunned many times over regarding artillery the Ukrainians are finding it extremely difficult to make any serious headway. They have taken some eight villages within the grey zone so far, some of which they have subsequently lost again. During the attacks they have had major losses regarding both men and materiel. The majority of the so-called ‘game changer’ ‘Leopard 2’ tanks received from various NATO states including Germany, have been destroyed. Absent anything approaching air cover to protect attacking troops, or those moving forward in the hope of attacking, the Ukrainian military, in coordination with NATO are using HIMARS and Stormshadow missiles to take out Russian artillery and ammunition dumps.

It is certain that in the next few days the Ukrainian military will initiate a concerted attempt to achieve some major success. This is due to the necessity to create an event of sufficient magnitude to impress those attending the next NATO summit which starts on July eleventh in Vilnius, Lithuania. Already, today, July 4th there has been a large-scale Ukrainian assault on Russian artillery and munitions supply in the region of Bakhmut/Arteomovsk. These assaults using HIMARS/Stormshadow missiles were many by comparison with anything seen elsewhere across the battle lines either today or in fact on any previous day. On the face of it this indicates that Arteomovsk/Bakhmut may well be the site of the spectacular event the Ukrainian regime needs to impress its NATO sponsors on July 11th to 12th. Of course tomorrow may bring a similar series of strikes elsewhere. We will see.

Apart from arranging some kind of spectacular achievement, how do Ukrainian chances stand at the moment?

The last month since the Ukrainian military began moving its forces toward the outer Russian lines has been a dismal failure during which a massive number of Ukrainians have died and an equally massive number of military vehicles have been destroyed. Russia has maintained air superiority over the entire period and particular use of the Russian ‘Alligator’ helicopter has proven devastating against both troops and vehicles. Ukraine has been unable to down a singly aircraft of the Russian air force during this period. The Ukrainians appear to have been totally unprepared also for the Russian minefield with many Ukrainian military vehicles hitting mines on a regular basis. Russia has deployed a distance mining methodology which has succeeded in taking out Ukrainian forces and vehicles when they both advance and retreat to regroup before advancing once more.

As regards replenishment of numbers the Ukrainians have once again resorted to forced conscription into the Ukrainian army. The vast majority of trained Ukrainian troops have been taken off the battlefield either killed or severely wounded over the near 18 previous months. This was due in most part to Ukrainian high command fighting over every square kilometre of territory, throwing troops into areas where they were wiped out at a rate of some 400 to 600 per day. The freshly conscripted recruits being forced into the Ukrainian army now receive at best two weeks training before being sent to the front. By contrast Russia has conserved its forces, keeping them in relatively safe positions while Russian artillery softens up Ukrainian positions to the required extent before sending them in. Regarding fresh forces Russia is experiencing an ongoing surge of volunteers wishing to join the Russian army numbering some 1,500 per day. The volunteers are receiving several months training before being given limited experience of the battle front before receiving even more training behind the line of conflict.

As with western armouries the stock of Ukrainian weaponry and ammunition-supply is fast dwindling. In addition, Russia is targeting and destroying between four and eight Ukrainian arms dumps per day on average. This has got to have an effect eventually along with Russia taking out railway infrastructure, arms dumps and vehicle repair workshops on a regular basis. Then we must add the undoubted superiority of Russian air power, only partially utilised to date. As stated before, Russia has air superiority and this superiority is growing by the day. Only today, July 4th Russia brought down two Ukrainian planes, one of which was flying quite some way from Russian lines at the time. In recent weeks Russia has successfully put several new military satellites in orbit which are now providing extremely accurate data on Ukrainian positions, hardware and troop movements.

If there is a surge of attacks from the Ukrainians over the next few days as expected it may well be enough to sufficiently impress those attending the NATO summit. Ukraine’s sponsors will then no doubt promise yet another tranche of money and promises of more weapons… though not, it is thought, a promise of F16 fighters. The most likely promise will be the immediate transfer of Lockheed-Martin MGM-140 ATACMS tactical missiles. These will be described as the latest ‘game changer’ weapons with which Ukraine will “win” the war. However, as with all previous ‘game changer’ weapons this is almost inevitably not going to live up to the name. The array of Russian forces and military might is simply too great for any so-called ‘game changer’ device to make that much of a difference.

No doubt the Ukrainians will make as much use of the ATACMS missiles as they have of the HIMARS and Stormshadow missiles that preceded them which though significant (at least at first) certainly did not change the direction of the conflict which has never varied for any significant time throughout the last eighteen months of combat. Russia has taken a vast amount of territory and has waged a war of attrition against rapidly dwindling Ukrainian forces for a large proportion of the last six months at the very least. A partial mobilisation took place in Russia around six months ago which added some 300,000 additional troops from reserve forces who had already served and an additional 70,000 or so volunteers who went immediately into many months of training. All these additional Russian troops are either manning the enormously long, multi-layered defensive positions awaiting any Ukrainians breaking through from the grey zone or are now active on the front lines.

So, what are the Ukraine military’s chances?

The word negligible is probably the term most appropriate. Naturally there will be occasional successes here and there but will they make a fundamental difference, will they seriously and permanently breach Russian lines of defence? It is just possible that one attack may come close and appear to have done so. But what will the Russian response be after making a tactical withdrawal perhaps? Will they throw their hands up and surrender? Unlikely. The most likely scenario is an extremely massive attack on any such Ukrainian forces including their routes of supply. They will be in short order surrounded in what the Russians term a ‘cauldron’ and annihilated. This is the most likely scenario even in the event of a breach in Russian lines.

These are the chances that Ukraine has currently, use the remaining stock of HIMARS and Stormshadow missiles plus whatever drones they have left in one concerted forward movement also including a vast wave of infantry to attempt by sheer force of numbers to break through the Russian wall of death awaiting them. Estimates of how many Ukrainians are likely to die in such a suicide campaign vary but the figure is unlikely to be lower than 25,000 and this is likely too low an estimate. The remainder of western weaponry including the British ‘Challenger’ tanks are likely also to be destroyed also.

Would you like to bet on the chances of a Ukrainian victory? Perhaps keep that shirt on your back? Losing it would leave yourself and the entire political elite of the west naked and terribly exposed to ridicule and humiliation having bet everything on what should be quite clear to you now, is a losing bet.

THE GREATEST WAR OF ALL: THE WAR FOR WORLD DOMINANCE OR GLOBAL TOLERANCE

The power of the affluent western coalition of nations has, until this current epoch, held sway across our world. These jealous nations have worked on a constant basis to maintain and expand their reach and influence in order to continually extend and deepen their power. Individuals, groups, nations and systems of governance that have challenged this power have been relentlessly attacked, undermined, weakened and wherever possible eliminated. These acts of aggression have been justified through the concepts of exceptionalism using the buzzwords ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy’.

Whether the motivations behind the buzzwords above that seek to justify the constant aggressive responses by the western nations we have seen building in recent years is sincere or not can of course be argued. Whether the true motivations are purely of an idealistic nature or are wholly self-seeking has divided geopolitical thought between the two sides involved. The consequences of the attitude of western leaders however, are clear. They are all very fresh in our memories and most alive today aged 30 and above know of them. The names of the nations involved are sufficient to bring them to the fore. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen have recently been added to a host of others such as Vietnam along with the Latin American nations who have suffered at the hands of the USA in particular.

Whatever geopolitical position we hold one thing is clear, the United States and its allies are involved in a mission to transform the world. The leaders of all nations on the U.S. side of the divide all speak from the same hymn sheet; we are fighting for the ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy’ that we enjoy to be spread worldwide. The desire to effect their plans for the regions of the world resistant to them overrides most previously accepted rules regarding national sovereignty. Especially since the inception of the so-called ‘War On Terror’ initiated after 9/11 the political elites of the USA and its allies have refused to accept the principle of national sovereignty as a barrier. Now, twenty years after 9/11 the USA and its allies clearly consider that they have the right to intervene within any nation worldwide that they choose to and to effect fundamental changes within them.

The backlash to the above has been slow in coming. The vast majority of nations sympathised with the people of the USA regarding the events of 9/11. Vladimir Putin of Russia for example was one of the first to phone then U.S. president George W. Bush and offer Russia’s assistance. For years after 9/11 almost no one of any stature across the world criticised the USA and the entire mass media elite certainly refrained almost completely from printing a single word critical of its acts of war. Only when it became clear that the United States along with the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ had attacked and invaded Iraq on a false premise regarding weapons of mass destruction did criticisms begin to emerge, though even then quite muted in form.

Since the debacle in Iraq began, continuing to this day, we saw the chaotic withdrawal of the West’s military from Afghanistan. Between times Libya was attacked by NATO and destabilised, a condition we also see to this very day. In Syria a horrendous, almost decade-long conflict, saw a disastrous U.S. intervention along with its then allies in the Middle East, aiding and abetting a terrorist insurgency in the hope of defeating its army and unseating its president, government and systems of governance. These are all effects of the goal to achieve liberal hegemony and the ostensible delivery of ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy’ worldwide.

The goal mentioned above continues, spurred on by the events on 9/11 but long preceding that awful day. Those behind ‘The New American Century’ project, those named ‘neoconservatives’ or ‘neocons’ had long had this goal as a subset of the general notions of ‘exceptionalism’ and ‘superiority’ held by the U.S. and UK political elites. The goal is none other than the total transformation of the rest of the world not currently being governed in the manner the USA and UK in particular demand. For this transformation to take place all nations not in compliance with U.S. and UK requirements are to be targeted for regime change by whatever means these nations regard as necessary.

This is the war being fought by the USA and its allies now, a war that had its nascent origins in much earlier times where the concepts of western exceptionalism and superiority over others first began to reveal themselves. These are the eras where the genocide of the native population of North America occurred, where the slave trade prospered and where the mass exploitation of colonialism reigned. All of the criminal abuse, aggression and inhumanity inherent in the racist concepts of exceptionalism and superiority over others that underpin the western elite view were seen in their most gross form in these times and arguably are still evident today. The collective west still conceives itself to be the best, most perfect and most obviously superior and thoroughly exceptional example that all others should follow.

None of the attitudes above take account of the economic history or present day reality of the majority of nations the USA and its allies wish to impose their will upon. The majority of nations targeted for transformation are far poorer than the western states demanding this transformation within them. These nations still retain many of the traditional ways of life that have enabled them to survive in economic conditions not conducive to the kind of affluence seen in the West. These traditional ways of life generally emphasise self-discipline, honesty and dedication to community. Stretching back to ancient history the common factor has been for all to work for the benefit of the many within the strictures necessitated by the paucity of resources. Abundance in ancient societies was relatively rare. Now the forerunners of these societies, still not in a position of excess wealth and constant affluence are being told they must abandon their tried and trusted ways, their long-held traditional modes of culture, society and governance.

The nations above are increasingly banding together to resist the insistence of the West that they MUST change or be changed by them. The order of things that they have known as natural and that they are deeply attached to and for good reason are under threat. Covert actions and at times overt actions by the affluent nations of the West are designed to subvert and undermine their systems, psychological operations and even sabotage are among the tactics that are being used to wage this war for ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy’. They have no right to be free of these attacks it seems. They have no vote where these are concerned. The USA, UK and other affluent nations in Europe have determined how they should think, the beliefs they should have and most important of all, what systems of governance they should have.

The First World War which raged from 28 July 1914 – 11 November 1918 resulted in the following:

‘An estimated 9 million soldiers were killed in combat, plus another 23 million wounded, while 5 million civilians died as a result of military action, hunger, and disease.’

That war, World War I, was at the time named as, ‘The Great War’ and was seen to be so terrible and never to be seen again that it was described as ‘The war to end all wars’. Sadly this was to be far from true. Now we live in the time of what could be described as the greatest war of them all, the war that will determine the fate of the entire world. When one side or the other win the current war then this will indeed be the war to end all wars for its conclusion will leave one side or the other rendered totally impotent to begin another. If the USA and its allies win they will totally dominate and have complete control via surveillance and power to punish, they will regulate who can be free and who are valid candidates for election. Only within these parameters will there be ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy’. Why would they allow an opposition to them to grow? They would not leave themselves once again vulnerable to any such development.

If the Asian, Eurasian and Global South nations manage to resist the war of aggression being waged against them by the collective West as described above what would the global outlook be then? If current statements, projects and plans remain as of now then a tolerance for diverse forms of governance worldwide would appear to be the order of the day. Discussions leading to agreements would be the favoured method to find peaceful pathways to resolve problematic areas, cooperation rather than tooth and claw competition would prevail, war would cease to exist as a means to effect nationalistic ambitions and the supreme forum for resolution of areas of confliction would solely be the United Nations, not the individual desires or exceptionalist tendencies of individual nations who proclaim THEIR values as the only appropriate values for all.

UKRAINE: HARD FACTS ON THE GROUND HAVE TRUMPED MEDIA/POLITICAL SPIN

Since Russia set herself free of the constraints put upon her by the western powers she became free to assert her rights protecting her national interests within her local sphere of influence.

The virtual stranglehold that western power has had over the world in general has been vastly loosened in recent years. China was first to effect this to any major extent. Now Russia has followed suit.

Other nations are increasingly obdurate against western influence due to waning western power to harm them. Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Syria for example. Others still, who until recently could be considered strong or relatively secure western/U.S. allies or at least friendly/neutral toward these are now wary of commitment or are increasingly negative. Saudi Arabia, Turkey and India are a few examples.

The western powers sought to exercise their accustomed ability to shape global events in response to Russia’s seemingly reckless invasion of Ukraine on February 24th. In light of the until then apparently still powerful ability of the West to respond it did indeed appear reckless. The expectation was (and the threat had already been made) that the western powers would wreak havoc in the Russian economy through the mother of all sanctions policies. However, Russia had clearly prepared the ground carefully as we now see.

The situation we now find ourselves in is quite extraordinary. What was supposed to be a devastating series of attacks that was meant to render Russia a bankrupt supplicant crawling to the West for mercy has resulted in an outcome that has turned the tables completely on the West. It is the western world that reels in agony with successive boomerang blows from a supremely counteractive sanctions policy on Russia.

Meanwhile, as the West rather than Russia succumbs to economic and financial turmoil Russia’s campaign in Ukraine is very close to achieving most of its goals. Concurrently the Russian economy is beginning to prosper, its currency has hardened in extraordinary fashion, it has a new, robust payments mechanism replacing SWIFT, prices are stabilising and reducing, Russian entrepreneurs are filling the corporate slots abandoned by western enterprises and new trading partners are being found at what must be an alarming rate for western onlookers.

While all this was going on we had what appeared to be the unstoppable rise of Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy, backed by the assistance of the entire panoply of western power alongside that of every western mainstream media outlet and a vast array of ad hoc social support organisations created from outrage, sympathy and anger with over fifty public relations companies adding to and coordinating the charge, was on a roll.

Money and weaponry flowed in what appeared to be an endless waterfall into Ukraine. There appeared to be no limit to the help that was to be extended. The sky was the limit. Politicians agreed that Ukraine should receive all it needed with few voices urging any caution or accountability in this respect. The many spin machines in operation were working overtime. That of the Ukrainian regime itself was no exception. Whatever stories were required were produced, one following the other to keep the weapon and cash jamboree running at top speed.

Purported atrocities by Russia came one after another, or better said, created for western public consumption. News from the front was adjusted, turned through 180 degrees to produce headlines that gave the right impression and spun the required tale. The Ukrainian fighters were lionised, portrayed as shining heroes bravely combating evil (meanwhile ignoring their torturing of Russian prisoners of war and their use of schools, hospitals and Ukrainian homes as their bases).

The spin all turned in one direction only, that which was positive for Ukraine, negative for Russia and that which generated a constant flow of weaponry and money into Ukraine. This was all grist to the western military complex mill also. Weapons stocks being rapidly depleted in the USA and across NATO allies would have to be replaced, new and very profitable contracts signed and the downward graph of profits seen after U.S. military withdrawals in the Middle east reversed.

This circle of advantageous events for both Ukraine and those who profited from the assistance given appeared likely to run successfully until what was talked about as Ukraine’s victory. That is until the last week or so when the triumphant jamboree bubble began to rapidly deflate. Ukraine, as opposed to triumphantly beating Russia with every passing day in chest-thumping splendour was suddenly and very shockingly perceived in reality to be losing heavily and at a level that could no longer be denied.

An article by the New York Times, undoubtedly informed by some in elite political and military circles that indicates the Ukrainian spin machine was even turned upon them. The article indicates that the top brass of the West were also manipulated along with western population as a whole. It seems, according to the article, that Ukraine had supplied the West’s elites with what was deemed useful rather than that which was truthful. The arch manipulators had been skilfully manipulated.

Now that what appears to have been a campaign of wholesale deception on at least two levels, to the western elites and thence to the western populace, the backlash cannot help now but be underway. I predict a souring of the relationship with Zelenskyy and with the Ukrainian regime project in general. This in addition to a softening of attitudes toward Russia to obviate further devastating consequences across western economies.

This all in a matter of two short months. We truly live in extraordinary times.

And arguably the primary moral of this tale?

HARD FACTS ON THE GROUND ALWAYS, EVENTUALLY, TRUMP MEDIA/POLITICAL SPIN

NATIONS EXPLOITED BY THE WEST FOR YEARS ARE NOW ESCAPING ITS GRASP

The weight of history lies heavy on all western allies in these extraordinary days we experience now. Their exploits far from their shores over the past century and more have come back to haunt them. These are burdens that come with any control of an empire. The current fall from grace and power of influence across the global south by the West has its origins long ago in the eras of genocide, slavery, plunder, colonialism and exploitation. Reputations built upon these activities do not harm the perpetrators while they maintain a sufficient degree of power over their victims past and present. When the level of power over them is overwhelming of course they tend to be almost totally silent. However, once the western grip slackens and once powers rise that they can align with for protection (such as China and Russia) this changes everything.

The entire world is witnessing the change described above at this, arguably, most crucial time in geopolitical world history. We are at a watershed moment where power and influence are shifting at an unprecedented rate and pace from west to east. The nations of Eurasia and the Global South are realigning themselves at this moment in history where they at long last have the ability to do so. This is seen through diverse changes in what have previously been accepted norms of geopolitical behaviour. The most shocking and unexpected of these has been the reversal of policy by Saudi Arabia, a nation that has in the past been one of the strongest adherents of what became for many the ‘ally with the USA’ norm. This is no longer the rule, in fact it is becoming an extremely rare exception to the rule that has prevailed for so long now.

The USA and its closest ally, the UK have attempted to run the world since the end of WWII. If this is too strong a statement perhaps you will agree to the lesser claim that they were attempting to be the primary controlling influence over the world. During the earliest period of  the post-war years they conceived this to be a necessary consequence of having prevailed against the Nazis. Russia of course was crucial in the defeat of the Nazis but this fact was quickly removed from discussion as the Cold War set in. The mythology that prevailed was that the valiant U.S. and UK had won the war due to the fortitude of their elites in standing up to and defeating Hitler. With Europe devastated, with the UK hugely indebted and much of the world reduced to near poverty, who else was going to dominate (and profit) but the USA?

The mythologies that have bolstered North American pride down the years, the pioneering spirit, the self-reliance, pride in achievement, entrepreneurial skill and media professionalism all contributed to giving its population the certainty that it was up to them to “solve” the problems of the world and make each nation into a shining example of how perfect they, their business practices and products, their religious beliefs and their systems of governance were. It felt like the natural order of things with God in his Heaven smiling down on them and urging them on to achieve the ‘manifest destiny’ he had bequeathed them and had charged them with fulfilling. This now almost innate desire to engage with the world and mould each nation into a perfect image of their own nation stemmed from ‘good intentions’.

It was not the intent of the average North American to harm other nations. But at the same time there was a certain virtuous circle involved whereby their acts of assistance generated enormous income for home industries. The high employment and subsequent higher living standards experienced in the Fifties are now seen as the golden age of the North American lifestyle, a time of innocence to a degree when the USA was prospering as the clear winner of WWII. No thought appears to have been given to the inevitable growth of other nations or that they may now always be beholden to the USA and that they would begin to be self-sufficient in many, if not all, the goods that U.S. businesses now sold them. These were the good times and it was felt they were here to stay.

Nations of the historically poor global south began watching the actions of the USA carefully as the Korean War played out, then the Vietnam War. The mythology of the ever-successful and powerful USA began to lose some of its effect. In Egypt Gamal Abdel Nasser Hussein, becoming prime minister in 1954 proceeded to nationalise the Suez Canal. This move, which directly affected western profits, signalled a move away from the notion that the West was all-powerful. The subsequent humiliation of British forces sent to reverse Nasser’s nationalisation emphasised that a sea change had occurred. Of course the success of the West’s long war against the Soviet Union brought Egypt back into line eventually… until now.

‘Egypt has participated in expanded talks within the bloc referred to as "friends of BRICS," which also comprises Argentina, Bangladesh, Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Comoros, Cuba, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.’

The Fifties, the heyday of U.S. economic and social success seems a very distant memory (or indeed fabled legend) to most North Americans these days. Riven by a multitude of problems ranging from mass unemployment, collapsing industries, decaying infrastructure, drug deaths, tent cities, regime change war weariness, and political deadlock/corruption, most Americans see their nation moving in totally the wrong direction. With social standards decaying in front of conservative eyes due to the unaccountable rise of wokeism, cancel culture and an apparent ‘anything goes’ attitude that appears rife among the liberal elites of  the nation and a new embracing of foreign wars among them is it any surprise that the leaders of the global south look on askance?

So who do the leaders of Asia, Africa and Eurasia look to in response to what they see happening in the United States? Naturally they look to the nations that reflect similar traditional values as they do. These nations have not had the experience or privilege of almost unlimited wealth and seemingly unending success as has been experienced by the USA in the past and at times (though less obviously) the United Kingdom. It has been conservative, traditional values, hard won over generations and the disciples that derive from those traditions that have kept them from the poverty that awaits them otherwise. Not for them the ‘anything goes’, ‘do as you like’ culture that they see infesting most of the western world. To take on such values would mean disaster for these nations and they know that without a shadow of a doubt.

In this day and age technology and software are supposed to solve everything and the western world has graduated away from industries that made things into “industries” that offered a service. One of these “industries” that arguably produces nothing (but occasional bouts of abject misery) is the financial industry of stock market investments. Money making money, or at least this is the hope. The values underlying the ‘making a fast buck’ along with the cutthroat era of casino capitalism has created a great many victims over the years and in North America in particular. This is another aspect of the western lifestyle and general systems overarching everything that traditionally poorer nations could well do without. When they turn to China these days they know that such investments are a far safer bet.

The regime change wars of choice that the collective west has indulged in over the last near two decades have been the final factor on top of all else for the nations now migrating their allegiances east. The apparently unceasing desire of western political elites shared by their media friends, to interrupt and fragment the building of relationships that don’t suit them is no longer being tolerated as before. More than this there is now a clear disgust regarding the fact that the political elites of the West so harmed the world while preening themselves on their “goodness” and the “righteous” nature of these wars. One nation after another was rendered devastated, unstable and a potential threat to order in nations far from western shores but in close proximity to those in the Middle East and closely connected nations and entire continents.

Now we see the African continent realigning, one nation after another, with the BRICS group while strengthening economic ties with both China and Russia. In a number of African nations we see portraits of Vladimir Putin held high in protests along with Russian flags being proudly and hopefully raised. We see colonialist power such as France heavily criticised and encouraged to leave and quit their interfering policies where Africa is concerned. The trend is decisively to steer quickly and resolutely away from the influence and power over them of the western cabal of nations and to align with confidence and resolute determination with their own regional superpower, China. The trend in Africa and in Middle Eastern countries as well as those of Eurasia and Asia appears unstoppable at this point.

The acts down the previous century and long before that made the elites of western nations regarded as invaders, exploiters and illegal, immoral, sources of massive interference were always known. Until recently the opinions and freedom of movement of those who knew of these iniquities created a silent resentment and reluctant obedience to those western “masters”. Now however, the times have changed. Those nations of the West that could threaten with impunity, cause damage and blackmail, twist arms and deliver death and destruction at will if they so desired, are now in a state of inner decay and increasing outward impotence. Now is the time for the nations made victims by these western elite criminals to wrest their long-desired and longed for freedom, connect with those of similar outlook and experience and escape from their western tormentors forever.

THE NEW RUSSIAN CENTURY

The entire western world is in steep decline. The USA, its primary head without democratic mandate, is in the process of decapitating itself through its Ukraine policy. Collateral damage is being felt across its allies in the UK and European Union.

Meanwhile, the nations of the global south are treating the West’s demand that they criticize and ostracise themselves from Russia with disdain.

The geopolitical world has clearly reached a watershed moment. The power to command, dominate, manipulate and threaten the entire world from Washington and Whitehall is dissipating steadily on a daily basis.

As one power falls another rises.

China is by far the greatest power facing the USA and its proxies. China is the economic peer competitor to the USA and a constant expansion in its influence is being felt in areas the West has considered its own fiefdoms until now. We can see the U.S. and its proxies doing all they can to undermine the expansion of China’s win-win economic connections with other nations across Asia and beyond. Its war against China is still at the nascent stage with the main battles still ahead.

It is none other than Russia however that has taken upon itself to resist the desire of the USA and its allies to shore up its much sought after hegemony, global control through full spectrum dominance of air, land, sea and space with surveillance powers encompassing every last living soul worldwide.

Russia it is that reflects the shining spearhead against the waning, but still powerful, forces of the collective west. Russia was the power to stand firm and state, “Thus far and no more!” against the tide of U.S. belligerence moving steadily toward it. In Syria and now in Ukraine Russia has and is defending the East against the predatory ambitions of the West.

In Syria Russia stepped in after four years in which the USA, UK, France, Turkey and others sought to use proxies to bring down Bashar al Assad unleashing an unstoppable terrorist horde who would have undoubtedly installed a caliphate there if not defeated. Russia was their nemesis. Russia it was, through its powerful intervention, removed their threat along with the Syrian Arab Army and relegated the terrorists to the corner of Syria that is Idlib.

In Ukraine Russia is inexorably defeating the collective west even as the western powers do everything in their power to hinder Russia’s inevitable success in achieving the goals it set itself. The Donbass region will transfer to Russia within the next three months and any attack upon this new Russian soil will be dealt with severely, sending a very definite message to those opposing Russia.

That message is that Russia has fully regained its status as a sovereign world power capable of facing down any threat aimed at it, that it has regained full confidence and competence across all important fields of endeavour, has assembled a coalition of many extremely powerful friends and now fear no one

Russia has gained the admiration and respect of the global south rather than its criticism through its robust military posture regarding the adventurism of the US, its proxies and their tool, NATO. Nations are lining up to join Russia in the BRICS network, some of them erstwhile allies of the USA and West in general.

It is Russia that has been gaining all the while as the West, seen as an agent of chaos and instability across the global south and in Asia, has steadily lost influence. The disastrous regime change wars of choice instigated by the West post 9/11 have brought it into disrepute as an untrustworthy friend of ally, more a threat than friend in fact. The way the U.S. found it easy to break its word over the Iranian nuclear agreement showed just how untrustworthy it can be.

NATO, rather than not moving an inch further east as promised by multiple political elites of the West to Gorbachev, has desired to move right to Russia’s doorstep. We now see the response that Russia has given that betrayal. Now, with Iran and Turkey (a NATO member of course) we see a widening of the response against a western world requiring immediate quarantining.

As the West spirals down into debt, social discord and interminable disunity, economic disaster and unlimited disharmony the nations of Eurasia reflect the polar opposite where profitable interconnection and unity are the order of the day. Local currencies are being used ever more frequently in place of the dollar thus closing another route for western belligerence.

Much of the above is being led by Russia. And much of all else by China. Truly these two in mutual respect and heightening cooperation are leading a process that will eventuate in the creation of a new, multipolar world. In the background, China lends support and provides moral encouragement to the nation and leader who are at the forefront during the facing down of the West.

That nation is of course Russia, and her president, Vladimir Putin.

We now find ourselves truly extremely fortunate to live at the start of…

THE NEW RUSSIAN CENTURY.
