THE TRAGEDIES OF TRUMP

The U.S. so needs a new broom to sweep clean.

Trump claiming he was it, failed in almost every respect. He promised a lot but was just another faulty political product, incapable of much and in fact created more dirt than he cleaned.

Trump made great claims on all sides, a political trick used by a majority of politicians these days. Be all things to all men... and women. Advocating an end to regime change wars while being a proponent of outdoing waterboarding. Talking of creation harmony, not wishing to destabilize nations then attempting to unseat the president of Venezuela. Now, after four years of Trump we know that almost nothing he says can be trusted. He took political lying to Guinness Book of World Record levels.

Yet he was the closest we have come to a radical president of the USA. The tragedy is that his mentality was not fit for purpose in the role many believed he was suited to, destroying the old, established order and putting something better in its place. The first part of the task he accomplished to an observable degree (though this will be seen to be temporary, not permanent). The second part, putting something better in its place... he hardly seems to have had any notion of how to do it, I suspect he didn’t even try. In fact what he created was arguably much worse.

Why do I say it was much worse?

I need only name three men and two women:

John Bolton
Mike Pompeo
Mike Pence
Nikki Haley
Gina Haspel

By bringing these five people into his administration at one time or another you know immediately that nothing fundamental was going to change regarding U.S. foreign policy, one of the primary issues he stood on as prospective president.

This was an absolute betrayal of all who voted for him on the basis that he would be beneficial in regard to world peace and harmony. Trump has created the most divided world since the Cold War with aggressive policy decisions regarding multiple nations from Venezuela to China to Russia to Iran to Syria to Ukraine and on. His presidential campaign promises on foreign policy ring totally hollow now.

Imagine what someone who truly believed in what Trump only claimed to could have done.

Such a person in the White House would certainly NOT have surrounded himself with the most blatant war-hungry hawks, black site managers and CIA zealots as Trump did. He or she would have set about finding people who could deliver the cooperation with other nations he promised. It was at this earliest possible stage of Trump’s presidency that I realized that like Obama, we had been gulled once again.

A true and trusted individual could have made the changes America needs by getting money out of politics, ended the pernicious lobbying system, stopped Big Pharma and Big Health overcharging, focused on benefits to U.S. citizens, not to donors on Wall Street and ended regime change wars and all the attendant propaganda and covert pseudo-diplomacy, dirty tricks and Machiavellian plots that go with them.

Such a person could have really cleaned up... at least to the maximum degree his or her powers allowed.

Trump messed up instead.

Yes, I know many millions of Americans still believe he had the right stuff. He talked a good game about bringing jobs back from overseas and solving trading inequities. Perhaps some of what he did even worked (though the data is patchy). But really, taken as a whole I fail to see how more of Trump was going to bring the ideal America that some clearly visualized back into being. Such views are a triumph of fantasy over reality in my view and in truth a sign of the utter desperation many feel due to the Wall Street fix that is killing them day by day vacuuming all wealth up to the elite there. I’m sorry but Trump wasn’t going to fix that... in fact one of his greatest boasts was that the stock market was booming. This “boom” didn’t transfer either into good jobs or vastly improved lives for American citizens.

Trump failed. Yet tens of millions still believe in him. And in January and beyond most of them will continue to do so in a continued war against ‘the other side’ that can only have the most bitter harvest.

Trump is clearly incapable of consistently formulating policies that can lead to new and stable realities. The vast majority of his decisions appear to be on the spur of the moment, informed by emotion and little else, ad hoc plans and plots that are simplistic, taking no account of deeper realities, nuance or any consequences involved. Often they appear to be products of personal prejudices and nothing more.

If Trump had been an individual informed by the best minds in America and in the West in general there is no limit to the good he could have done. By the best minds I mean those such as Noam Chomsky, John Pilger, Max Blumenthal, Aaron Mate, Ben Norton and others. But like unrelated chemical elements without the appropriate receptors there was no good fit, there was no way that they could connect to create a new and powerful way to the better place we all know is possible.

Trump, with his enormous ego and mafia-like mentality has an inability to connect which is almost total. He feels omnipotent, all-knowing. And he choose the most arrogant, fixed-mentality people to be a kind of Praetorian Guard around him. This was not the act of a man seeking great change but rather great protection for himself.

These were just some of the failures of a Trump who, like Obama, had offered the carrot of change to a hungry American people. But like Obama he almost totally failed to deliver.

Much was promised. So very little was delivered.

These are the tragedies of Trump.

THE BIDEN ‘UNITE THE WORLD’ UPDATE

I first posted the text at the foot of this update on the 25th of November 2020 and promised to report back as and when there were developments initiated by U.S. president Joe Biden regarding U.S. foreign policy in respect of a tweet he posted the day before.

In the past few days Biden has made his first major announcement in this context.

In a virtual address to the Munich Security Conference he did exactly as I predicted he would and called for an airtight alliance between the USA and European Union states against both Russia and China. This is exactly the policy I predicted below in my post of the 25th of November.

While talking of unity Biden is promoting a permanent division and the continuation and worsening of what I call an 'Ice Cold War' differentiated from the war with the Soviet Union in that no dialogue or true diplomacy will take place, only demands.

 

Biden wishes to unite the USA and Europe... but AGAINST Russia and China, and without doubt against their allies too. Iran, Syria, Cuba, Venezuela et al.

In a textual version of a Freudian slip the official White House text of Biden's address quotes Biden as using 'division' instead of 'vision' (see below).

'You know, I hope our fellow democracies are going to join us in this vital work.  Our partnerships have endured and grown through the years because they are rooted in the richness of our shared democratic values.  They’re not transactional.  They’re not extractive.  They’re built on a vision of a future where every voice matters, where the rights of all are protected and the rule of law is upheld. 

None of this has fully succeeded in this — none of us has fully succeeded in this division [vision].  We continue to work toward it.  And in so many places, including in Europe and the United States, democratic progress is under assault.'

 It is clear to me that Biden has no wish to create a better relationship with Russia and China or their allies. His desire is clearly to form a solid block with Europe and any others with the U.S. orbit as a weapon with which to weaken and undermine them.

Biden will attempt to undermine China's 'Belt and Road' initiative and Russia's 'NordStream 2' pipeline as an integral part of his policy of creating a united front against Russia and China. He will bolster NATO and refrain from any criticism of it as it builds its forces ever closer to Russia's border.

As I predicted there will be no global unification attempt as desperately required at this time of greatest threat for humanity. Future pandemics, quite possibly worse than the present one will certainly require the global unity clearly absent from the present patchy responses. Human-caused climate change presents an imminent threat, an even greater threat than any pandemic and this threat above all others surely demands global unity to ameliorate its effects.

Biden's tweet of November last year therefore rings very hollow now. It represented a deception, not a delivery of hope for the future. Instead of unity Biden advocates division, instead of a desire for change and reconciliation he advocates more of the same previous antagonism and aggression. And quite clearly he advocates more war, a continued reliance on regime change by whatever means the so-called 'Free World' perceives as necessary.

Biden's tweet below offered the hope that the past irresponsibility and highly aggressive stance of the USA might be ameliorated, softened and a potential for agreements between the USA, Europe and the rising nations of China and Russia be begun. However, his speech to the Munich conference shows just how vain that hope was and totally confirmed my predictions below.

On Tuesday November 24th 2020 at 11:30 a.m. Joe Biden, president elect, posted the following on Twitter:

“Let’s begin the work to heal and unite America and the world.”

I intend to update this text with intermittent updates on the question of to what degree Joe Biden seeks to unite the world or otherwise. I will update whenever I spot items pro and contra this stated goal.

Currently the prospects do not look very good as he clearly intends to install persons who have previously expressed hawkish sentiments regarding nations that have in the past been described as ‘adversaries’ or even ‘enemies’.

It is clear he will wish to unite the people of America, his hopes for the election of yet another Democratic Party president in 2024 to a significant degree depend on this.

And it is clear he wishes to unite all America’s allies to the maximum degree possible.

But it is much, much less clear that he wishes to unite the world. In my estimation his policies so far... as far as I have been able to identify them will divide the world as never before in what I have been referring to as an, ‘Ice Cold War’, distinguished from the ‘Cold War’ in that there will be no dialogue, no discussion, no detente, only a series of demands from the USA.

So, I am skeptical of this tweet of his, it seems to me to run contrary to all else I see occurring in his previous statements regarding Russia and China for instance and the likely policy on Venezuela to name but three nations in question.

I wonder to what degree the sentiment expressed in Biden’s tweet is genuine, and to what degree an attempted deception based on a meaningless bit of ‘feel good’ rhetoric/propaganda.

The proof of the pudding as always, is in the eating... one way or the other.

Will he reach out to China, Russia, Iran, Syria, Venezuela and others in his stated goal to unite the world?

I will post an update to this text as and when I detect any movement that forwards or detracts from this clearly laudable goal as stated below and whether it can be taken at face value or, as I suspect, it cannot.

WESTERN ELITES HAVE NOWHERE TO GO BUT DOWN

Naturally they justify their existences. They have clawed their way to the top of the heap. Are they likely to be filled with agonizing contrition, longing to descend back down that slippery slope to slum it with the rest of humanity?

The number of consolation prizes for losing your soul in the callous, cynical and single-minded pursuit of personal ambition are many. The hard-headed way such people conceive of others on the way up serves them well when they get there. Such are these wizened souls with super-wizened consciences that they perceive the rest of us in a stony-eyed, clinical sympathy as those they left behind.

Those who strive to reach these heights know well what they are doing and what they have to do to get there and stay there. They are under no illusions that they are going to do widespread good if they ever had such notions to begin with.

It is a cynical as well as a very smug world. Those who enter the orbit of the elites feel they have finally arrived where they always knew they were destined to be. In this world everyone knows the score, the rules are known though never stated. If anything states the rules it is in visual patterns of both speech and dress, in what you wear and how you form your words. If self-censorship is needed it is only until a newbie masters the initial semi-hidden signals. Within a day or two, or at most a couple of weeks this is done.

The elites of our world are little battalions of a much larger army. The uniforms and uniform forms of thought and speech designate them. Those with gravitas lead, those with their office suites, those who have maximal access to company budgets and most of all, those who are known to deploy the perks of license when a release is required to bond the squad.

We, the bovine herd of irrational squabblers, poor in pocket and virtually unemployable are seen as tiny, almost imperceptible specks far below the well-appointed, lofty and super-secure and secluded corporate, government or embassy enclosures. The uninformed, the pretty comical squealers who never made it and who it is their job to control and ensure they don’t trouble their superiors.

Elites love their world. It rewards them well as long as they obey the implicit rules that govern every aspect of their time. And in general they obey very well. They know what the outcome will be if they do not, if they suddenly become concerned that truth has nothing at all to do with their work and how they act, plan or communicate. Only once in a very blue moon does one of their number rebel out of an excess of conscience. Such cases are so extremely rare that they can be seen to be the exceptions that prove the rule of otherwise complete compliance to the ethos of lies, propaganda, PR and falsity that is the standard in whatever elite is in question.

Chris Hedges resigned from the New York Times because he couldn’t stomach the lies, omissions and pressure to conform regarding the second Iraq war. He is arguably the most experienced foreign correspondent the western press ever had. He is now the most prominent critic of the West’s elites and the chaos and misery they cause.

Craig Murray was the British ambassador to Uzbekistan. He got in trouble with the British Government for exposing torture, was sacked and is now an activist and acerbic commentator on western foreign policy.

Glenn Greenwald did rise to elite status within the journalistic profession by his work with Edward Snowden. He could have stayed within the elite he rose so quickly to join, however he has remained an eloquent critic of them instead and recently resigned from the organization he helped form as they tried to censor him.

Those who leave the conformist ranks of whatever elite they find themselves in are few. Most remain and obey the rules, censor themselves and keep strictly to narratives they know will find no resistance within the enormously well-paid clique to which they belong. They will supply what’s wanted in other words. The lesser dogs within these elites make sure  they never, ever bite the hand that feeds them.

With Russia being the whipping boy required for whatever purpose, they dutifully supply the copy needed, no question. is someone to be smeared? Jeremy Corbyn perhaps? Or Bernie Sanders? Maybe Scott Ritter (another luminary within another elite position as a WMD search team leader in Iraq who went “rogue)? It’s as good as done.

And if the CIA, NSA or FBI are required to lend a hand you can be sure they will do so with alacrity... all you need do is append a note claiming it’s a matter of state security. The report and text for the media will be on someone’s desk by mid-morning.

It’s tough at the top they say. But every last man jack and happy presstitute knows just how TRULY tough it is at the bottom however...

And they know if they don’t mind their ‘p’s and ‘q’s and obey all the unwritten laws, if they show any signs of independence of thought or honesty... they will be on their way down there as soon as you can say designer shirt or private school.

These western elites have no where to go but down... so lying and betraying those below who are crying out for truth... becomes their very mindfully, ultra-well-heeled profession.

WESTERN SHITRISE, EASTERN SUNRISE

We have reached a tipping point in the West. Too much shit has risen to the top for anything approaching sanity or normality to have anything more than a tenuous effect on our daily lives.

The wise have drowned, heads forced underwater by hysterical, elitist warmongers screaming “9/11”!

Trump was an anomaly, a dysfunctional spanner thrust into the Washington power machine. Now that he is going the gears of war will be oiled once again in the normal manner, not in the haphazard unconventional mode adopted by him. The machine is emblazoned with the words ‘The Free World’ and all those operating it wear impermeable bubbles of belief on their heads. No contrary thought can make its way through. The group-thought miasma of the new Washington elite will have every mind fixed, every motivation vetted for its kosher focus, all policies set in lockstep, every ally on the battle bus for the final war to save “Western Values”.

This saintly grouping imbued with a massive helping of bullshit will set forth to confront two nations specifically and whatever others ally to them by not bowing to the Shitforce in Washington.

These two nations are an enormous threat to all western elites. They comprise the greatest adversaries western elites have ever faced. But not for the reasons delineated in endless propaganda shitstorms from Washington and its minions abroad. Not because they are a military threat, not at all. Because they are an economic threat and a threat to the political power the USA in particular has inflicted upon Europe and many other regions across our world. All very profitable in terms of economic power and political influence. All ending now as the East rises in prominence and the West declines.

The shit-stirrers of Trump will be as nothing compared to those within the upcoming Biden administration. Expect Nikki Haley and Samantha Power-like tropes at the UN, expect Cheney-like ranting from the Secretary of Defense and Pompeo-like sophistry from the Secretary of State. And what about Bush? Biden is Bush with Brains.

The shit is rising in the West just as the sun rises as ever from the East. The new year approaching will see our world riven with greater division than ever. No resolutions except those dividing us will have force. An ‘Ice Cold War’ is approaching where no discussion, no dialogue and heaven forfend no detente will exist... only demands. Demands for compliance across the board. Demands that ‘they’ become just as shitty as ‘we’ are. Or else.

Welcome to the brown-nosed world of U.S. elites where the corporatists, the lobbyists, the necon-deranged, the totalitarian liberals and the vast mass of shit-stirring media tell you what to think. And the message will be unchanging, permeating and constantly reinforced, that we must be in unity against the enemies at the gate, that if we do not accept and conform we will be aiding those enemies. Those who demur, those who attempt to defend their freedom of thought and speech will find themselves called bots, puppets, foreign agents and almost certainly traitors.

All wrapped in a jingoistic patriotism not seen since the days immediately after 9/11.

The shit has risen in such quantities to the top in the USA and UK now that all the above is unavoidable and unstoppable.

The only direction to look now for help is the East. If you look upward in the West hold an umbrella.

FALLING IN HATE AGAIN

Americans have an enormous capacity for love.

Warmth is what I most associate Americans with, a comforting acceptance of others; a delightful graciousness and interest in the well-being of others, an attractive characteristic denoting well-mannered acceptance.

Why then are they falling in hate again?

The dismal future of a post-covid America at war with itself and with an administration filled with gun-toting warmongers doesn’t display the America that could be in any good way whatsoever.

Whatever happened to all those romantic movies and rom-com series? Were they all simply for-profit idealistic expressions of the bonhomie and positive emotions, decent behavior and determination to see wrongs righted created as a mirage for money?

Where is the American psyche headed? Has what appeared to be idealism corroded into bitter cynicism and adversarial spite? Surely the world’s richest nation can do better than this, or are my many experiences with Americans informing me incorrectly? Where have the easy smiles gone, the neighborly goodwill and charming fellow-feeling? I swear they were not illusory attributes. But where are they reflected within the American zeitgeist now?

The raging street battles in recent times, the riots, police beatings and worse... what is happening to the nation that originated the Summer of Love?

Why is it falling in hate again? A partisan war where two sides spit hatred at the other with no seeming compromise possible. And why is the Biden administration putting on khaki fatigues ready to make war on the rest of the world?

Nothing good can come of any of this.

This time, unlike The Summer of Love we are more likely to see A Winter of Utmost Discontent. The soft side of the American character is being infected by the hard side we saw in America’s regime change wars, “Kill ‘em all and let God sort them out!” was the cry from those certain Americans who exclusively read The Old Testament, muscular “Christians”, more interested in smiting enemies than turning the other cheek with Jesus.

The ‘Forever War’ against international terrorism initiated by Bush, Cheney and their fellow warmongers is turning inward to drive Trump’s agenda to win with his forces against those of an equally dangerous liberal elite. That war is likely to be just as bloody in the sense of being divisive as any America has waged in the Middle East, and which through the Biden team it is seemingly intent on continuing.

What hope is there that the Americans I knew and loved will rise once more to defeat both the Trump hordes and the liberal warmongers? Sadly they are nowhere in sight as yet. But I’m sure they exist... are they struck dumb, is the present situation simply too overwhelming, did 9/11 put limits on their love, qualifications, suspicions and a series of unfullfillable checks before expressing it?

As we watch America dissolve before our eyes some of us may welcome the reduction of its capacity to do the harm it did to us over the past few years. But the introversion of its population may not at all be reflected in its government, quite the opposite I suspect. The enemy ‘over there’ is always a handy tactic when there’s trouble at home.

I see no Summer of Love in prospect. No renaissance of the ever-friendly American.

Tragically I see only an ever-greater falling in hate... again.

 

THE AMERICAN STAGE IS SET FOR REVOLUTION

All the pieces are in place, the backdrop in development, is now complete.

The audience, no matter how out of touch during rehearsals, has now grasped the unfolding reality.

A tragedy is now about to unfold.

The point about the previous ignorance of the audience is important. It is now clear to everyone in the audience that this play concerns them, that they have something at stake, something, perhaps everything, at risk.

They see to that the players strutting across the stage are so hopelessly lost within the complexities, machinations and maneuverings that keep them locked into what has become the primary insanities that will lead to the coming tragedy.

Various members of the audience call out the very obvious solutions that could be part of averting that tragedy... but they fall on deaf ears. Every aspect of the play has been scripted in depth such as to be totally unalterable. That catastrophic circumstances will ensue, that insane decisions will be taken and clever ones avoided is simply written within the text in indelible ink. The audience sees where this is going and becomes increasingly restless, more and more shouts rise from them with hands gesticulating, faces in tears of rage, fear or sadness. Yet the players on the stage seem deaf and blind to the audience and totally unable to veer from the script, not even to save their own lives.

The USA is going down. It is going down in full view of the rest of the world which has largely ripped up the similar political scripts that the U.S. politicians are unwaveringly sticking to.

The theater may burn down around them but the actors on that stage, in their almost hypnotic trances, where an archetypal fixed notion of what it means to be of this or that political persuasion, holds them completely in its sway. Like wooden puppets they can convey only those emotions and make only those limited gestures that their political strings will allow.

The coronavirus is set to decimate the entire U.S. economy with the possible exceptions of Big Pharma, Big Healthcare and the Military Industrial Complex. Meanwhile the upward transfer of wealth to the elites and the upwardly mobile graduate population plus certain liberal middle class households will continue just as working class households hit existential crisis after existential crisis.

While student loans are forgiven, blessing the upwardly mobile doctors, nurses and others in the academically-privileged soon to be elites, mass layoffs, home foreclosures and the closing of small businesses will hit those far less well off like an almost endless series of economic tidal waves.

The Democrats with Joe Biden at their head won mainly due to the upwardly mobile and already secure who reside predominantly on the coasts of the USA but who also are well represented in U.S. cities and those will be the ones who will now be rewarded for their faith in the Democrat’s message via Joe Biden that nothing will fundamentally change.

Those who crave for something to change and who continued to hope that Donald Trump would be the agent of that change are about to see their jobs disappear along with their homes and access to health care. Calls for them to unify around a Biden version of ‘America First’ will fall on deaf ears as he offers them virtually nothing, but instead transfers even more to those who already have so much.

Virtue signalling, empty of anything substantial will be the order of the day. A roster of women will be placed on stage as evidence of “change”, several of whom are known hawks that will change the political scene only in as much as they breathe new life into the neocon rhetoric of the Bush administration.

For the players on our stage have flipped roles. The Democrat players now play for the Big Business team, the elite academics team, the well-heeled liberal team, the rich conservative team and of course for their donors first and foremost. On the second roster are the upwardly mobile strivers who wish to join those aforementioned teams. The drawbridge is being pulled up. Those left outside screaming and shouting will be labeled extremists, populists, racists, fascists and malcontented deplorables. And they will almost all be working or underclass along with the members of the audience who have been shouting their insights from the audience since the curtain went up.

The classic ingredients for a revolution are in place, the vital elements of a full scale class war complete with the same touches seen in previous revolutions, an out of touch, smug and infinitely patronizing and privileged elite and a terminally impoverished class of virtual slaves of those elites who are devastated in every area of their lives including, importantly their dreams, both for themselves and for their families.

Who will lead that revolution? I think we can already see who. The "dying" king who will soon be replaced amid shouts of "Long Live the King!". He will have an ever-increasing number of followers and avid supporters who will continue to see him as having been usurped. The king in exile will have a ready audience of the dispossessed, disgruntled and hurting. The anger he can focus will be huge and ever-rising in volume as the USA goes down.

Check the location of all fire doors to this theater people. The American political stage is about to burn.

THE OTHER TRANSITION

Everyone is talking about the unwillingness of Trump to allow a smooth transition to a Biden presidency.

But there's another transition both are unwilling to contemplate, that of working with China rather than against her.

The resistance of Trump and his people to allowing a smooth transition to Biden and his people is a purely political tactic. They know they can’t win out. Trump will NOT have a second term and will not be able to do what he was determined to do.

In a similar way, the world WILL transition to a new paradigm where the economic power of China will first inhibit and then virtually eliminate the ability of U.S. elites to threaten the world into submitting to them as their masters. That transition is underway and has been the clear and obviously inevitable outcome for many years now. China has won its right to be the forerunner of a more stable world based upon diplomacy, agreement and the mutual benefits of trade. The USA, the power which up till now has assumed the position of world dominator, couching its role in self-rewarding positive terms as the primary guardian of individual liberty and the “obvious” benefits of democracy is refusing to acknowledge this transition. And the world is suffering directly through this refusal.

Many of the regime change wars have this refusal at their basis as well as the more obvious motivation to strike at all anti-American entities as perceived by U.S. elites post 9/11. But make no mistake, as the twin determination; to achieve ‘full spectrum dominance’, also derived from 9/11 accepting the present strength and coming dominance of China was just as unacceptable in its own way as the continuation of those in the first category.

The USA and UK with assistance from most of Europe have primarily, to all intents and purposes, run the world till now. To contemplate giving up this status, especially after 9/11, is unquestionably anathema to their elites. That is not to say that China will run the world instead. China will rather set the climate for agreement across nations that trade and the benefits of trade far outweigh any perceived self-interested benefits in prioritizing differences that can be exploited by threat, destabilization and diverse other forms of warfare either overt or covert. China, along with relatively minor player Russia have no mission to dominate the world or mold the rest of it in their image, politically, socially or in any other way. Their focus is on trade, on creating frameworks and foundations for agreement quite outside of notions of some standard political system that MUST be in place before any benefits can accrue. In short they will focus upon the inviolate nature of national sovereignty.

The focus above is not new. It was demonstrated in 2003 when both Russia and China along with France opposed the illegal attack upon and invasion of Iraq pointing out that there was no legal validity to attacking a nation that had not committed any act of violence against its attacker. China and Russia have been consistent in their principles regarding this and there is no substantial reason whatsoever they will deviate from them in future.

Only the United States and its allies indicate that they have a mission to transform all other nations into mirror-images of themselves. And the elites of the USA are demonstrating on a daily basis that they believe, due to the events of 9/11, that this is a goal which they will not and believe they cannot ever relinquish as their conception is that the United States and its future security will be put at risk by any other eventuality.

These twin circumstances therefore, the desire of U.S. elites in particular (and other exceptionalist elites within the UK and on the European mainland) to maintain their patrician dominance, and their belief that this is of utmost importance for the sake of so-called 'liberal values’, plus the unrelenting and unquestioned determination of the USA to achieve full spectrum dominance, means that they will do everything possible to resist a smooth transition to the new, much more peaceful, stable and secure ethos that would come with a responsible acknowledgement that China, not the West promises the better future by far for humanity than the western era of dominance now ending.
