Is there any aspect of the USA not involved in lies?
It’s hard to find one.
From its governance to its intelligence agencies to its press and media.
Lies, lies and more lies.
Where can we find an absence of lies across the entire output of the USA?
You might say manufacturing. However, perhaps you should analyze the advertising what it produces.
The people themselves?
For how many decades almost without number have the
people of the USA boasted about how they have the best, the biggest, the
most just and wonderful society on Earth? You know, that same one that
committed genocide on its native population then forced millions of
Africans into slavery. Some time later it dropped nuclear bombs on two
Japanese cities filled with civilians when Japan was already asking to
surrender. Later still it invaded Vietnam burning homes, committing
atrocities, killing millions and dropping bombs, napalm and agent orange
disfiguring both the people and the landscape for generations. We need
not go on listing the countless murderous acts of the American people
from Latin America to the Middle East in countless acts of barbarism
from death squads to coups to outright military attack and invasion.
The American people tell themselves lies about all this and will tell others those same lies whenever convenient.
Not all Americans, true. But so very, very many.
Mainstream
media in the United States is the greatest lie factory of all. It
churns out lie after lie after lie in support of every war or act of
atrocity perpetrated by its elites, covering their arses and hiding the
fact of their iniquity, forever purveying the lies concerning their
supposed saintly character, always with benign intent. The disgorge
lies, lies and ever more lies on this subject alone.
Every
industry that the USA spawns or has a hand in creating tends to deal in
lies of one kind or another. Public Relations and the ultra-violent,
bloodless fantasies of Hollywood. The politicians with their every which
way but truth policies. Its cults and fundamentalist religions. The
entire nation of the USA seems dedicated to the pursuit of “happiness”
through lies.
Its judicial system is predicated upon those
brought before it making a plea bargain whether guilty or innocent
instead of being tried. How many are within the U.S. penal system that
committed no crime except to be black?
Americans tell themselves
lies about being free when they are wholly owned by the elites in
control over them. They tell themselves they can eat all the processed
shit they want and still be fit and well. They tell themselves that
their society being awash with guns has nothing to do with the violence
committed using guns. Many of them will tell you there is no racism or
police brutality in their country. They tell themselves and will be sure
to tell you that they are God's chosen people.
In the
background the CIA and every other intelligence agency the U.S. has
continually seeded lies via complicit so-called journalists. These are
sometimes seeded far from American shores to come home with deniability
regarding its source. Sometimes the seeding is done at home using
'unidentified sources'. Russiagate is a primary current lie. As Goebbels
advocated, if you are going to tell a lie, tell a big one.
Lies, lies and ever more lies.
Bill Hicks was the most acerbic critic of the American way of lying. He mercilessly provided his running commentary on the running sore of the American way of life, death and everything in between.
His colleague in truth-telling, George Carlin spoke most eloquently
of all on this subject, revealing the gruesome facts beneath the
comforting lies Americans told themselves. About their elite owners,
about their grotesque consumption habits, about their willingness to see
others suffer for their benefit, and how the American Dream is a sham,
something you have to be asleep to believe in.
From coast to coast Americans exist within a living lie, surviving on fantasy in its myriad aspects.
Catered to by the highly successful and exceedingly profitable lie factories of the USA.
