UKRAINE: HAS BEEN A TOUGH NUT TO CRACK - WILL IT BE CRACKED IN 2023?

Dismantling the extremist and deeply criminal regime in Ukraine, or at least making it amenable to Russia's needs, is proving much harder than most of us believed at the start of Russia's special military operation. This is due of course to the regime being backed to an enormous degree by the powers of the collective West plus the inhibitions Russia has had regarding the great risk of killing brother and sister Slavs.

All of the above has resulted in a hard slog where the Russian military has had to fight well dug in Ukrainian forces trench by trench and street by street with their enemy occupying emptied out civilian homes, schools and hospitals equipped with the most modern weaponry NATO has. An entire defence line some 1,000 miles long of well-fortified positions were constructed between 2014 and the present day. Breaking through these lines has been a monumental task.

The task of liberating the people of the Donbass region of easter Ukraine who have been shelled remorselessly since 2014 by the Ukrainian army (14,000 have died) has been made even harder by the regime in Kiev sending tens of thousands of poorly trained cannon fodder into the fray as well as using foreign mercenaries and troops from all NATO nations in anonymous uniforms, also in their thousands to the front lines.

I, like many others, assumed over the years since 2014 that if Russia fully committed itself militarily to solving the problem of the Donbass (and NATO) that the fight would not last long and would most likely be over within a few weeks at most. Perhaps this would have been true in 2014 or 2015, Putin has inferred this in recent times. However, in 2014 and 2015 Russia was extremely vulnerable to the inevitable reaction of the western powers by way of sanctions and, due to this, could not do what many in the Donbass, considered vital for their long-term security.

Since 2014, which we can see by the way the fighting has gone, the western powers built the military potential of Ukraine to an inordinate degree. It is clear they knew the start of a Russian military campaign in Ukraine was only a question of when. It must be suspected that the western powers actively planned to create the conditions so that this did indeed occur. Why otherwise would they create such massive defences by way of array after array of trenches and command points, and of course train the Ukrainian military to a NATO standard of readiness?

The goal was clearly from the start to invite Russia to invade Ukraine in order to drain it of its financial and economic resources and so weaken it. The plan was to apply as many sanctions as possible to Russia while doing so, thus delivering a double-whammy that would undermine the nation, cause chaos on the streets and ultimately bring about regime change and the replacement of Russia's president and system of governance. New people, willing to be compliant to the commands of the western powers were envisaged within the plan to take over and neutralise Russia and subsequently split it into pieces, Balkanizing it.

Though the western powers may have planned to have Russia instigate its campaign it was a high risk strategy. If Putin and his advisers underestimated the unwillingness of the Kiev regime to negotiate, and therefore the degree of determination of its backers to resist anything amounting to negotiations, then those western leaders have also miscalculated.

Russia had successfully strengthened its economic and financial systems since 2014 just as the West has strengthened Ukraine's defensive capabilities. Due to this robust level of strength in depth Russia has been able to successfully weather every attack upon it by the West and has accurately delivered many blows of its own upon each unfriendly western nation.

But this still leaves Ukraine as a very tough nut to crack, mainly due to Russia not just fighting Ukraine but the entire western world as led by its current crop of leaders, determined as they clearly are to win out against Russia no matter the cost. We have seen the leaders of these nations continue to double down to this point in time. But are we seeing things begin to change? Throwing billions after billions can surely only last so long and as the taxpayers increasingly see their hard-earned money thrown away abroad while they suffer more and more at home, something's surely got to give sooner or later.

2023 will I, believe, be the crucial year that reveals the outcome of what may be called the end game war, the very last world war, a war that will determine nothing less than the global political, geopolitical, economic, financial and social global future for all years and all generations to come. Clearly this is a battle to achieve a unipolar world by the West where its leaders act as wardens over a de facto prison planet. While the West seeks this, Russia, China, India and others are working to succeed in bringing about a multipolar world where diverse forms of governance are tolerated, and where trade, agreement and mutual respect for sovereignty between nations are the most primary features.

2023 will, I believe, at the very least, show us clearly which of these two crucial outcomes for each side is most likely, even if an outright victory for one or the other is not achievable by year's end. At the very least we will know without doubt exactly where we are headed and that alone will surely signal the coming the end of this struggle. The stakes therefore could not possibly be higher.

The signals emerging now show increasing doubt among the western protagonists and alongside this an equal measure of increasing unwillingness by western populations to continue down the present path their leaders appear determined to take them.

FOR HOW MUCH LONGER CAN WESTERN ELITES HOPE TO RULE THE WORLD?

As the chant goes, "The whole world is watching!" and the world is coming to some pretty jaundiced  conclusions about the western section of it.

The saying, something along the lines of, "Methinks thou dost protest too much" also comes to mind.

The leaders of the collective west are giving themselves a collective showing up or so it seems to me.

Desperate in their rabid anxiety to shore up their fast slipping patrician grip with a view to taking it up to what they conceive to be absolutely necessary post 9/11, to global manipulative capacity... they are watching it ALL go down in flames. It is clear that their goal of restoring the ‘Unipolar Moment’ and the obvious impossibility of attaining it is driving them quite mad.

And like a hapless fly in a tarantula's web they are struggling like fury... making the situation only worse by every movement.

Every propaganda trope and piece of reckless, simplistic rhetoric makes the majority of the world’s population grimace in disdain for the dying empire they see struggling to enforce its ever-weakening role and rule. The heady days when Britain ‘ruled the world’ are over, well and truly over. And the number of occasions when the USA can pridefully boast it is exceptional in every way are lessening by the day. I mean, have you looked closely at either the UK or USA recently?

Britain is in the throes of one disastrous political debacle after another, with strikes by nurses and ambulance workers, rail workers and who know how many others. People in Britain are having to choose whether to eat or heat in a great many cases. Prices have soared to a point where the whole societal structure of so-called Great Britain is close to collapse, businesses are closing their doors because they can no longer afford to function, shops are struggling to find sources for fruit and vegetables due to home grows being unable to afford the cost of raising crops…

And there’s so much more that shows Britain is once again the ‘sick man of Europe’, those above are only the tip of the iceberg, an iceberg that is sinking ‘Titanic Britain’. Britain, out of a Europe that is going through its own massive problems of deindustrialisation, problems of its own reckless making via its massively failing sanctions on Russia.

But America, exceptional America… how is it faring these days? You may have seen the litter-strewn streets, the tent cities and the zombie-like Opioid denizens who lope around or stand bent over and motionless in these locales. It has a president who couldn’t care less but spouts inane and garbled mutterings that increasingly show just how unfit he is for high office, or indeed any office at all. Across this beautiful nation we see multiple fires and black smoke belching. We hear of declining life expectancy and every manner of disease and disability. Sexual perversion has become a celebrated cause and very soon you can identify as anything you wish, as a gay spider perhaps, a doorknob or lamppost and everyone will most probably have to address you as such before long. Exceptional? Exceptionally suicidal, yes. Exceptional regarding right conduct, right thought and right deed? I think not.

Yet these two debased, diseased, debt-ridden and degraded nations still insist on telling you they are the epitome of life on Earth, the crowns of creation, blessed by Almighty God and His chosen ones. They insist also on telling the rest of us how to live and how to organise our systems of governance. They moralise as the most sanctimonious saints out there on how we should act and behave as if they represent the template of universal good and wisdom. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria… we are to forget they all happened. And we are to believe they are right about everything concerning Ukraine, Russia, China, Iran and everywhere else they have some national interest.

But how much longer can this unholy patrician self-interest be tolerated? With India and many others refusing to accept their command to hate and sanction others now the death knell of their ambition to once again rule the world is sounding… and louder every blessed day that dawns.

THE 'POOR UKRAINE' SYNDROME IS GOING TO SELF-DESTRUCT

What have the western leaders done? The Ukraine obsession has been catastrophic in the long-lasting damage it has done, particularly to Europe. But North America is also beginning to see that its fabric has been deeply undermined by its president throwing almost endless money at the Ukrainian money pit.

The fundamentals of western lifestyles have been brought to the weakest state in living memory by the sanctions regime against Russia. Cheap Russian oil and gas has been underpinning European prosperity for a generation and cannot be adequately replaced.

Now, within months it will all be seen as being a completely worthless enterprise which has split the world in two. The nations of the 'Global South' are not playing the West's game any more. They have had enough of the patronising dictatorship of the wealthy north and are sticking their finger up to the USA and UK in particular as the two most fervent advocates for the West's decline through adventurism.

As if the catastrophic serial debacles of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria are not enough with all the useless billions that went into them now further billions have been thrown away in Ukraine and created a perfect storm of debilitating consequences for all western populations.

Now, after Russian winning her security and the renewed respect of most of the world for it, what will western nations receive in consequence of their failure and defeat? For one it will have the bill for all that now needs doing in western Ukraine due to Boris Johnson and Joe Biden insisting on war not peace by demanding Zelensky keep fighting rather than come to a settlement in Istanbul last March.

Rebuilding all the infrastructure damaged and destroyed in western Ukraine will not be the only cost for the West, not by a long shot.

Ukrainian radicals will arrive in Europe and the USA through the utterly naive and hugely misinformed state and media conditioning exercise that generated the ‘Poor Ukraine’ syndrome.

The western world went completely gooey and air-brained in a lunatic sanitising of some of the most evil men and women on the planet. Amazon is selling their Nazi-symbol infested clothing, their vile personages have even appeared alongside Zelensky in his poor-me, poor Ukraine zoom pleadings to parliaments.

Once the evil of these neo-Nazi immigrants becomes clear to western populations they will surely wake up fast. Those the West is lauding as heroes are anything but as European and U.S. populations will find out once they arrive in numbers and start a crime wave. While the everyday Ukrainians who never wanted this war and wished to make peace with Russia suffer at home.

It is usual when a war is waged for both sides to enter a war mode where jingoism rather than objective reality is order of the day, but in the age of the 24 hour news cycle and social media the conditioning effect leading to eventual blindness is utterly pernicious. This will be seen to have had disastrous effects in deceiving the majority of people in the West. Tragically they are in for a rude awakening from their idealistic slumbers.

So surprising was the speed with which all the official lies about Iraq were forgotten that we should not be surprised at the alacrity with which the conditioning on Ukraine is accepted.Of course it’s a great tale, one of those can’t-miss good and evil tales that can quickly turn a usually logical mind to jello and creep straight past the grey matter that normally can smell a giant sized rat when one comes that close.

The Ukraine western populations are “Ohoo-ing and Ahh-ing about is as real as the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus and has about as much reality to it as an episode of a Fifties cowboy movie. But this tale is made to measure and the measurement entails the degree to which the majority of western thought skims along the surface of news like a cat on ice.

Western headline surfers are perfect for being turned into unknowing guinea pigs for those who have the exact psychological measure of them. They don’t stand a chance. Like Pavlov’s Dogs they can be made to emotionally salivate at will.

And no one (or hardly anyone) seems any the wiser. That poor little Ukraine is being invaded and destroyed by the totally evil Russian bear is fed in new morsels every blessed day, fed directly into the shrunken ever-receptive brains of Mr and Mrs Average and their image-obsessed kids. Western populations, once more, were taken for a ride.

But for how long now? For how long until the realisation that western populations were encouraged to love haters and subsidise murderers and those with the most evil, Nazi-mentality imaginable? When the full truth about how western leaders such as Boris Johnson and Joe Biden forced an end to negotiations that were within reach of an agreement? What then for the trust based on ignorance and idealism?

When Azov thugs can’t find jobs paying what they want and become paid assassins and mobsters, drug runners and who knows what else… how will those bleeding heart liberals feel about them then? And in the chaos of western Ukraine when Zelensky has fled to his heavily-guarded mansion in Israel... how cheated and duped will the idealists of Europe and America feel?

When middle-class families go bankrupt, losing their homes and livelihoods or small businesses due to the blowback from the continuing effect of sanctions that the West's leaders used to attack Russia… what then?

When the prices we all pay for basic necessities hits unheard of heights and we can no longer afford to heat our homes (in the event you still have one) when your elderly parents die from malnutrition or the cold… how will your love affair with the ‘poor Ukrainians’ look to you then?

When the news leaks out that it wasn’t the Russians that did Bucha, the Mariupol theatre, the schools, hospitals and all else that you raved and ranted at them for, what then?

When you hear what the USA and UK plotted via NATO to undermine Russia’s security, when you finally see the videos of Ukrainian troops torturing young Russian troops by shooting them in the genitals and gouging their eyes out… what then?

How will you feel about your beloved Ukrainians then?

I predict in three months or less from now you will feel sick to your stomach that you have been so deliberately deceived and at that point…

JOE BIDEN IS UNFIT FOR ANY FORM OF EMPLOYMENT, CERTAINLY NOT THE JOB HE HAS

Joe Biden could easily get you killed. Are you happy knowing this thought? And you do know it, don’t you? The man is obsessed with Ukraine. Rabidly obsessed with it to the exclusion of all else. As various facilities across the USA go up in flames, where is he? He is with a petty dictator who has jailed his main political opponent and closed down every radio and television station that disagrees with him.

And in both cases we are told this is the wondrous thing known as democracy in action. Well how much say did YOU have in this? I suppose it is our democratic right now to be reduced to a smoking pile of ash on our patio as we watch that distant flash. That’s not a democracy that I feel any relation to. How about you?

No one wants to harp on about a man who can’t seem to climb any set of stairs without collapsing or who doesn’t seem to know where he is half the time, how to get off a stage after fifteen minutes of mumbling incoherently, or attempting to shake hands with some invisible person to his right or left that only he can “see”... but come on, this is the leader of what we must all (apparently) call ‘The Free World’ again.

Biden is in a delusory state of mind that every once in a while causes an eruption of hatred within him. This was seen just recently when he made his ‘State of the Union’ address. The man who used to be a well known political thug has become a completely negative force not only in respect of America’s crumbling infrastructure and social decay but on the world stage also. He is driving a cartload of rabidly insane neocons toward Armageddon, all screaming in unison for “More War!”

Meanwhile we are expected to believe the skewed narratives, false timeline and demonizing rhetoric of this insane brigade’s views on Vladimir Putin and Russia. Putin, who would be the only adult in the same room as them, remains cool, calm and collected, especially by comparison with Biden’s horde of political mongrels.

What is the TRUE position in regard to Russia then if these Armageddon zealots are so very insane to their core?

The fact is that Russia was left with no other choice by a concerted campaign by successive western powers and their minions who pushed Russia further and further into a corner from which its special military campaign was the only viable way out.

Russia had spent the previous seven years attempting to move Ukraine and its western sponsors along a pathway to peace and reconciliation only to find that it had been tricked. The statements in recent times by both Angela Merkel and the Ukrainian president at the time the Minsk Agreements were signed and ratified by the United Nations show this. They used the Minsk Accords as a way to buy time for the rearmament of the Ukrainian army, the training of its troops to NATO standards and to prepare for a military operation to take the territory of the Russian-speaking peoples of eastern Ukraine back by force.

The goal remains to deny them their language, culture and affiliations, to repress their pro-Russian feelings, even among the many Ukrainian-Russian mixed families. Russia tried to move the peace process forward so that the Russian-speaking people of the Donbass would gain autonomy enough to be safe from repression within Ukraine.

Putin denied their initial request to join Russia. The western powers were uninterested in peace however and this was shown once again last March when the two sides were close to an agreement. Boris Johnson stepped in to arm-twist Zelensky in dropping the negotiations and continuing the war. The West bears the heavy responsibility of guilt for this conflict from 2014 and even before in 2004 with its interference that brought about the 'Orange Revolution'.

Historians will know who to point the finger at. The USA and Britain primarily and the nations of the European Union. Russia was left with no way out but this. Zelensky wanted nukes, Ukraine had become a de facto NATO state and the threat to the Russian people in the years ahead was clear. The West didn't want peace, they wanted to weaken Russia and then carve it up.

Russia could not countenance this and took this action which has its anniversary tomorrow. We support you Russia against all the lies. You did what you had to, reluctantly but with dedication to the security in perpetuity of the Russian people.

These are the facts. And the fact is that Biden should be at least on a psychologist’s couch if not within a high security mental hospital being treated by the world’s best practitioner of psychiatry. The very place where he should not be is in the highest office of the land known as the USA. Not where he can drive the present insanity which he has spread across Europe as well as his own nation. The man is deranged and should be taken into a darkened room, calmed to sleep and then have a straitjacket gently placed upon him. It’s time. He must go, not Vladimir Putin. Him.

Preferably before the S.OB. gets us all killed.

WHO IS MOST RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TRAGEDY CURRENTLY TAKING PLACE IN UKRAINE?

Today is February 24th 2023, the first anniversary of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. Most western mainstream media news outlets are providing a highly partisan view of the fighting, all reflecting the same western state narrative of Russia's guilt for an unprovoked attack on the sovereignty of Ukraine.

In my estimation the historical facts reveal that the truth is at great variance with this assertion.

***\O/***

WHO IS MOST RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TRAGEDY CURRENTLY TAKING PLACE IN UKRAINE?

The conflict in Ukraine is a tragedy for both sides that would never have occurred if the intent of all parties had been to find peace and reconciliation at all costs.

The death, injury, mental trauma and destruction is enormous and will colour relations between Russia and Ukraine and between Russia and the collective west for generations to come.

An open-minded inspection of past events cannot help but reveal that there were great variations among the parties involved when it came to avoiding this situation.

None of those involved can be totally absolved of all responsibility. Having said this, certain facts point to which of the several protagonists made the most effort to avoid what is happening now.

In looking at the events which have brought us to the current lamentable situation I would argue that the primary factors to look at when attempting to attribute blame are ‘motivation’ and ‘inclination toward violence’.

The tragedy begins well before the winter of 2013-14 with the political turmoil and disputation surrounding the electoral process where powerful elites vied for power. Both Russia and the USA had powerful motivations that brought their involvement in Ukraine in the years after the fall of the Soviet Union. Russia, as neighbour to Ukraine was inextricably linked to it economically and as a fellow majority Slavic nation.

The motivations of the USA which were seen at their height during the ‘Orange Revolution’ of winter 2004-15 can be framed in both a positive or negative light depending on who is sourced. That it was involved at least in attempting to influence the result of the presidential election at that time however, cannot be denied.

U.S. officials would claim that they are motivated by and solely interested in spreading the democratic process and individual freedom worldwide where they see deficits in them. Through organisations such as the ‘National Endowment for Democracy’ the USA involves itself in every election worldwide where it conceives there is a lack of either freedom or democracy.

The events most crucial to establishing which side in the current conflict bears most responsibility however leads us to the events of winter 2013-14 on Kiev’s main square, The Maidan. It is here that we see the ‘inclination toward violence’ exhibited most clearly and the question of ‘motivation’ reveals itself as crucial to establishing guilt.

It is clear that the initial protests on Maidan Square were peaceful. It is also clear that elements within Ukraine’s then security forces, the ‘Berkut’ at times acted with violence against some of those initial relatively peaceful protests.

As the initial peaceful protests continued the level of violence became ever more heightened as more radical and indeed extreme elements took over, by reports seen at the time, threatening the initial protesters with violence and gradually changing the whole tenor of the protest movement. Soon Molotov Cocktails were being thrown at the police and a variety of other life-threatening weapons began to be deployed.

The then president Yanukovych is understood to have rejected a request to arm the police who were armed only with a baton and shield. It was also requested by the same authorities that they be allowed to clear the square. If such requests were made he rejected them as neither eventuality transpired. It has been said that he instead favoured establishing a ‘dialogue’ with the protesters rather than acquiesce to any form of draconian move against them. This, it seems to me, indicates a motivation on the part of Yanukovych to avoid violence and to instead favour efforts to find common ground with the protesters.

Meanwhile, as deaths among the police force mounted (eventually reaching thirty eight fatalities) U.S. president Barack Obama called upon the Ukrainian authorities to safeguard the well being of those he referred to as ‘peaceful protesters’. This while government buildings were being taken over by the protesters and in once case at least burned down. In my opinion, in taking this stance he was directly condoning the violence on the Maidan by refusing to acknowledge it and instead lending his support to what was going on.

Obama’s stance was mirrored by several other U.S. officials, some of whom appeared on the Maidan offering the protesters their unambiguous support. While clubs of many kinds, bricks, toxic sprays, heavy chains and even a fork-lift truck were used to injure and kill the police figures such as Senator John McCain, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt and Victoria Nuland, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State arrived on the square to lend their unequivocal support.

Once again officials of the USA would without doubt state that the motivation for their involvement were once again freedom and democracy.

Events on the Maidan led to the overthrow of the president and government of that time and their replacement with those approved of by the USA. This then led to a more peaceful, largely non-violent insurrection in eastern Ukraine where government offices were taken over by protesters against what was framed as a coup on the Maidan.

The response of the new authorities in Kiev was to send the Ukrainian military to quell the insurrection there and to reassert the central authority of Kiev. This almost immediately took a violent form and over the next eight years to the present day an estimated total of fourteen thousand individuals have died. Once again I see the advocacy of violence being clearly from one side rather than from both.

The violence in eastern Ukraine raged through the rest of 2014 into 2015 with a ‘self-defence’ force having been raised to confront and fight the forces sent by Kiev and those of nationalist militias who had joined them. However, in mid to late 2015 it had become clear that the underfunded and badly equipped Ukrainian forces were being comprehensively beaten by the self-defence forces. It was at this point that the Kiev authorities agreed to talks with Russia also involving France and Germany. These talks eventuated in what became known as the Minsk Accords or Agreements.

The authorities in Kiev agreed at Minsk to establish direct talks with the leaders of the two new republics which had been formed after the insurrection in the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk. In addition they agreed that the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine would receive a special status providing it with enough autonomy to preserve its own unique culture, loyalties and language.

For the seven years following the agreements at Minsk, subsequently ratified at the United Nations, Russia continued to press for Ukraine to implement its commitments. Meanwhile, during this time Ukrainian forces continued their military assault on the largely Russian-speaking civilian population of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Despite daily reports of death among the civilian population and destruction of residential tower blocks, schools, hospitals, single-storey homes and urban centres the Russian authorities rejected calls by the republics to be accepted into the Russian Federation and put all hopes into the Minsk process.

In my view the patience of the Russian authorities demonstrates a desire to move forward toward a peaceful resolution of the situation where reconciliation between the two parties could maintain the integrity of the Ukrainian state and bring about renewed peaceful relations.

This patience by Russia lasted for seven years thereafter while no perceivable progress was made by the Kiev authorities toward peace and reconciliation. On the contrary, with the years Ukraine was seen to be rearming and quite clearly intent on a military solution rather than a peaceful one. In recent times Petro Poroshenko, the previous Ukrainian president to Zelensky and the ex-chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel have both admitted that the Minsk Agreement was merely a stalling tactic at a time the Ukrainian army was weak.

Here again we see the ‘motivation’ factor coming into play with a vengeance. Though Kiev claimed it was on the path to peace it was instead intent on war. This was exacerbated for Russia by two connected factors. Ukraine began to link in an ever-closer relationship with NATO, with joint training exercises and myriad related aspects which were aimed at strengthening the Ukrainian military.

Then, in late 2021 when Russia began to object most strongly to the ever-increasing encroachment of NATO on its borders with Ukraine clearly becoming a de facto NATO state, the U.S. authorities and in particular those of NATO demonstrated in their responses that Russia had little say in the matter.

Ukraine had been taken into the western political, economic and military orbit since the insurrection of 2014 and it was clear that sooner or later it would join both the EU and NATO, the former as a full member, the second in de facto form. Meanwhile Ukraine’s president Zelensky called for Ukraine to regain its nuclear status and began calling for a military campaign against Crimea.

Zelensky had been elected upon a ticket of ending the conflict in eastern Ukraine in 2019, but by 2021 had begun taking the diametrically opposite stance, one of increasingly draconian moves against the political opposition which favoured better relations with Russia. His rhetoric also increasingly hardened regarding Russia and the authorities within the new republics.

While this change in attitude by Zelensky in the spring of 2021 was becoming clear there were commensurate movements of Ukrainian troops to the contact line in the east. Then, toward the end of the year in what was to be the last Minsk meeting of the Normandy Quartet a marathon session of nine hours took place at the conclusion of which the Ukrainian representatives stated they no longer believed the Minsk Accords to be worthy of activation.

The rejection of Russian attempts to gain an agreement on Russia’s border security with the USA and NATO, followed by Ukraine’s rejection of the only available pathway to peace, the Minsk Accords was followed by OSCE reports through January and February of 2022 showing a massive increase in Ukrainian shelling of Donetsk and Luhansk/Lugansk. Then, only weeks before Russia initiated its operation in Ukraine Russian intelligence reportedly discovered a plan by Kiev to mount an all-out attack upon the republics.

Looking over the history of this conflict stretching back to 2014 and beyond it is clear to me that the motivations of both the USA and the Kiev authorities could hardly be personified as those directed toward peace. Instead, the combined effort appears to have been directed toward a variety of deceptions and machinations leading ultimately to the destruction of those in Russia they regarded as enemies.

Russia on the other hand appears to have been genuinely intent on a peaceful outcome that would preserve the sovereignty of Ukraine while guaranteeing the rights of the Russian-speaking majority in eastern Ukraine to live in peace with an adequate degree of autonomy in perpetuity.

It is my conclusion therefore that Russia was ultimately forced to take action against the Kiev authorities and their military forces due to having no good choice remaining to them and having hoped with great patience for the better part of a decade that they and their U.S. allies would take the path to peace in good faith.

On this basis I find the USA and the Kiev authorities to be most responsible for what is happening now and bear the guilt for all the loss of life, trauma, injury and destruction taking place now.

THE WESTERN POWERS HAVE GROWN OLD AND DISEASED AND ARE FAILING FAST

An enormous humiliation is lying in wait for the leaders of the USA, UK and Europe who continue to promote the policy in Ukraine that cannot help but speed up the day when it arrives.

There is one particular precedent for this coming humiliation, another case of western adventurism that went horribly wrong and ended with the same western powers of that time going home with their tails between their legs. This was the 'Suez Crisis'.

Undoubtedly relatively few reading this will be familiar with the Suez Crisis of 1954 during which the USA and Britain were humiliated. Here is the Wikipedia summary of the events of that time.

'In 1951 Egypt repudiated the 1936 treaty with Great Britain. In October 1954 the UK tentatively agreed to remove its troops from the Canal Zone. Because of Egyptian overtures towards the Soviet Union both the United Kingdom and the United States withdrew their pledge to financially support construction of the Aswan Dam. Egyptian President Gamel Abdel Nasser responded by nationalising the canal on 26 July 1956. On the same day that the canal was nationalised Nasser also closed the Straits of Tiran to all Israeli ships. This led to the Suez Crisis in which the UK, France, and Israel invaded Egypt. According to the pre-agreed war plans Israel invaded the Sinai Peninsula on 29 October, forcing Egypt to engage them militarily, and allowing the Anglo-French partnership to declare the resultant fighting a threat to stability in the Middle East and enter the war – officially to separate the two forces but in reality to regain the Canal and bring down the Nasser government.

To save the British from what he thought was a disastrous action and to stop the war from a possible escalation, Canadian Secretary of State for External Affairs Lester B. Pearson proposed the creation of the first United Nations peacekeeping force to ensure access to the canal for all and an Israeli withdrawal from the Sinai Peninsula. On 4 November 1956, a majority at the United Nations voted for Pearson's peacekeeping resolution, which mandated the UN peacekeepers to stay in Sinai unless both Egypt and Israel agreed to their withdrawal. The United States backed this proposal by putting pressure on the British government through the selling of sterling, which would cause it to depreciate. Britain then called a ceasefire, and later agreed to withdraw its troops by the end of the year.'

The Ukraine Crisis when it is told of by future historians will massively outdo that of the now almost forgotten 'Suez Crisis'. The 'Suez Crisis' has been overtaken by several of more recent memory. The hurried withdrawal from Vietnam and in recent years Afghanistan are two such crises where humiliation of one kind or another were meted out to the western powers. When analysed closely it will be found that Russia's entry into the conflict in Suez and the virtual end of the West's covert weaponizing of any and all forces there to unseat Syria's president will also be seen as a humiliating defeat. A defeat also for those who the USA, UK and France assisted in this effort such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Despite on humiliation after another since the 'Suez Crisis' and later Vietnam the western powers never somehow learn their lesson and desist. The 'Ukraine Crisis' as it will no doubt come to be known show this.

We all know the famous saying, 'Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it' and never was there a more appropriate group to label on this score as the western powers, primarily the USA and UK. Why might this be?

It has been called 'The White Man's Burden' in the past and though sensibilities have changed somewhat this saying still lies at the heart of why no lessons are ever learned regarding interventions across the world by the collective West.

From Wikipedia once more:

'In "The White Man's Burden" (1899), a poem by Rudyard Kipling about the Philippine-American War (1899–1902) he exhorts the United States to assume colonial control of the Filopino people and their country. Originally written to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria (22 June 1897).

Kipling encourages the American annexation and colonisation of the Philippine Islands, a Pacific Ocean archipelago conquered in the three-month Spanish–American War (1898). Kipling exhorts the American reader and listener to take up the enterprise of empire yet warns about the personal costs faced, endured, and paid in building an empire; nonetheless, American imperialists understood the phrase "the white man's burden" to justify imperial conquest as a civilising mission that is ideologically related to the continental expansion philosophy of manifest destiny of the early 19th century.'

You can see that this frame of mind whereby it is thought that there is an inherent right and duty of the superior and exceptional to come and rearrange the lives of those who they consider to be primitive and inferior. This is of course racist in the extreme. But you will find this attitude, in unspoken form, at the heart of every intervention across the world by the same nations that perpetrated them in the past.

Now these attitudes are embroidered by what are considered to be "better" motivations and intentions. Now we are expected to believe that these people merely wish to bring 'freedom' and 'democracy' to the world. And by whatever means they find most amenable to their abilities and influence, whether than be by missiles and bombs, sanctions or the undermining of governments by means of bribery, threat, sabotage, assassination or the latest means, colour revolutions. Revolutions such as the 'Orange Revolution' in Ukraine in 2004 or the 'Rose Revolution' in Georgia or, to come full circle with Rudyard Kipling, the 'Yellow Revolution' in the Philippines.

If you believe the motivation behind these attempts by the West to remove certain national authorities and replace them by ones of their choosing are idealistic and well-intended I think you will at least agree that the results have been less than envisaged and indeed have in every case have had extremely negative consequences.

You may ask yourself what became of 'The Arab Spring' as well as the great enthusiasm that was expressed regarding the wonderful leap forward in Iraq regarding the democratic process being installed there. Then perhaps take a look at Libya and what is occurring there. You may have to dig deep as along with Afghanistan news has become extremely scare. Is the same about to occur in the case of Ukraine also? Ukraine was the most recent case of a revolution that was in truth an insurrection receiving fulsome western support.

On Kiev's Maidan those killing police using any means that came to hand such as paving stones, Molotov Cocktails or every variety of home made club, hunting rifles and hand guns were lauded as 'peaceful protesters' by Barack Obama as he exhorted the then Ukrainian authorities to leave them alone. Leave them alone as they burned down government offices and hit the lightly armed police (batons and shields only) with anything they could find such as heavy chains, toxic sprays and, in one case, a fork lift truck.

The above was celebrated in the West as a high point of people power while more than fifteen young policemen died. Senior American politicians and "diplomats" shouted on these insurrectionists and in one infamous occasion handed out cookies to them before their nightly riot. In this we can catch the same flavour of hypocrisy that attends every such western intervention into the affairs of others worldwide. There is one law for us and an entirely different law for all others.

Try attending a demonstration in the United States of America if you are a senior Russian or Chinese political figure. Yet there on Kiev's Maidan Square you could find people such as Senator John McCain standing on the same stage on the square beside the leader of a Ukrainian political party that uses the 'Hitler Salute' along with so many others in western Ukraine. On the square too you would have seen Geoffrey Pyatt, the U.S. Ambassador at the time and Victoria Nuland who still to this day occupies a senior foreign policy position in the Biden administration. Does she still say "Fuck the EU"? We don't know. Probably.

The hubris of the USA and UK, stemming in a direct line from the genocidal and slaving past of both, along with Britain's brutal colonial exploits continues to "inform" their adventures of today wherein they have the absolute gall to deign to tell the world how it should live... or else.

But all this expressed hubris is coming to the end of its shelf life. Those nations that the USA and UK along with their sidekicks in the EU were able to threaten, bribe and coerce in various ways will not take any of that any more. They have become stronger and perceive those like China and Russia have become stronger too and are closer by than the dangerous wannabe dictators the USA and UK. Those two are weaker by far now due to the rise of the Eurasian nations. Those Eurasian nations have long memories, they are good students also. They know what these two bullies have done in the past. They remember all the times they had their arms-twisted and worse, much worse... by these two thugs. And they won't tolerate such behaviour ANY MORE.

The two malignant entities of the West have grown old and weak. Their weapons have been matched, their threats don't raise fear levels like they once used to and are now more likely to raise a sneer and out-thrusting of a middle finger rather than a bowing of the head in obedience. Those days of supplication to the master, of bowing and scraping are well and truly over or at the very least on the cusp of ending. Disdain is taking the place of compliance, disobedience to their commands is now commonplace as in refusing to criticise Russia over Ukraine. The West has become impotent in its failing old age, corrupted and debt-ridden internally, diseased at its core and failing to see how laughable, how utterly risible are its commands now.

THE RECKLESS DESPERATION OF WESTERN LEADERS THREATENS US ALL

The western powers, especially the USA and UK are becoming reckless in their desperation as their rabidly desired goal of maintaining western patrician control and even raising its level back again to unipolar status is slipping ever faster from them.

Their goal of global hegemony, primarily having its most recent genesis in 9/11 drives them to distraction. They foresaw themselves in control of what would in fact be a prison planet under constant surveillance in order to feel safe again. For them they are the natural warders of our planet and no other status is acceptable to them. Hence their current state of reckless desperation.

The current 'war mode' of the leaders of what has been called 'The Collective West' regarding Russia and Ukraine has made them redouble the level of condition of western populations which they deem necessary. This has been assisted to an enormous extent through the alacrity with which the entirety of western media has complied with this need. The level of conditioning of western populations through a totally one-sided and therefore totally skewed reporting of the history of the Russo-Ukraine situation and the everyday reality of events on the ground in eastern Ukraine has delivered populations that are now conditioned to an extent not seen since World War Two.

Due to the factors above I see no hope for any change in the current extremely dangerous situation unless one of two things happen.

The first hope lies in those who are currently in power at the highest level of western politics are removed from power by some means. The first means is of course the ballot box. The second would require internal changes to the upper echelons of the political and intelligence spheres of influence within the standing administrative services of western nations.

The changes envisaged above are uncertain in a western world that since 9/11 has become propagandised to an extremely pervasive extent. It is far from certain that enough awareness of the true nature of the causes of the dangers faced is realised among the general public. Secondly, the most powerful administrative positions within the political and intelligence spheres since 9/11 have primarily been filled by those with hardline views on western foreign policy and they hold sway to this day. Those who are generally defined as neoconservatives have a virtual stranglehold on power across western nations and will be determined to maintain their hold at all costs.

The combination of extreme views and a conviction that they are absolutely right in their views and that it is absolutely vital (as they see it) for them to stay in place and complete their task means that both the political and administrative neoconservatives are hardly likely to allow themselves to be removed from their positions without an extremely hard fight. We can see their totalitarian responses now permeating down through all western nations currently.

The second hope is the one I believe stands the greater chance of eventually succeeding in removing the neoconservatives from power or at the very least quarantining them to the degree that their power to dominate the world is significantly lessened to the point where it becomes virtually negligible. This process is underway currently but still has quite far to run before its full effect will be felt. This is the process of a continuing shift in power form west to east, from semi-unipolarity to full multipolarity. We can see in this current moment how the nations of what is loosely called 'The Global South' and has previously been known as 'The Developing World' or 'The Third World' are demonstrating a new determination to stand on their own feet and not be coerced in any way by the western powers as was so often the case in the past.

The process of moving from the semi-unipolarity to full multipolarity has been described by Professor John J. Mearsheimer as the moving of global 'glaces plates' comparing these shits in political alliances and allegiances to the movement of tectonic plates and having as great an effect on the geopolitical world as they physical plates do on the geographical. Unfortunately for us the first process is of a much greater and slower duration than the second which is devastating in its power and brevity. The movement of power and influence from unipolarity to multipolarity is very gradual and has already been underway for several decades. However, we see in this moment that the process has at last begun to pick up speed.

The Eurasian axis is cohering to an ever greater degree and this process appears unstoppable at this point. The nations involved are cohering at significant speeds currently. We van see this in the extraordinary number of nations that are applying to join the BRICS economic grouping currently. This group, primarily led by China, Russia and India is clearly rising to become an every greater source of cohesion among nations that are clearly evidencing their unwillingness to be dominated by the western powers in all future years.

The current recklessness of the western powers due to their desperation regarding the above, primarily those of the USA and UK, is becoming more obvious by the day. The more they struggle to even maintain their current position let alone boost it to total global control in a reconstituted unipolar dictatorship the more the leaders across nations not within the collective West eye them with increasing anxiety, disapproval, fear and ultimately... disdain. I see no likelihood of these circumstances diminishing as the factors involved appear hard-wired to remain. The hard-liners now in power in the West are as religious zealots with a mission they feel they MUST deliver to the world. Their fixity of view appears to offer no hope of any light of awareness of the consequences of their disastrous policies in pursuit of that mission entering their minds to any significant degree. And currently to no degree at all if my perception of their mindsets is correct.

Considering the two possibilities for fundamental changes within western society that might defuse the present extreme danger of increasing and spreading conflict potentially leading to a wider and much more deadly war it seems clear to me that we cannot escape the fact that conditions will worsen without limit in the short term. The possibilities for more hope in the medium term are uncertain and depend on some currently unexpected change in the level of political and media recklessness across the western political and media elites.

In recent days a somewhat more realistic and objective trend has been seen in western mass media regarding Ukraine. Doubts are now being expressed about certain policies compared with on the ground realities and I would predict that such scepticism that exists now about the western state policies regarding Ukraine will only increase. I do not feel this factor will prove most crucial in diminishing the primal danger that faces us now however. Electoral defeats will help in the medium term if enough awareness concerning the disastrous policies of the present political incumbents in reference to Ukraine is realised broadly enough in time. But for the long term the glacial movement that is now quickening for power to migrate steadily from west to east will, I feel certain, prove the final route to an assurance that we will move to calmer waters and a safer world overall. Surviving the short and medium term storms is not certain however due to the remaining vast power and determined will of western elites to maintain their position and perceived mission.

WILL VLADIMIR PUTIN DECLARE WAR ON UKRAINE TODAY?

You may recall that last year Russia issued a stern warning to Kiev that if it persisted in targeting locations within Russia it would begin targeting control and decision-making centres within Ukraine. It has not done so until now as the Russian leadership has not declared war on Ukraine, contrary to what is perhaps the opinion of most regarding Russia’s actions since February 24th. The Russian leadership certainly does not categorise its actions in Ukraine as constituting a war. This is why it designated the campaign in Ukraine as a special military operation.

This is not merely sophistry. As most insightful observers will confirm, Russia has not been conducting a full blown war against Ukraine despite the lurid tales that western mass media has regaled readers and viewers with since Russia’s campaign began. If the U.S. approach in the Iraq war is compared with the situation in Ukraine the difference between the approaches can easily be seen. To today's date, the 21st of February 2023 Russia's campaign continues from its initiation on February 24th 2022 under its designated status as a 'Special Military Operation'.

Russia regards the Russian-speaking people living in the Donbass in the same way as they do their own citizens, therefore it would be wholly inconceivable for the Russian military to go in all guns blazing destroying everything wholesale including vital infrastructure. In addition, the mission to liberate the Russian-speaking population there requires the cooperation of the civilian population both during and after victory over the Ukrainian regime. For both these reasons creating a humanitarian disaster and mass slaughter of civilians just to eliminate the Ukrainian army in their positions is unacceptable.

The Ukrainian army, as confirmed by Amnesty International in their report last year, is heavily embedded within the civilian population across the entire area Russia is seeking to liberate. This is why the incremental gains by the Russian military appear excruciatingly slow to many outside observers. Naturally Russia has the capacity, through a bombing campaign or using hypersonic missiles or even nuclear devices, to completely decimate all areas where the Ukrainian army faces them. However, until now it has demonstrated commendable restraint.

This may be about to change. Though the targets decided upon if a change does occur will not necessarily be in the area directly facing the Russian military, at least not in the Majority of cases. There are several reasons why a change in tactics may occur comprised of an expansion of targets for attacks.

It has now become clear that the western powers are seeking endlessly to escalate the conflict and have no desire to take any conceivable path toward peace. All the talk is of supplying the Ukrainian regime with ever more powerful weaponry including missiles with a longer range. Talk of providing fighter jets has also been heard. This blind insistence of escalating the conflict to ever greater heights will bring an inevitable Russian response and that response we may hear the details of very soon.

In recent times the Ukrainian armed forces have been making an increasing number of attacks on Russian territory. Initially these attacks targeted Belgorod, within the Russian Federation north of Kharkov, then a number of attacks targeting the Crimean peninsula. Closer to the present attacks also killed a number of personnel and did some damage targeting Russian airfields deep inside Russia. Multiple red lines were crossed.  In addition, the murder of the daughter of a prominent Russian figure by a Ukrainian agent last year also contributed to a number of last straws for Russia. Overall however, it is the constant escalation by the western powers regarding weaponry plus the obvious disinterest in having negotiations toward a resolution of the conflict that is focusing Russian minds.

It can be expected that, as in past occurrences where additional action was deemed necessary, a debate will occur in Russia’s parliament, the Duma where additional powers may be granted to the Russian president. Perhaps these will merely extend targets to a limited degree, however, the possibility exists that more significant powers will be granted, such as the ability to authorise a declaration of war and with this authorisation, to extend attacks to Ukrainian control and command centres and even perhaps the authorisation for President Putin to order tactical nuclear strikes on positions and major military/intelligence assets not previously targeted.

Whether any of the above occurs will depend on the judgement of the president and those issuing new levels of authority to him in the Duma. If the current escalations planned by the West are regarded as serious enough seeing that a near future end to the current special military operation is unavailable and also, bringing into consideration the recent increasing number of attacks being made by Ukraine within Russia, then the authorisation provided may well be open ended.

Under these circumstances can it be possible that Russia will now seriously consider declaring war on Ukraine and opening up the prospect of targeting those locations currently off limits, potentially including the authorisation of limited tactical nuclear strikes? I suspect so. Time will tell.

The tactic being deployed by the western powers opposing Russia through a sustained Ukrainian defence is composed of an attempt to weaken Russian resolve through a continued military response by the Ukrainian forces. And also of course to completely ignore all admonitions to take part in negotiations/peace talks. We see this policy of the U.S., UK and European powers as reflected in the attitude and public statements of Zelensky and those around him. The Ukrainian policy, as repeatedly stated, is to refuse to take part in any talks with Russia until Russia leaves all Ukrainian land taken by them. This Russia will never do.

Russia’s statements regarding Ukrainian political elites who persist in targeting locations within Russia have been clear.  The Russian leadership can be seen to repeatedly have had its hand forced by the escalation emanating from the collective West and declaring war on Ukraine, or formally declaring it a terrorist state appear to be strong possibilities now. If such a decision is made and formally authorised then the number and type of targets in Ukraine will very likely be much expanded to include decision-making and control centres, vital infrastructure including internet access and much, much more. A full scale war waged against Ukraine is something that has not been seen to date and would certainly proceed to devastate what is left of Ukraine.

Especially hard hit would be nodes of central command, including those where western and NATO expertise are located. All transport networks would be targeted, not just those suspected of transporting weapons. Storage depots of all types, not simply those having known association with the Ukrainian military. Electricity and gas infrastructure would then very likely become targets. As was talked of when the USA waged war against Iraq, a collapsing of whatever is left of Ukraine's vital infrastructure would be sought and likely to take the country back toward an earlier, impoverished state, if not back to the Stone Age.

These are my forebodings on what may occur now that it is clear that the present desire of the western elites is to constantly urge the Ukrainian leadership to fight on without any movement toward a resolution of hostilities through a negotiated peace. This point appears to have passed with the attacks on the Russian homeland, the attacks on Crimea, the terrorist murder of Darya Dugina and the endless supply of weaponry to the Ukrainian regime by the West and its minions. We must await the deliberations of Vladimir Putin and the Russian Duma.

Will Russia declare war upon Ukraine with all this signifies? I fear so. At that point the world enters a yet more dangerous situation than even the one already confronting us. With all sides facing an existential threat to their power, sovereignty and security and so being resolutely unable to back down, by all sides seeing ever more escalation as the only way in the circumstances to pursue their vital interests, the end result can only mean the threat of not only all-out war in Ukraine but the ever-increasing threat of a nuclear war between Russia and the entire collective West.

THE WESTERN POLITICAL DRIVE FOR GLOBAL HEGEMONY MAY KILL US ALL

The western political elites are in a state of apoplexy due to the knowledge that unless they do something truly drastic they will lose all the power over the rest of the world that they have enjoyed for so long. Due to this rabidly panic-driven state of mind they are now capable of the most instance acts possible. We truly have come to the point where they appear to be ready to destroy the world if they cannot continue to control it.

All limitations appear to have been dispensed with by those who lead the USA and UK now. Admittedly their European allies are less sanguine about the possible atrocities these two are willing to unleash to maintain their position as global top dogs (as they see it).  Nothing is off the table from the use of ISIS/al Qaeda terrorists trained, financed and armed smuggled into Russia to perpetrate acts of sabotage and murder to create chaos to the use of tactical nuclear weapons anywhere as these insane megalomaniacs see fit.

Currently they are ready to do almost anything to distract the sheep at home from the reality of the caving in of western economies along with the ways of life they support. It’s all coming down on their heads just at the time when they thought their clever wheeze against Russia would be putting them back up where they think they belong, on top able to maximize benefit to their own interest by manipulating the rest of us. It wasn’t meant to be like this. Russia was meant to be in chaos, not their own nations. This makes them even more dangerous.

Desperation makes people do desperate things sometimes and the cretinous egomaniacs at the top of the political tree in North America and so-called Great Britain are approaching their most desperate state yet. This because the second part of their plan to destroy Russia looks likely to also blow back on them and may well blow them all out of office to be replaced, hopefully, by others with much more sense. Russia is within months of totally defeating the ambitions of the western powers in Ukraine. The humiliation to the entire panoply of these piss-poor politicians will then be complete.

So watch out. This may be when the fireworks truly start. Distractions will be many and quite likely, spectacular. They won’t just be about farcical furores concerning balloons and flying saucers, the next distractions could well lose thousands, if not millions, their lives. That is how much the demise of western power and the losing of the fix these power junkies have enjoyed for generations, means to them. It’s the absolute end for them, anathema, unbelievable… they, the self-appointed, God-anoited wardens, shepherds, guardians, judges, jurors and executioners of our world face their redundancy. Those who give themselves exceptional status, they who pronounce themselves superior to all others, granting themselves the posts of communal dictator over the rest of us who they consider primitives to be herded into pens or abattoir at their choice.

These demagogues in designer suits are ready to contemplate mass murder to save their scrawny political necks. Can you feel the pulse of the zeitgeist currently? The fevered atmosphere is coming down from on high this time. It’s no terrorist plot as on 9/11 coming from insane zealots below. It’s coming from on high, from those ivory towers where the western elites squat who think they are the most ultimately entitled, entitled through some inherent and inalienable right that no one but themselves granted to them.

They want global hegemony and permanently and without any more risks to it this time. In past times they only had it by means of the threat they could use as a weapon to wield if some individual or nation got uppity. They had avenues they could use via submissive and compliant allies to strike just about anywhere they chose and everyone knew it. Now, in these recent days those who were weak and unable to refuse to assist are now finally standing up to the twin bullies of our world, the USA and UK. They are refusing to cooperate. In recent times they said, no, fuck that for a game of soldiers, we are NOT supporting you against Russia and we won’t support you later against China either!

So, how desperate do you think this makes these overweening cowards who beat their breasts in safety while others die, these egomaniacs, psychopaths and wannabe world dictators? Very desperate indeed. And willing to do just about anything at this point and I do mean anything. The world has never been in a more dangerous time than now. I see world but of course the world will do just fine no matter what, it is we humans who must worry… it is we who may well die in our millions at the hands of these insane and extremely evil men and women. Isn’t it time we rose from our torpor and dragged them out kicking and screaming from their lairs before they demonstrate just how mind-burningly insane they are?

UKRAINE: ITS RECENT HISTORY, CURRENT REALITY & CONCLUSION

The Ukraine war is reaching a critical stage. Crucial aspects of western narratives are now being questioned. The reality is at last being d...
